  • That sentence that began and ended with drawing a fine line didn't make any sense at all.

  • Joe is a big shit, isn't he?

  • That guy cant ever let Derren or anyone finish talking, its so annoying.

  • Did anyone notice that Joe uses the bathroom (Toilet/Loo) before he begins his reading (He did this with two of the people he "read")? I got to thinking that maybe when he uses the bathroom, he looks for clues about the person on the way to the bathroom and/or in the bathroom. For example, family pictures on the hallway wall or in the bathroom, the contents of their medicine cabinet, etc. Lots of general information could be obtained in this way, with cold reading doing the rest...

  • @JustWasted3HoursHere I'm pretty sure that that's exactly what he's doing. If he were coming to my home for a reading, I'd first put away or cover up all obvious indicators like family pictures and whatnot. Secondly, I'd conviently forget to flush the last time I used the bathroom, leaving a little of my "essence" for Joe. Whether he's genuine or not, he should be able to read something into that.

  • Kevin Spacey anyone?

  • @Jordog05 that's what I thought. They should make a film about conman and Kevin Spacey can play a role of a psychic

  • Darren gains respect by being honest instead of throwing his mistakes on others to further think about after the psychic leaves. Again misdirection. The psychic is obviously on the way to the bank to cash the check and to the mall to buy more stuff for that fancy home. lol One of my favorites for sure. I wish Darren would come on american tv. until then i will follow his every move online. thanks for the video mate!

  • I I knew right when i saw this one, what was going to happen. Darren really tries to help people in my opinion and i believe he is truly upset about so called "psychics." Darren is clear that he uses misdirection, hypnotism, with the power of suggestion and showmanship to do his shows. Maybe a psychic should start out with the readings with the same disclaimer. Doesn't make anything less interesting.

  • The psychic would have been better off NOT entering the house and used some disclaimer that Darren's interaction with the woman has made the reading impossible. He should have known right there that he was going to be exposed. Clearly i don't need to be Darren to read this man's body language. Clearly using cold reading with research about these people. I think people that get readings have a lot of similarities that allow making "general" statements very easily. FRAUD EXPOSED! thanks D.

  • You know what i have learned about people who lie. Those who lie, confuse the truth of events, with the untruth. (or create there own reality) Like when the psychic believed Darren said he had not previously met the woman, when he clearly told the gentleman that he had been there that morning. Same as the woman confirmed. However, the psychic then goes off on Darren. This could also be described as misdirection, from the actual focus. That he was not actually contacting the dead.

  • You can see Joe's little wooden nose extending as he continues the "reading."

  • This guy is such an asshole just a bully taking advantage of people that deserve better, he is so obviously a fake conveiniently having to go to the bathroom when he arrives to scope out the house, and its obvious he makes assumptions about the person from there age, gender probably the area they live in etc he most likley has the readings pre-booked so he can then research the individuals I just hate how he bulldoses people and blames everyone but himself! GRR

  • Derren is a smart man. Why didn't he bring up the bathroom thing? This Joe guy is one piss poor psychic, he can only go so far with cold-reading so he needs a look around the bathroom and maybe a quick peak upstairs while everyone is waiting for him downstairs. Also, the preoccupation with numbers is fishy...like he counts toothbrushes, beds or people in family photos. BTW, there's no doubt in my mind that his sister had told him details about her neighbor.

  • In my experience (which is...0 years/months/days) it's pretty obvious that Joe was faking. When Derren asked, finally, if he was a fake, Joe pulled his hand away, putting himself in a defensive position, he repeated Derren's question exactly "I am genuinely channeling dead people" (Remember "I did not have sex with that woman"? with Monica Lewinsky?) He stopped using contractions, saying DID NOT instead of DIDN'T and then he was clearly trying not to break eye contact, fearing suspicion.

  • @Wafflepopword Someone watches "Lie to Me" haha :P I agree with you 100%

  • @hopelessturtle Hey, watching that show has gotten me through more than one game of poker. lol

  • Of He's the Douche ,the biggest Douche in the Universe.

  • Why do people say he is fake? what is the alternative? a real psychic?

  • I feel bad for the guy. Not only is he fake, but he sucks at faking

  • Did this air on tv?

  • wow... just wow. You can't even make an excuse for the guy and think "Maybe he doesn't realize he is cold reading and just interprets it as it being genuine." But you can't, the guy is obviously cold reading, lying to himself, and exploiting the dead.

