  • jes, pretty cool for back then..

  • @MrRoland700sx Back then? Why isnt this cool now? Cheesy stuff should be embraced!!

  • He is RJ BERGER!!!

  • patitucci looks like the ruthless heartbreaker from a mexican soap opera

    OUTSTANDING!!!

  • I am getting massive kicks from seeing my favourite jazz musicians act in a music video xD

  • I have no comment.

  • Chick is the world's ugliest man, but the world's best musician.

    He knows.

  • I could do with some Tribal Tech.

  • Awesome song

  • Dave weckl is so good that he makes fence sound like a real drumset.

  • It's Scott Henderson on gtr on the video but I think the credits on the vinyl mention Carlos Rios on this track

  • @satomisuperblack

U R right. Its Carlos Rios playing guitar, but Scott is only in the video.

  • I believe this videoclip was filmed in Paris. At a place called "Beaubourg" in the center of Paris. The guys behind are doing a dance called "Jazz Rock".

  • @FonkyB A very similar style of jazz dance called "be-bop" was popular in the UK in the 80's. Brothers in Jazz were probably the most well-known group (on youtube). NYC also had lots of jazz dancers in the 80's/90's who were fusing jazz with various genres and dancing in the house music clubs. Brian "Footwork" Green has survived that era and is probably the Chick Corea of street dance. Sad how jazz has become a spectator genre while critics deride albums for being too danceable.

  • @FonkyB in fact its at the pompidou and stravinsky garden near by

  • Chick makes the keytar look coooool

  • 0:53 Chick Corea iis fucking with black guy

  • Comment removed

  • Hey seb2112, if this is what Scientology does to your "brain", sign me up. You're obviously just a hater.

  • 3:02 there is a guy behind Chick Corea :D haha

  • My Arduino experiments will be powered by Chick Corea's elektric band!

  • VEVO without shit-advertisement, cannot believe it. Chick and band are great!

  • . . .Hey, It's Screech on guitar!

This is what they do on their break time. hahaha

Chick Corea + Scott Henderson = best fusion group ever.

  • @ChromaticMan88 OMG I was no sooner scrolling down to make the same comment you did when I read your comment!!!!

  • This is the Holy Grail of craziness.

  • This is the spin-off to bob james 'angelas theme', these poor souls have been made to dance and play there instruments in ridiculous places as they couldn't get aTaxi home!

  • 1:21 Pure ridiculousness.

  • doesnt get radder than that

  • serial killer music

  • Disturbing.

  • @grafleinsdorf I agree. The corporate powers that be(at the time)dictated that they must try to appeal to the hip urban street dance culture of the time.Didn't work now did it guys? Now go back to making hard angular fusion.

  • It's neither of those guys! That's Scott Henderson on guitar.

  • very good! I would like to see the dancers playing the song and elektric band dancing HA!!

  • when you listen to this awesome song, you can actually feel your thetan levels going up.

  • I like the panflutes they add a real "world" sound to the mix, like all sorts of different cultures. a big stylized painted handprint with little spirals for the fingertips

  • haha... what is on weckl's mind today... after watch this video... haha...

  • This video is all about Weckl's feathered mullet.

  • Black people in suits ALWAYS dance like that.

  • it's actually Scott Henderson on guitar.

  • @MrFootball102........... LOL. i almost did

  • i know this song on bass!! woot woot! :b

  • imo chick is something diffrent to this

  • did this in jazz orchestra, such a sick song

  • This song is extremely badass. Especially because of the dancers and the classic look!

  • ulamazesi temaa, amis mosmena ar mckindeba da magar xasiatze makenebs. :):D:)

  • Some of you rap, pop, hip etal lovers do'nt know really good music.

  • Is it just me, or does Frank Gambale look like Screech from Saved by the Bell in this vid? Hehehe!

  • What on earth were they thinking? what is this?

  • @SantiagoGT15 Musak is what it is; crap.

  • Chick is the best!!!!

