oh and ghouls can be playable when u die. there is a power were wen u die u become a ghoul 4 2 mins plus u get the ghoul move as soon as u start just fill your talent tree with the ghoul talents!

unholy dks are the only ones to get minions though they can only get a ghoul no other minion but ghouls are still good at start they are limited in time but become permanent when u select master of ghouls in ur talent tree

Ok, to summon a ghould you need to have a killed a humanoid target thats gives Xp, or Honor. That means it needs to be your level and human. Also, if you put your talents into "Unholy" your ghoul will not die over time, only if it gets killed in combat. - WoWgrant Please Subscribe! =]

Not only does that talent make the pet act as a pet and stay with you, but It will also have a selection of abilities, a pet bar, and you can even use corpse explosion with it to make it explode and deal lots of damage to all nearby foes!

Plus having it like a pet gives it a random name every time. My 2 best ghoul names are Graverobber and Skullface!

It is called master of ghouls, you get them the same way, or you can buy dust for 50 silver each and summon them without corpse

Nope, the Summoned Ghouls are ALL momentary helpers. Theres talents to elongate their summoned Duration in assisting the Deathknight but there is no talent to make them last forever as a "pet" NPC. Look at the talent calculaters Blizzard has up and take a look for yourself.

You still have to summon them using a corpse, and it's not like you gain a "Call Pet" ability.

with "is considered a pet" means that you get a pet skill bar, and can set the ghoul to Passive, Defensive or Aggressive, but if it dies before the cooldown on Raise Dead, you're out of pets

And you can only have 1 Ghoul at once.

You do realise you are trying to compare a WotLK class with a base class that hasnt recieved any of WotLK improvments, its like me comparing a current Shaman to a Paladin on WoW days after the core game release, it can't be done fairly. Blizzard take balance really seriously and because of it death knights are getting really badly nerfed. Compare Death Knight to another class after WotLK has been released and you will see that DK won't be as OP as you say it is.

Explination, the first Dk's were orcs resuected in slain human knight's bodies, so you could rp as one of the original dk's following Nerzhul aka Lich King whn Dreanor became outland.

It depends. By default it follows you and attacks whatever you attack (or attacks you), but if you are spec'ed Unholy and put point in the right talents, you can actually control it as a pet. And it lasts much longer.

well i do have to say something on the entire taking it from diablo.  Googley is entirely correct but even more so, blizzard wasnt the first person to think of this. You see bringing something to life from a dead body is common place in necromancy, being that its is pretty much the base of necromancy.

You have 2 runes of each type: Blood, Frost, Unholy. You can't change that setup, contrary to the initial information that came out about the class. The speed at which they refill depends on the talents that you choose, since some replenish them upon killing opponents. I would say a few seconds.