And when he gets it wrong he throws a temper tantrum like a little kid and blames everyone but himself. What a dick

  • 3 people were corrupted by darren brown's video

  • Joe is an idiot, but you'd have to be an idiot to give him money, too. Smarten up, people.

  • At 7:32, Joe Power is lying. When someone refuses to break eye-contact, avoids the use of contractions (using "I am not" instead of "I'm not") and parrots back the answers ("Are you a fake?" "No, I am not a fake." "Are you really speaking to dead people", "Yes, I am really speaking to dead people") that often (but not always) means the person is lying. I suspect that was precisely what Derren was looking for when he asked those questions. Busted!

  • @TonyRush I agree, I'm no expert in lie detecting but in Derren's book he says the "One sure way to tell a lie is if they break their pattern." And I don't know about you guys, but he sure acted very differently when Derren directly said "are you a fraud"

And he didn't act THAT differently, only his entire body language, voice tonality, eye accessing cues (looking down, kinasthetic possibly guilty feeling). Compare that to his 'Anger' when he legitimately felt Derren "screwed up his reading"

  • @TonyRush Yeah, I picked up on that too. Doesn't take a psychic to figure out he's lying though lol

  • Joe=Douchebag

    Derren>World

  • Epic, Derren say that lier the truth

  • i wanna dislike the video just cuz i cant stand the fake -_-"

  • I find it funny that during the private readings the VERY first thing that the guy wanders off to go use the lew/bathroom. Do you realize just how much you can learn about a person by looking at the things in their bathroom?

  • Damn, I really don't like Joe.

  • Derren Brown's job = Full time hipster

  • How dare you call me out on my bs!!lol That was good.

  • I guess there's more coincidence than his sister living next to the sitter, too.

  • Derren is such a gentleman. Joe is so rough and vulgar and defensive. Nastiest medium I've ever heard/seen/etc. Joe also does the classic defensive bs which is to attack the person who is questioning him and his techniques.

  • You see how he always asked if he could go to the loo first? Whats in a hallway of any normal person's house? Family Photos.

  • That dudes a fake.

  • There a few things I liked:

    1) I like the way he lies about Derren supposedly lying :P

    2) I like how he actually reveals himself by saying that Derrens presence made her more sceptical. If that would be true, this would only mean that she would be ahrder to cold read, not that spirits would have a hardder time passing true.

  • 3) I also like how he contradicts himself be saying you shouldn't compare a good reading and a bad reading, while in the beginning of the episode he said there is no such thing as a good reading

    4) And I liked how he repeated the sentences Derren asked him (Derren: Are you real? the other guy: I am real) with pretty much the same words Derren used, which is a sign of lying...

  • That guy is such a fucking asshole.

  • hes a human fukin lie detector

  • this guy is so lame... i cant belive how somebody can belive this shit... and i dont know why mostly women fall for bs like this...

  • i hope this joe never works again.

  • If you look at that scar on this nose it looks like a mob style cut.. when they stick a knife up your nostril and pull the blade out the side. wonder how he got that..

the women who said her mom had or was a part of 5 siblings then changed to 6 it would have still made sense depending whether she counted herself in the group or not.

overall this wasn't a very convincing debunking, although the guys for sure a fake

  • @SurvivalGrounds Nope, she was talking about her mother.

@antonloo think about it, if he would have gotten away with it, it would mean a HUGE publicity for his career

  • What a fake. If he contacts the dead, why wouldnt he pick up on her sister who recently passed. The only way to contact the dead is if you're dead yourself ahhaha

  • joe has really creepy dead eyes.

  • what? How could he be surprised that she lived next door to his sister? Surely he knows where his sister lives and would respond with surprise EARLIER when they came to a house right next to hers.

  • I wonder why Joe power accepted to shoot with derren, when hes obviously faking. To me Joe seems to be homosexual and has a crush on Derren. Thats why he wanted to meet him.

  • I wonder why Joe power accepted to shoot with derren, when hes obviously faking. To me Joe seems to be homosexual and has a crush on Derren. Thats why he wanted to meet him.

  • @antonloo Hey, I've got a crush on Derren and I'm a het. female. Seriously though, I know he's a true sceptic, as opposed to those that define themselves as such but are actually completely closed minded. He comes across as open to the possibilities but until the extraordinary evidence regarding the extraordinary claims are presented, he continues to be sceptical. I respect that. Joe will be okay regardless of the unmasking. He's playing to those that want to believe. Joe wins & the crowd wins.

