  • The cost omitted from the calculation was the liability payments the dude in the Hummer

would have to pay the dude driving the Sonata.

Loss of future income? If he was a 25 yr old driver it would easily exceed $1M, General damages $1600, Punitive damages for pain and suffering $300,000, special costs (lawyers) $50,000, loss of enjoyment of life $100k.....the dude in the Hummer will be taking the bus. This video illustrates why NOT to buy a Hummer. Buhahahaha!!

  • BTW, rear ending ANYONE is automatically 100% fault to the driver doing the ramming.

  • @Quartz482 Not all the time

  • @firedemon101 in exceptional cases that come few and far between you would be correct. But the point I was making was trying to make was the damage estimates used in the video omitted other costs that are significantly higher. Just thought it was worth while to include them.

  • Hummer was trying to help that guy open his trunk to put groceries inside. How nice. ^_^

  • who in their right state of mind would drive a freaking hyundai? its like driving a skoda, not a big fan of the H3 tho, like the H1 (or the original if you wish) better. :)

  • yeah

    Hyundai *****

    Hummer rocks!

You shouldn't drive a hummer otherwise theyr gng 2 call us an insult.

  • but but but the hummer gets bad gas mileage stfu you hippies id rather pay more for gas if these are the results

  • how fast were they going?

  • @player1vladimir 5 MPH!?

  • dude the hummer barely did anything while the hyaundai got killed

  • The point of the test was to show how uneven bumpers, SUV to car, damages both vehicles in a minor fender bender. H3 got killed at the front end, underneath. It didn't look so bad on the outside. Major components got punctured by Hundai's trunk lid. Either way your insurance premium would go up, if you were unfortunate to be involved in something like this.

  • How was anything punctured by the trunk lid if it didn't even go up (which means it was parallel with the front end of the H3) until after they weren't in contact anymore ?

Did you mean it was punctured by the unibody when it went up on top of it ?

  • @83ls What components were punctured on the Hummer? Just curious. I assume you were somehow a part of the test since you have this information.

  • would love to see that test done at 40mph

  • h2s and h3s only look tough.... humvees and H1s are the only REAL hummers.

  • ramp that speed up and you got yourself a mess

  • that was a good 1

  • nom nom nom I eat you! Poor Sonata

  • owned lol

  • Imagine if the hummer had the brushguard.

  • lol and in a real life situation the driver of the hummer would jump out and say "You scratched my truck!" lol

  • lol like that one

  • @firedemon101 lol...that's the truth

  • @edmundlancelot for real lol

  • true dat

because people who drive hummers are assholes

  • Yeah, but thats a $1700 scratch. Damaged headlights and radiator, and I forgot what else. POS korean had $4700 worth of damage. The whole rear end was damaged. Trunk and tail lights and rear bumper. So if you hit this "car" with this "truck" you would have $6400 worth of damage, and thats at 5 mph.

  • Take a 4500lbs Korean truck and slam it into the back of a 3100lb GM American car. The damage would be similar. And dont kid yourself.

  • stupid hummer! haha

  • lol take that

  • FIRST! BOO YAH! LOL! =)
