cl_drawhud 0 is your friend (type it into console). Gets hid of the silly little 100HP at bottom left well recording.

1. Hit Esc on your keyboard

2. click Options

3.Click onto the keyboard tab (it SHOULD be by default in this tab to start with)

4. Click "Advanced..."

5. Tick the box that says "Enable developer console (~)" and click Ok

6. Hit apply and then esc again to get out of the menu

7. press the ` button on the top left of your keyboard (should be below Esc)