  • @Oilisdeathtomany A crush on derren?...you know hes g+y right??...i got surprised when i found out...but still admire his work...hes talented and have shown to many people how stuff which looks paranormal at first can be simple tricks you do at home....my props to him.

  • @xcarmox Yeah, of course I know. That's why I mentioned I was female because I have zero chance. Heh.., like I had one anyway. I'm amused how you say, "...but still admire his work..." You do know one's sexuality has no bearing on their talents and abilities? And yeah, props to him alright. I so respect his williingness to expose charlatans. Seems to me this dude underestimated Derren Brown. Good stuff.

  • awww...Darren looks upset at the end.

  • @ZandiDolly Upset? In a disappointed sort of way, you're right. I get the impression he wishes it wasn't so but there it is, the same old showmanship exploiting those who are desperately in need of confirmation that those they've lost are actually sitting in the afterlife equivalent of the show they're visiting, waiting for a medium to say, "ooh, your broken hearted daughter needs to know you're okay. I think her name is Jan". It'd be laughable if it wasn't so sad.

  • Joe is a fake, thats he gets angry. So obvious!

  • Joe's body language betrayed him. Right after Derren called him fake he put back his right hand on his left. This is a subconscious defensive position to cover your body from direct contact and it makes you feel safer.

  • Notice that before Derren even mentions the mini, simply Clare, Joe dives in saying about the mini, clearly already trying to cover his trail

And screw microexpressions, you don't need to be as skilled as Derren Brown to know people like Joe are dreadful conmen

  • I find it conspicuous that he asks to use the bathroom. people keep their medication in there (he could make predictions about illness). it gives him time to walk through the house gather information about how many are in the family from pictures. He can also learn alot about income, career choice, hobbies, and tons more.

  • OMG so busted at the end. Derren pwns. (then again, it's his own show, so he's just showing us the "hits," right? jk)

  • I'm a scientist, and if someone accused me of fraud, I would give them detailed instructions about how to replicate my experiments with strict controls in place. Psychics never do that... They just seem to get mad!

  • Can anyone find out/or does anyone know what kind of music that is, starting at 7:57....??? thx

  • and also did you notice how high his voice became when he said he never met her? 6:26 "I dunno ive never seen her"....hes lying:)

  • this makes me cringe...

  • "bad showmanship"?!!!!.....what a FUCKING RETARD.....derren is known the world over...iam not sure if anyone outside his fucking luny group even knows he is....dumb piece of shit.....

  • Thanks derren for showing how much crap this is. He turned my mind. But I still belive in ufos though...

  • Here is a question for all of the gullable people who think mediums are real

Why dont a medium speak to Maddeline Mccann's grandparents and ask them where she is??

  • what alooad off crap , real mediums can read of photos or books or even a wedding ring or even over a television , there are real mediums but hes not one , a real fake

  • @giantbully1

And there's also a real leprechaun in my backyard. But if you ask me to prove it scientifically i cant because it will emit negative energy which will make the leprechaun escape on his rainbow.

  • What I love about Derren Brown is that he is interested in investigating this guy. What I find interesting about many of Derrens followers, is that they are convinced that anything psychic does not exist. Derren on the one hand is unsure, but many of his fans on the other hand are very sure that they know what exists and what does not ^^ Curious difference^^

  • lesson learned: dnt evr try2BS Derren Brown, he'll shut u down!

  • fukng brilliant! what yr was this done?

  • Comment removed

  • Man how bad did you want Derren to put the fraud into a hypnotic trance at the end when they were making eye contact? That would have been hilarious.

  • I love Derren because he is like another version of Penn and Teller, though being an Englishman he is much more polite. P&T's work on bullshit is wonderful, but they both admit they are just magicians with a honed skeptics eye. Derren is very similar, but his understanding of psychology and human behavior really puts him up and above his counter parts.

  • Derren, you don’t know—But you’re God!!!!! Alongside with Peter Pan, Cher, Kathy Griffin...

  • anyone notice that before both private readings Joe 'went to the loo' before commencing. could this have given him time to have a look around or call his researcher? i think so. in any case, he's clearly a fraud.

  • Joe was surprised Wanda lived next door to his sister? He must not visit his own sister very often. ;) Ok, I am convinced. This guy is a fraud.