  • haha this is funny on so many levels. A load of geeky white guys trying to hang with 3 insanely cool black dancers. And Dave Weckl, what a ledgend!

  • My man Screech!!!

  • I didn't know Jeff Goldblum played the keyboard..

  • @pakadots AND check out Tom Cruise on the bass!!

  • WOOO!!

  • shot in Paris, centre Pompidou - beautiful view on Paris

scott has his jack plugged LOL

  • Super funky!

  • This band was just perfect with Henderson.

  • 00:33

the keyboard player's hoping that his playing skill will make the dancer move out of his way

  • I miss the 80s.

  • Now we finally know what Chick sees when he closes his eyes.

  • LOL....

The guitarist is Scott Henderson.... tough he actually looks like Screech!

  • im learning this whole dance

  • OMG!!! THE GUITARIST IS SCREECH FROM "SAVED BY THE BELL" !!!!

  • bella coreografia,,,,me gustaria bailar de ese modo ,,,

  • hahahahahahaha!!! This is ridiculous but I love it! Kind of like that saying, "it's so ugly, it's cute"

  • @MrFootball102

I think it is Screech from Saved By the Bell.

  • Check out this jazz fusion piano solo about three minutes in:

    watch?v=H7Z-h-TSqzw&feature=related

  • nice song, but terrible dancing

  • I enjoy this song a lot, probably because I like this cheesy type of Fusion with electric instruments, but oh my god, this video cannot be taken seriously. I spent the entire time laughing. Literally every 15 seconds there was something new making me shake my head.

  • @MrFootball102 The awesome Scott Henderson!!

  • John is so unbelievably suave.

  • I hope I'll see Patitucci and Weckl next time I go near a fountain!

  • the 80s .. <3

  • What did I just watch?

  • @McYaballow You don't want to know.

  • Does Chick Corea use Synclavier on this video??

  • Ha awesome, terrible, but awesome.

  • Nerds just like me

  • Ok, this was of course all about the music back then. But if you were clubbing in the early eighties and it was Jazz dance that you were into, then these guys IDJ ( aka I Dance Jazz ) were wiping the floor up & down the country with there eclectic dance moves, one such move ''the jerk'' bares no reference to anyone in the video. It was a time of change, just by looking at the clothing and hairstyles, believe it or not, they did turn more than a head when on the floor with their funky-jazzy moves

  • Chick's "sounds good" face during scott henderson's solo was as classic as the fountain scene.

  • how do they make those turn-arounds? I'm jealous.

  • Haha, look how young they are !

  • I saw Chick Corea and Gary Burton at a community college in '99-- really unusual yet awesome playing by the two. Chick opened up the piano he was using and played a few songs by pizzicato which is the only instance I've ever seen this performed. It definitely made a lasting impression.

  • I can still remember listening to this tape with my dad when I was 6. I love it just as much now. Perfect marriage of fusion and everything the 80s were about.

  • I wish I was 21 at that time, i love that era

  • Why do I feel Eminem is staring at me?

  • @gvpgroup Cause he is in your head dodo....

  • This makes me want to live.

  • I want to go back to 1985 and discuss Mac SEs and the visual concept behind this video with Chick over mushroom caps and New York Seltzers.

  • Weckl will never live this down!

  • I would sleep with scott henderson, chicken corea and that 80s keyboard.

  • who the hell is vevo?

  • holy shit, is that Screech on guitar??

  • I didnt know Dustin Diamond plays guitar

  • @uspsionic : you took the words right out of my mouth!

  • @bigtoine45 haha if he didnt get Lisa turtle then, he sure got her now!

  • this is what scientology does to your brain

  • @seb2112 rest focused on the music. this aspect of Corea life doesn't matter for our ears and eyes

  • @seb2112 ha ha. no this is just Chick's brilliance and good old musicians having a great time. It's cool, and Scientology has nothing to do with it.

  • This is cool no matter what! =)

  • Reminder: This was NOT cool in the 80's. Jazz-fusion is NEVER cool. I only admitted to owning a Chick Corea Elektric Band album to my musician friends, and then only because Dave Weckl .

