Best ImgBurn Settings For Burning XGD3 Games With iHas Drive

you are right but the reason i started all my questions is that with truncate the games that i burn are playing but only by spinning not installed if i install them the drive sounds like its strugling somehow and then after a few minutes a message pop up saying it cant read it.

@sotryz xgd3 games only use 8.13 gigs.. so as long as its showing that much your games will burn fine..

i have ihas124b with lt-max and it reads that my DVD have free space 8.53..something.But yours have 8.738...and does not truncate but mine does. WHY IS THAT? PLEASE RESPONDE thank you

@ampperson every disc you burn with memorex will be shit and fail kprobe and most liley be unsafe online. i told you you have to have 001 or 003 discs

I used all the settings in this video, I burned GOW3, I checked it with kprobe and the results were off the walls terrible, It might be since I cross-flashed a iHas 224b to a 624b. Not sure, Can you please help me here?

@ampperson shouldent cross flash theres really no real reason.. and its meant to only be done with the 500 model.. flash to what it should be make sure your using 001 or 003 discs and you dont have to check the discs anymore with kprobe

@iTzYashaBaby So i'm not supposed to use kprobe anymore? On ixtreme forums they say you must use kprobe to see if it works correctly, otherwise there is no point of getting an iHas drive if your not going to check if it burned 100%.

Also, i had to cross-flash since my 224b came with the latest firmware on it already, and ixtreme burner max firmware is GL0A and when i hit it it said i don't have the drive, but mine is Gl0B. so i had to crossflash it to 624b in order to put burner max firmware.

@ampperson after you crossflash you can flash back to a previous firmware for the drive then the burner max. i dont use kprobe if you flash right and use the right discs theres no margin for error accept the occasinal bad burn.. either way you dont have to use it. no saying you shouldent or cant. you just dont have to.

I now have LT+ 3.0. I want to try it with GOW3. I already know I have to change the layer break in Imgburn to successfully burn XGD3 games.

I also have the new abgx

But, do I have to patch the ISO? Does the abgx360 do the job?

To burn, "older" isos, like Portal 2 or Crysis 2, etc, how do I burn them? The same method with XGD3, or like I used to do before?

@pmsr80 you dont set the layerbreak. you have it to calculate optimal and abgx will do it all for you. and its the same for xgd2

The Layer Break, I had read that you need to enter User Specified as 2133520 - is this needed, because you did not mention anything of that, so I was not sure??

hey man .. I had the same settings as you but the buffer size was 40 ... I tried burning forza 4's disc 1 but half way through i got the following error :

I love your videos. They are so helpful, but i have a question, I am using an ihas 124b flashed with your tutorial for memorex discs, how come when im burning a game(forza4) my write rate is 3.8~4.0x, shouldnt it be 2.4x? Thanks.
