My own correction to my previous comment on youtube, Carol Williams was here in Las Vegas at the Hilton Hotel and Casino on August 15, 2009, not July of 2009. Must be the Vegas heat that got to me....anyway, she is a great vocalist !!!!
Carol Williams recorded with The Salsoul Orchestra in the seventies as basically a disco artist. Her biggest hits from that time were MORE, LOVE IS YOU and THIS TIME MAY BE THE LAST TIME (the latter also being recorded by DeDe Warwick). Carol Williams recently appeared at a disco reunion concert in Las Vegas at the Hilton Hotel and Casino in July of 2009.
not 1989, but 1986.
However, it rather feels like beginning of 1980s, telling from the sound :)
