The sheer inability that the callers display is nothing short of amazing. When callers clearly have an absolute lack of conversational skills and the absence of reasoning and STILL wish to call in and attempt to debate this issue is a scary thing in itself.

Callers like that guy really give those who believe in God a bad name. What a dumbass. We have to remember that science is still only man's interpretation of his surroundings. Just because we've discovered truths about our reality , that doesn't disqualify the possibility of a higher being establishing the laws of physics that we observe.

Just because we've discovered truths about our reality , that doesn't disqualify the possibility of a higher being establishing the laws of physics that we observe.

Someone actually said that the parts about slavery and conduct of war were "laws made specifically for ancient Israelites". So God decided to give special laws to that one group of people.

I think it's more based on how willing you are to believe in it though; there's obviously only two conclusions you can get from it, and since no one was there when it happened, we'll never truly know. Also, it depends on how you see God and whether or not He needed a creator as well.

@blipperful that question is flawed since it assumes that the following is true: god is real AND plays a role in sustaining life. the very basis of atheism is that this claim has not been adequately demonstrated and therefore is not to be assumed. scientific study does not rely on god as a force but instead seeks to identify, quantify, and confrim the forces that do control the mechanisms that allow for life. calling these forces "god" does nothing to help you understand them.

I'm sorry, but the hosts completely ignored the callers question. They danced around it, but they didn't answer it.
First, they made the case that the earth was formed by dust, but what formed the dust? The universe, but what formed the universe? What formed physics? The big bang? Then what caused the big band? I'm not going to believe that nothing exploded and formed the universe. Something else had to.
