a lot of times the halal is not correctly done. the animals in most cases have just the throat cut and suffocate. this is wrong. the two main arteries on the side of neck must be cut aswell as throat for the blood to drain out. the knife should go round the sides aswell for the brain to die quickly and the blood to fully run out. here the blood has stopped running fully.

Whether or not this is a true Halal, I am not going to say, because, personally, I don't know the rules.

BUT, this is not Shechita! Shechita is what we jews do and we have certain laws we must abide. I don't know the Islamic rules, but we are not allowed to add pressure when cutting nor are we allowed to hit with the knife like shown in the movie.

The part being cut must be visible at all times and the knife must be checked before AND after the slaughter.

There are other rules but I'll end here.

No pain? First off, pain unlike every other senses isn't felt in one part of the brain, it's felt by the entire brain so cutting the throat isn't isolating the pain. The severe drop in blood pressure cause immense and painful headache (like someone branding you with hot iron). I agree on that one as well, When putting that tool in the animal's head, you cannot consider that halal, because the animal is put into a state of shock or in other words when you halal slaughter an animal you are supposed to just have a sharp knife with you and nothing else. That's why you have to tie it down. Most people just prefer to do it this way because they want to save themselves the hassle.
