That sucks, I know from experience. Was it a total loss or repairable? Sorry for the unfortunate result. By the way, Launching straight out is the worst idea. I have found thet full throttle and a 30 degree throw angled upward will allow the plane to climb right out nicely.

Dont throw it up like you did, throw is flat or at a shallower angle it prevents a stall. Which is why yours crashed.

Appeared to be a lite toss, followed by an immediate stall.
