Don,t know where you live but if its Britain,google "soul source," there are northern nights everywhere, Recently been to Italy its a young scene there. Also been to Ireland, Sweden, Australia and Tenerife. Its as big as ever , Good Luck.

berlin has a nice scene too . Was sitting in a small bar one night and noticed all these retro skin heads arriving . Next thing the vinyls were on the deck and all these ordinary normal birds were spinning round the place . Total surprise i wasnt expecting .

it was barbara mills it available on most N/S classic albums or if you want a copy on vinyl its on the hickory lable ref 45-1323 and goes for about £10-15

There's the Empress at Mexborough, which is well organised. Next one is the end of March.

There's also some good venues around Doncaster and Barnsley aswell

Theres one in Ilkeston, near derby, its not really far from rotherham about 30 mins. Its at a place called the Regency Suites, there are 4 massive rooms all with different types of motown / northern soul, over a 1000 people go to it. 6 quid to get in mate, people come from all over normally :)
