Please don't use the hydrocortizone too long on your face, it'll make your skin very thin. I've heard that by spending more time at the beach help reduce the eczema flare ups.
OMG! that happened to me, eczemahebadada it just went all over my face, then i took a super cold shower and rubbed the cold water on my face, and when i went out of the shower it just dissapeared and my eczema was under control, then this summer the " shingles " thing happened again.. i didnt even want to go out of the house. well yeah it went away but im scared its going to come back.. its weird cuz some of my " shingles " or the eczema herbblahlah thing turned into patches of eczemathis summer
Hey, you look amazing.. also.. as far as i know, you shouldnt use hydrocortisone too much on the face, its supposed to be too strong. I recommend you try cutting out any cows milk based food, and cows milk itself. Take Vitamin B plus suppliments and use Dead Skin Sea Spa shower gel and St Ives extreme dry skin intensive lotion as it has collagen which most people with excema seem to lack and i bet your skin will be just fine. Message me if you wanna know more.. it worked for my excema.
I hate Protopic and it doesn't seem to work for me anymore, either. I began using it four years ago (on my face) and, lo and behold, a miracle happened but, now it does nothing at all. It's not much fun walking around with the awful burning sensation when the medicine doesn't do its job.
I am tired of using all the steroid creams, so I am going to my doctor tomorrow for a referral for a dermatologist. Tried Aveeno and it seemed to work a few days. I do use the Aveeno oatmeal baths and they seem to help some. I now am using Eurcerin which I forgot I had. It seems to be okay. I have been so itchy and not able to sleep. It sucks so much. You itch and itch and never have any relief and then your skin is hot and crawls. I hope we can all find something that works!
don't use cortisone or steriods, they just mask the symptoms and are actually worse for u in the long run. my friend, what u should do is diet, and try the natural way of healing, look into coconut oil and apple cider vinegar.
Hi I have eczema on my palms and soles of both of my feet. I find that when the itch is too much and unbearable I apply an ice pack (ice cubes in a ziploc bag) and within minutes my skin calms down and the itch is virtually gone. This skin condition is a major pain in the ass. Good luck!
Oh man, is everyone going through a good streak with their eczema? Mine has been behaving, but thats probably because I'm such a nazi when it comes to mosturizing.
Thank you so much lyss! My eczema was so bad that my whole neck was red crusty and PAINFUL. My doctor was so suprised at how bad I looked so she made me take an oral steriod for 5 days but that's another story. I don't have huge rashes anymore but now I'm itching all over my body and it wakes me up at night and I can't go back to sleep. I've gone back to steriod creams but i'm using a lower dosage. Here's to hoping we get better!
And also ask your dermatologist about Cellcept, because my dermatologist wants to put me on that and he says his patients have had wonderful results. The only reason im not on it now is because I recently had surgery and Im still healing and all that, so we are just gonna wait until im cleared with my surgeon to start that up, but um check out my video "The day before my Orthagnathic surgery; eczema and natural hair video" I talk about some of the things I use there :]
lmao @ eczema herbididididahhh. BUT GIRL OMG UR AMAZINGGG. I HAVE SO HAD SHINGLES TOO &&& IT SUCKSSS SOO BADDD. I believe it was derived from all the stress I was going through. At any point did it burn like fire? because i never ever want that to ever happen to me again. it was disgusting. and yes ive used VANICREAM before, but Aquaphor does better for me since it is mostly like oil based. AND GIRL USE THE TRIAMCINILONE. I use that too, but the gave me a big tub of it, only sparingly tho.
Wait what's shingles?

VaniCream is cool. I use olive oil with mine. Your face actually looks beautiful. My derm is actually talking about putting me on a pill for my skin.
It could also be the weather. It's warmer now and I know the humidity effect my skin.