  • One question Derren left unasked: if this guy got all his info from dead relatives, how did he knew about the mini she had at the time? Did a very recently deceased pet cat told him? xD

  • Even if John Lennon was able to be contacted he would drop Joe for Derren any day.

  • He's extremely defensive. Why doesn't he answer the questions if he's genuine? He's completely overwhelmed and Derren's completely calm.

  • JOE FRAUDER!!!

  • Lol I think he didnt know that Derren can read microexpressions and the final part of their conversation was just Derren trying to see if Joe was lying..

  • @bearshawn You should've read my microexpressions when I read your comment. Derren explicitly presents himself as a con artist using misdirection. The thing, it's not primarily misdirection against the people involved in his shows, but it's against YOU the viewer.

If microexpressions can be read, countless psychologists, advertisement guys and pokerplays would be all over it. And it wouldn't be just an ENTERTAINER using this incredible technique.

  • @bearshawn he was pretty good to keep those microexpressions to a minimum. I think the only thing I could here was a slur in his speech when he said it. Sounded slightly forced. But he was angry. who knows. he's a bullshitter either way.

  • @bearshawn The best part of that final conversation is when Joe's voice gets all high pitched 6:25 that is usualy an indication that somebody is lieing not to mention how defensive he got. This guy is a total prick

  • caaam daaan, caaaaam daaan

  • The blink at 7:31 is a dead giveaway. I think he's still wondering what that feeling was inside his stupid head when I tried to take on Derren. Did he never see his shows. LOL

  • With Christopher Hitchens sick and James Randi getting on, Derren is one of the next generation of warriors against frauds.

    Thanks Derren.

  • Oh Derren, you are just brilliant! :)

  • fucking fraud

  • That cunt needs a round house too the temple

  • look at joe when he says "i'm a 100% real" he recoils to look like he's protecting himself from derren...

  • A dishonest scouse! STOP THE PRESSES!

  • He's too busy throwing a fit to realize that he's messing with dangerously strong emotional ties between people and their memories of the people closest to them. That is such a terrible thing.

  • Fucking lowlife. Go back to scrubbing toilets you moron.

  • pull up ur pants man !!

  • wish i can see Derren investigates about voodoo.. xP

  • Firstly a person who, has powers and is honest, would never take money for it. Secondly he would never ever go in front of audiencies, because he would know how intimate these things are.

  • America needs shows like this. Mythbusters is cool and all, but unless mediums, exorcists, ghost hunters and faith healers start exploding, I doubt they're going to cover paranormal hucksters.

  • I believe there's way more going on in this world then we can see, but one thing I noticed was that the guy seems to go use the bathroom before each reading, wonder if he's looking for clues in their house. I think he's pretty good though.

  • aww that poor lady just got put in the middle of that....

  • His obsession with holding eye contact with Derren while defending himself is a sign of lying.

  • So since I deal with Remote Viewing and that too can have some strange rules (if you're not familiar with how it works). That being said, Derren doesn't know Joe's rules, and should not be expected to. It's Joe's business to tell Derren dude here are the rules - dont talk to people, dont go in the house before me.

Also, working with RV I know how Joe feels, especially from people trying to judge his whole thing by one single reading.

  • @firuinthehouse you're and idiot :D

  • @miauw34 You my friend misspelled a 2 letter word, I think you still have a few things to learn before calling people idiots.

I see you're an atheist, and usually that's a group of rational people, who research their claims. What research have you ever made into Remote Viewing, other than a conversation in your head?

You're not so different from Christians who think they hear Jesus talking back to them as they pray.

Go Google some more before you speak, I've done my research and testing.

  • @firuinthehouse Alright, to be honest i was just trolling before (you're and idiot followed by a random smiley is a popular trolling meme in the 4chan community), but we can have a real conversation about this if you like.

First of all you would have to define what a "hit" was, when discussing what kind of test you would conduct, since any vague result or, indeed, Barnum statements should be avoided.. Secondly you should ofcourse do this in correlation with the scientific method.

  • @firuinthehouse also you will find that when cheating and chance is let out of the picture, eg the scientific method (which tells us how to find out truths about this world, not the spirit world) there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever to back up the claims of RV or indeed any form of ESP. I hate myself for doing this, but try to read the first three lines of the Wikipedia entry.