  • every other decade is so respectible...what happened to the eightiess?? lol

  • this song would empty the dance floor quicker than someone screaming

    "he's got a bomb"

  • me voy a armar una banda igualita, solo me faltas los grones que bailen che, a ver quien se apunta

  • wow! check out scotty! he looks 15 haha, he kills...

  • What's great though is how much of a sense of joy and fun these guys seem to have. This vid definitely is 80s in spirit as well as style. Reminds of Ghostbusters. While I don't miss the fashions, I miss the innocence and joie de vivre that seemed to exist in the 80s. We've all gotten too jaundiced for our own good.

  • @gsviews 80's fashion is the best man!

  • It's hard to pay attention when you're laughing louder than the music. lol Love chick but.... :-|

  • Wow...the 80's!

Your boy Screech on the guitar!

  • What do you call what Chick Corea's playing?

  • @jnmdjc957 Keytar

  • @willisthabastard Sorry, it's a remote MIDI keyboard to me. I refuse to use the term "keytar". Keytar is a name for a propriatery controller that has two octave kyboard and strings as well. Yamaha KX5, Casio AZ-1, these are remote MIDI keyboards, not keytars.

  • Wow what will the future be like. Imagine the transparent tunnels of 1985 or even the shirtless jackets of 1987! By 1990 there will surely be a flying car and a Mac computer with separate monitor/tower! And by then Chick can afford an aftermarket strap for his keytar.

  • this is horrible, dont they realise they look like a bunch of cunts!

  • Red T-shirt, red shoes, green Yamaha logo, Ferrari Testarossa, Versace, etc. I love the '80s.

  • @dvamateur I was thinking the same things, especially the Testarossa part!

  • @vithaj92 Thanks man for thinking alike. I am glad there someone out there who shares the passion for tastefully designed things.

  • The whole concept of this music video is a black dude showing off his dance moves.

  • What the fuck am i watched?

  • 1:32 is where the jerk originated from

  • @TheWho852 jerk? who's the jerk and where did he originate?

  • @bottman5 No as in the dance "The Jerk"

  • @TheWho852 lol! oh ok i know shitall when it comes to dancing...

  • or where i can get the song?

  • anyone know where i can get sheet music or tabs for this?

  • Hahaha look at Weckl!

    This is so goofy...

  • I wish I was born in the 70's so I could've lived my teenage years in the 80's

  • That's not Scott Henderson on guitar... look again... it's 'Screech' from Saved by the Bell!!! ...lol

  • check out 12 year old latin jazz classical pianist christophermcginnis

his video is below he is all over youtube his address is chrisnycvillage

  • @chrisnycvillage

not a big star yet bro, but keep it up!

  • Saw Chick- April 27, 1982, Des Moines Civic Center, Des Moines, Iowa

    One GIANT Jazzin Jam Session.....cool

  • i wish people could dance like this nowadays.

all we got now is 'DA SOULJABOYEEE' and 'gettin' crunk'

brilliant song, i love the keyboard/guitar battle at the end

  • that guitar player looks like Screech from saved by the bell

  • LOL. LOL.

    Fuck. What the fuck.

  • Technically, John Tesh is much more accomplished, but this guy has some serious potential.

  • who is the guitarrist and the bassist?

  • @piccinini02 , bass: john patitucci. guitar: scott henderson

  • @piccinini02 the bass player is Johnn Pattitucci

  • I saw concert footage from Spain which featured the same dancers & the same band stage outfits, so I conclude that at least some part, if not all, of this video was shot on location in Spain. Scott Henderson wasn't with the band very long. I think he was briefly replaced by Jamie Glazier before Frank Gambale hired on. My musical heroes.

  • @bogeybast It have been completely shot in Paris in France at Pompidou center in "le châtelet district" i know this place by heart i often go there i study at IRCAM (research on contemporary music and new scale system)

  • masters

  • Dave Weckl mullet, lol
