  • lmao at the people on the sidewalk

  • I'm so sorry about your crash with this very nice car

  • that sounds dope as fuck! sick vid

  • How much is a rev limiter? i NEED one on my car. or how can i reprogram one thats in it to the same rpm

  • I feel bad for that clutch

  • That seems highly practical actually.

    How does it work?

Do the modifications let you have the accel throttle pressed without reving the engine when the clutch is still down so that it will start reving when the clutch is released?

  • @Scourgeandmephiles93 It's basically a rev limiter that you set the RPM on. You select, say, 5500 rpm. When you shift into the next gear, you keep your foot on the gas and it holds the RPM for you until you release the clutch again. I have it in my STI and it's awesome.

  • @Heedlessone If I ever get my hands on a Nissan 200 SX I'm gonna try to get one installed myself. Sounds like it helps with everyday driving as well. Also, you won't burn the clutch as fast either, because you won't have to hold it halfway up/down ever.

  • @Scourgeandmephiles93 I use it everyday, for sure.

  • @Heedlessone What to you limit the revs to before putting the car in gear/releasing clutch in gear?

  • @Scourgeandmephiles93 I rev it up to 6k or so and shift gears.

  • @Heedlessone While standing still or while rolling?

Changing into second only on revs, from stand still, sounds effective. 1st gear to second usually is a bitch and makes one lose time on a speed lap.

  • @Scourgeandmephiles93 While you're rolling. It cuts shift times down significantly.

  • Why am I not surprised you wrecked this car at all?

  • Flat-foot shifting is when you don't release the accelerator when you shift, you just ram through gears with constantly holding accelerator at full open. So it needs to be done very quick and very hard, otherwise you can grind synchro gears. Yes, it's very abusive. Yes, it's very fun and quick. Normally only used on track.

  • how much PSI and Hp u putting out

  • FFS is very new to me. How do I benefit from this?

  • @TeddySharonz the rpms won't drop as much when ffs compared to quick shifting

  • what exactly is "flat foot" shifting?

  • @calloftehviking7 It's Shifting without letting off the gas. GTS!

  • Its officialy a total loss =(

Got some money from the insurance, bought it back, waiting to sell the car, and buy me a built 05 STi.

  • @elitescouter keep the car, buy an affordable GC impreza (93-01) and swap EVERYTHING over. if everything is still intact that is...

  • @MrBrumbysti Sold the car 5 months ago. Got me a 09 Mazda 6, don't like it so I am going to be looking to buy an STi this summer.

  • @elitescouter anything 07 and newer is prone to ringland failure, just so you know... stick to the STi 8 like this one!

  • I posted a new video before and after the accident, doesen't look too good =(

  • My car was just in an accident 4 hrs ago =(

  • @elitescouter damn dude........sounds mean too.......how bad was the damage

  • thats called 2 step. its doing the "perfect launch" for you

  • Thats bad ass, and it kinda makes me wanna do it for my WRX, but really need to think about what you are doing before you go screwing around and showing it off in the middle of the day on a busy street. You really couldn't find a secluded road or wait until night time? Think about the safety of others rather than your childish need to show off.

  • Can STI gearboxes actually handle a fair amount of this kind of abuse? I would love to buy one, but I'm scared I'd abuse the gearbox too much and break it. I've hear that clutch dumping a regular (non STI) WRX will destroy the gearbox pretty quick.

  • is the cobb sf intake the short ram one?

  • lol that lady thought the boxer was gonna nom her lol XD

  • 0:22 you're scaring the women and children

  • iight yo peaacee

  • LOL I love the fear you placed in those innocent pedestrians hearts upon your launch. THIS car is SWEET and BOV VTA is pure mechanical orgasm

  • Perfect launch is right. Good shifting man.

  • Nice.. What Clutch?

  • @cobbtunedsti Exedy Stg2 Clutch with a light flywheel. Got like 30k miles on it so far and still going strong. Sucks every time I want to upgrade a clutch its minimum $1k+

  • FUCKING SEXIEST SOUND IN THE WORLD, HITTING THAT DAMM LIMMITTER

  • @drkstr7 I know right!!!! I love it and every chance I get I roll down all my windows and listen to the beast! Who needs a sound system!!!