I seriously doubt that the "experiments" that you have conducted hold any water, and the burden of proof is upon

  • @firuinthehouse you to prove to me that those experiments tell us anything about the natural world. Also, i am not liable to counter your proof by "doing it myself", firstly i am not a scientist, and secondly ill be happy to use the REAL research conducted, and use the gift of logic to conclude anything afterwards. And please do not make and ad hominem (ie compare me to christians when you know i am an atheist), its considered rude.I do grant the fact that you were replying to my first comment

  • @firuinthehouse and just to be upfront about this, i dont believe in a "spirit world" or anything that is outside the natural world, in that sense i am a monist and a materialist, which by effect also makes me an atheist. So if your argumentation at any point involves a second "spirit world", which i am fairly sure it does, but i could be wrong, you will know from now and have a chance to make a case, since you would know my response (ie prove the spirit world, i dont believe in it)

  • @miauw34 Howdy. So let's take them in turn. 4chan is not available in my country, in the sense that I can't participate. I do lurk on occasion but quite rarely. Was unaware of the "you're and idiot" meme, hence the whole misunderstanding.

Now for what I know about RV:

    1. My personal testing shows it works, at least half the time.

    2. People who are better at RV than I am, have shown EXTENSIVELY that it works, in quite impressive ways, in what to my knowledge are correct double-blind conditions

  • @miauw34 3. RV session "hits" are indeed quite subjective, and where the believers see a hit, skeptics usually disagree

    4. ARV (Associative RV) is a method that makes use of the supposed ability of RV to move not only through space, but also through time. If done correctly, the theory says it can be used to predict future events, like for sports bets. For those bets, a clear deviation from pure chance can be measured, based on win/loss of those bets.

  • @firuinthehouse And finally, my personal tests involve exactly this method of RV:

Use RV to get an educated guess as to which team would win an event in the future. If RV is absolute bogus, I should fare no better than random bets, and thus I should lose my money. I started to test this, on a real money account. So far it is doing quite well, way above chance.

As for my explanation, no RV does not include some spirit world. It's just a skill that works, we don't know why exactly.

  • @miauw34 I personally do believe in various other non-material worlds, but this is completely unrelated to RV, and has more to do with my psychedelic explorations.

Even the best practitioners of RV only know how it works (I mean what to do to get good data) but not a working theory that would explain it. We empirically know there's no loss of signal over space or time, we know solar wind interferes with our ability to do it (statistics show this), but that's about all we have.

  • @miauw34 so just to clarify, my method of testing RV is:

    1. Use RV to tell which way a sporting event will end up.

    2. Bet on that, using real money on a betting site

    3. Measure deviation from pure chance

I am doing this for sports I know little about, and teams I've never heard of. I am ignoring odds, and have place bets on the underdog in a match (and won). As far as I can tell, all winning I've done so far can ONLY be explained through RV working.

More in my videos, see my channel :)

  • @firuinthehouse Right, very interesting

So let me tell you what im thinking.

As to your second point, how and under what circumstances have they shown you, and what in your opinion are correct double-blind conditions?

I'll just reply to this point before talking about your own approach - it seems that we can approach this as a physical phenomenon, as we have no reason to think it is spiritual in nature. Apart from science having no evidence for this, and the fact that several hundred years -

  • @miauw34 of research would have to be rewritten, it is still possible, ofcourse, that this may be true, although unlikely.

Now to your own approach - you seem to be in a situation where team 1 or 2 may win, and you have stated earlier that this technique works about 50% of the time, which is the statistical average. The reason you might be winning money instead of losing them is most probably because of luck, winning on teams with high odds randomly. Again you say you ignore odds, but one is -

  • @miauw34 left thinking that you might subconsciously not. Is the amount of money bet always the same? What differentiates your RV approach from random chance (eg what do you do that makes this RV and not a guess).

Many questions i know, but they need to be answered in order for this to become as transparent as possible.

  • @miauw34 Well, I'm happy to see you keep an open mind and a correct dose of skepticism, which is exactly how I approached this thing 3 years ago. First of all, I have 2 videos explaining this (ARV 1 and 2) in case the explanations here in comments will lack all details you need. Now to answer what you asked:

These people have shown me this stuff on a free site, where we all practice, and by its very nature offers nobody the incentive to cheat, as nothing is sold or promoted anywhere on it

  • @miauw34 The conditions were: the site gives you a random code, that stands for a RV target (a photo). One makes a RV session, and uploads it on the site. Once the session is uploaded, it is read-only. Then the photo associated to that random code is revealed. Thus the viewer can see if their RV session was on target, or way off.

