I know the owner to a bowling ally here in California. the light bill comes out to $11,000 a mouth. Most bowling places don't have many windows, so they use 200-400 lights to have light in the ally. Then each lane has its own pinsetter that eats up more power. They open different hours everyday base on the amount of people that go at that time. If they have 20 people waiting when they open, then they'll think about opening earlier the next week. otherwise they try to save on electricity.