  • Hows the ignition cut treating your turbo and power train? I heard that an ignition cut vs a fuel cut is harder on our engines cause you're dumping unburnt fuel into the turbo and exhaust piping that detonates from the exhaust gas temp. Have you noticed any accelerated wear or damage?

  • When I saw this I was actually wow'd at how fast that thing got off the line

    0-60 times?

  • I don't like your exhaust :)

  • soooo sexy!

  • jesus that car rapes off the line. I bet you don't get many cars faster than you from 0-60

  • I don't mean to sound like a noob but I don't know too much about STi's. What is flat foot shifting and what are the benefits of a welded turbo?

  • @Zeke8762 well, flat foot shifting is when u got ur car(or a motorcycle, in which case it is just full throttle shifting) set up, so that u can shift gear without easing off gas. it can also be set up so that u don't have to touch the clutch, u just ram in the next gear, and moving the shifter knob cuts the ignition so that u'll have lightning fast shifts and no engine lag after shifts.

  • @codenamecordon So pretty much its power shifting. Which wears the hell out of your clutch and eats the shit out of gas.

  • @Zeke8762 if ur doing it with ur grandma's stock clutch, then yes, ofcourse, ur clutch is dead after a few times. however, with a high performance/racing clutch, u can do it, and still sleep at night;) I don't know THAT percisely about cars, but with motorcycles, even when powershifting, a season or two aint a problem. and with lower hp bikes, u can even go past 3 seasons:D

  • @codenamecordon Haha I don't even know what a season is. I don't spend money on racing clutches. I prefer to dump my money of upgraded superchargers and exhaust.

  • @Zeke8762 redneck, are we?:D:D but you should think about a racing clutch, coz it really means a faster ride. especially on the straight line;D and well, a racing season is the time from the first race to the last race of a particular racing class that year. or, from the first practices to the last race of a racing class that year. depending on your location and your discipline, league and class, it can be either a part of a year with good weather for that sport, or even the whole year :D

  • @codenamecordon Ok. Well first of all, just because I like a Whipple 3.9 Liter does not make me a redneck so watch your mouth. And second the only track I go to the the strip, so I guess a clutch could help, but I don't need to know anything about the seasons because my car would loose control on every turn with the RWD. Now the STi on the other hand, haha. Yeah you get the point.

  • @Zeke8762 well, I didn't really say, ur a redneck, it was intended as a question.but it wasn't my intention to insult you.and, well, u could know about seasons, coz dragracing has seasons too:Dcoz, the summaries/roundups are done in the end of the season, so there surely are seasons, so they can tell, who's the champ.plus, RWD doesn't mean u can't control the car in corners.think GT for example.and, no, I don't really know, what u meant about the STI?that it handles good or bad?I'd say good

  • @codenamecordon WRONG!!!

  • @stipower20 u mean, the STI handles bad?

  • great launches man, any effects on the turbo? does it heat up too much ? or it only happens when you have anti-lag installed..

  • @mteja05 thats only with anti-lag installed.

  • The people on the side of the road at :20 are like wtf!

  • Great Launches but hitting the limiter too much

  • @greddy376 its actually flat foot shifting limiter I was hitting which is ignition cut.

Its set to 6.5k... if you try and FFS at anything bellow 7k... it won't go into the gear.

  • @elitescouter Alright thats a good feature nice

  • @elitescouter Good vid - clearly shows the FFS in effect.

You're running ignition cut? hmm, figured it would after-fire more. How much boost are you seeing between shifts with FFS?

I'm running injector cut and am seeing about 15 psi. Would like to run ign cut (it typically holds more boost between shifts IIRC) but unfortunately it also adds more stress to the valve-train.

  • @isamu207 I am running 20 psi at the moment full boost, in between shifts with FFS it only drops 2 psi so 18 and then it jumps back to 20.

  • @greddy376 Thats the flat foot shifting, I just wasen't near redline when I engaged flat foot shifting and its set for 6500 rpm so it woldn't shift hence it bouncing on the flat foot shifting ignition cut.

  • @elitescouter Nice I get it now when i put that comment up i didnt know about flat foot shifting but now i do.

  • @elitescouter try setting it where you want the rpms to be for your next shift instead. say 5500 or 5700

  • awesome launch