I have used this site to practice on, for 3 years, on and off, and I see people who have done several good sessions, daily, for all that time. Possible to fake, but

  • @miauw34 IMO, it is VERY unlikely, that someone would do something THAT complicated, on such a scale, on an obscure free site that nobody knows about, except the most hardcore RV enthusiasts.

My best sessions were submitted exactly as theirs, and were commented on, as we comment here on youtube. The site is dojopsi com/tkr, and you do need a free account to get in and have a look. Takes 2-3 mins to make.

That order (random target code - session - then target being revealed) is to me correct

  • @miauw34 double blind. It is completely automatic, a HUGE database of images, and it all happens instantly, really no way for someone to manually "match" the photo to your session. To me, the site is legit, but do make a free account and try to cheat.

Science does have some evidence for this, studies have been made, and I don't see how research would have to be "rewritten". But nor do I care. I am relying on my own personal testing, not on logic.

  • @miauw34 And logically I agree with you, it should not work, because there is no logical reason for it to work. Unfortunately if you learn it, sit down with pen and paper and do it, the empirical evidence will show that it does work. So that's where I'm coming from. We know where the light switch is and what happens when we flip it, but we have no idea how the cables behind it are wired, and what makes them tick.

  • @miauw34 So you see my friend this is all quite complicated to explain in youtube comments, but I have put considerable time and research into making my first money with RV. If a bet is made on a game, it is backed up on clear written emails between me and my tasker, and it can be shown that there was real data pointing at team A over team B.

All that process should fail 100% of the time, and I should only win as per pure chance (since I know nothing of the games, I would bet randomly)

  • @miauw34 but empirical testing has shown it to work. something like 80 / 20 win rate, or higher. Most losses were in the beginning before we used redundancy (3 sessions per game, and discarding all sessions that don't clearly resemble one of the images) and once we figured out these details, things have started to go smooth.

Only drawback right now is the small smaple size, but that is also increasing with each bet we make, so only a matter of time. Any other questions ? :)

  • @miauw34 Ok, 1 match, 2 possible outcomes. RV works around 50-75% of the time. No clear numbers there, let's say 2 out of 3, and also about 3-4 days in a week, or on some hours of each day. Which sessions, days or hours, this is unknown. It's a lot like poker. We know we'll win a certain % of hands, but have no idea which ones. Still a system can be designed, that if we know that %, then long term we can use RV profitably.

If something works 50% of the time, and you target the same game

  • @miauw34 with 3 RV sessions, then you can start to use redundancy, and get a pretty good confidence score. So if 2 RV sessions on the same game tell me that team A is going to win, then I will move in to bet on team A. Bet size is a % of my total bankroll, and I make small, medium or high bets, depending on how many sessions tell me the same thing, for that game.

  • @miauw34 I ignore the odds because I do not ever see the odds. I work in a 2 man team, and the whole reason for having the other guy, is so that I know nothing about the game, the teams or the odds. Team A and Team B are "encoded" by my tasker (other guy in team) into random images taken of Google. I then RV the pair of images, and my session will resemble only one of the 2 images. If I have a bad session (one of those times RV does not work) then it is discarded, and not considered for a bet.

  • I wish at the end Derren had simply grabbed his hand and commanded - sleep - and tell the truth...

  • RV works about 60-75% of the time, so one single test wouldn't be a good indicator, to prove if it works or not. Fails 1 in 3 times on average.

In Poker you play some hands that have a chance to win only 10% of the time or less, yet are profitable. If you judge that strategy by only one play, you'd lose the money and conclude it doesn't work. If however you play it 1000 times, you'd see the strat works.

So if Derren wanted 1 on 1 readings, he should have had 10 or more IMO, then try to decide.

  • Why does Joe not use his power to know whether derren has been there. Not even his brain works for short term memory.

  • so can people just invent the rules from the spirit world? right off their head?

honestly if youre saying that theres interference or you're getting a few too many negative energies you probably have a mental disorder and should be put in the loonie bin

  • Notice how he doesn't blink, like a dog, to intimidate Darren at the end? Arrogant, obnoxious, ambitious, a complete user. My prediction? He'll get up in the wrong person's face someday with his bad, blaming attitude and get to see the "Spirit World" up close and personal....and you don't have to be psychic to see that coming. Good on ya Darren for exposing the cynical lying little bald man behind the curtain.

