@xBlueBlastxX I thought it was alright. Initially I was skeptical, but that game is so goofy that I thought it fit in well. Though I did like the game, I didn't feel that it captured the original magic I felt with the NES - or even the XBLA - version of Bionic Commando.
Wow to go and say that the game doesn't even deserve to exist? I personally think that the game is a great representation of bionic commando as a 3D platforming sequel. Dreads and story aside, I didn't think that anything else about it was THAT awful, I had a lot of fun with it even with the lacking story. Everybody jump on the hater train WOO WOOOO!
@Slapmaster5000 Don't get me wrong. The game was fun to play. It's the story that I didn't care for. Considering how big a fan I am of the original on the NES makes my opinion somewhat biased. I don't like what they did with Rad in this game; from his look to his character arc.
@blee427 Yeah I get what you mean, but I think generally gamers give an exaggerated opinion on the negative points of the game, It's not as bad as everyone says, and yes I suppose the original spoils it a bit (unless you have rearmed, or at least for me that made up for a lot of it). His character was totally understandable, he was angry, the whole time. If you've played Rearmed 2 you'd understand why, although it is a little late for a lot of people to take that story in mind.
@Slapmaster5000 This video was made prior to the release of Rearmed 2. I can understand his anger, but I just didn't care for it. It seems they were taking a risk with the established character and it was relatively hit or miss.
The reason they gave him dreads is to show the momentum of the swinging with a visual cue, hence the long dreads. Plus you're complaining for no reason, you can give him his classic look back if you have Rearmed and unlocked the classic rad spencer costume. So really you're bitching for nothing, like your videos though, but this one annoyed me.
@decayedmatter Yeah, I understand that and I do have Rearmed and I did switch to classic Rad. But that's beside the point. They shouldn't have tinkered with his look. The direction they went in was wrong, IMO. Not every video can be beloved and I figured that this would be the more controversial ones. Sorry you didn't enjoy it.
I was really disappointed with the "sequel/revamp", not only because of the angsty storyline but because they really limit your freedom of movement throughout such a large open space that it becomes frustrating.
The best part though is the orchestrated version of the theme song, man that was kickass.
By the way, What do you think of Radd's "Mustach'd" design in Rearmed 2?

I can't believe they're gonna use the dreadlocks version for MvC3...What a shame

@IsOled I hope that capcom make a dlc of extra costumes to have the original nathan spencer design.
saizerboy 1 year ago
@saizerboy They do. It's in the game, but they shouldn't have tinkered too much with his image IMO.
blee427 10 months ago
@IsOled It is. But it's seems more of a shame that he doesn't seem to be that great a character to use in MvC3.
blee427 11 months ago
@blee427 He's really good in marvel vs capcom 3.
syxx573 10 months ago
@syxx573 I think he could have been stronger, but you're right; he is good. Too bad the overall MvC3 game can't be described the same way.

Bionic Cammando wasn't a bad game, but the ending did piss me off. Also, F#(#* the jumping in the new one. "Fan Boy Rage"