  • @3ringquercus it just seems like he's trying to hipnotize him lol what a character

  • @3ringquercus

but sometimes i dont blink at ppl cause Im going into trance but this guy is a fake.I dont like him.

Plus for those that dont know.

Unbroken eye contact is a decptive precursor.Or should I say deception precursor

    contrary to popular thought

  • this person has a huge problem.....with himself. He needs help, he has an ego much too big!!!! pathetic!!

  • you think this guys bad? haha check out your government

  • this guy is an obvious cluck-faced liar. if he isn't and truly believes that he is a psychic he is an obvious moron... how the hell did you not know that your sister was living there. maybe he just has really bad family problems and doesn't keep in contact with her.. :P

  • 6:05 it's so obvious the guy is lying. he reacted far too fast. anyone who didn't have that experience would have been more confused than anything and have to think about it. plus the huge voice change at 6:27... thats the only time i heard him speak like that.. obvious sign of lying

  • @1pokerknight

yeah you pay attention to body language also.did you notice between 6:04-6:09 was the smile of getting caught.

    slight but apparent.

  • So; when he pulled up to the womans house, he didnt notice that his sisters house was right next door?

  • The way that guy just stares at derren brown without looking away seems unnatural.. I feel like he's checking people to see if they know he's lying or not.

  • After that I never did another reading. It feels real. Even to the medium. But I can tell that this guy right here knows that is not real already. Takes one to know one. For me, money has never been an issue. I am a very ethical person. And I would not screw anyone over knowingly.

The truth is that your loved ones will not talk to you again. They now live inside your heart and mind. They are there. Hug them. And when you do... your heart will fill full again.

  • @mercurio0000 wow, i'm so happy i saw this comment. it's almost like just this one change in you makes all the work derren went through worthwhile.

  • @1pokerknight Thank you so much. Your comment was uplifting. You may not believe this, but Derren is risking his life by doing this. I bet you he knows. This is a multi million dollar industry world wide. And he is exposing them. You seen their reaction. The sad fact is that most people will cling to their believes. I on the other hand rather not lie to myself and others. It is awful to lie to others, but when you lie to yourself is even worse. Thank you for your comment Pokerknight.

  • @mercurio0000 :) thank you for the thanks!

  • I love Derren Brown. I love where he stand. He is honest, and inside his heart he would not be able to sleep if he ever pretended to talk to the dead. He is an amazing person. And why is it that all this charlatans always get mad? That makes it so obvious. But as an ex- card reader I tell you that even if you never read a book about cold reading or anything, this can come natural. I was fool by it myself. I used to believe that I had a gift. But the moment I discover it was not real, I stopped

  • He may have had a bad reading there, because spirits were coming into the FAKE HOUSE setting. He might have been getting interference because they were in the wrong house! This woman wanted contact with her sister, he might have been able to focus better on her by being in her home. He might have had excellent contact if he was in the hospital where her sister died.

  • @sloppyjakekisses Suuuuure, a "fake house", that's why he messed up, totally had nothing to do with cold reading.

  • That Woman just owned the medium .. at 3:00 here it comes.

  • Mr. Ass-crack (Joe Power) sucks! He is a fraud and super childish!

  • Ha! Joe Power is just another one of the flimflammers and snake oil salesmen out there. All psychics are fake. Derren rocks.

  • He forgot where his sister lived!? Oh my god this guy is SUCH a loser seriously. And the worst thing is he's becoming more famous(He released a book under an utterly pretentious name). And it's obvious his focus is on "performing in front of 2 to 3 thousand people" for profit, instead of actually giving comfort (which is merely a secondary concern). Sorry needed to rant because I can't stand the indignity of it all.

  • I was pretty skeptical to this things but my mum beleved this stuff and watched this kinds of "Talking to the dead" stuff and now i am wondering if i should tell her about Cold reading or not? plus She has a Witch as shes friend,But i do think i can tell her bc my cousin read an sceptical artical about that... As i said i have always been sceptical to this but it isnt until now that i really knows how it works! Thx ScepticaTV!

  • Yeah right, DB was really stooping low there with the mini, how dare he mention it? Way too much eye contact in that last interview, if anything's bad showmanship it's that type of overcompensation. Moral of the story - don't bullshit a bullshitter

  • People should be grateful that they are people like Derren and the Amazing Randi out there that care enough about humanity to make sure that they know the truth and aren't being hustled into a false belief. This guy's my hero.
