Yeah very realistic. The most realistic part was with the sniper rifle and those flying bodies to 600 meteres away, in wich bullets hit. And those exploading heads. Yes... yes... That was crap of shit, not Rambo! Rambo was in First Blood and that's it. One of the worsts movies last time! Only newest Indiana Jones and third part of Pirates of Carribean could beat it.

I'm disappointed that Stallone is not moving forward with Rambo 5 but it's all for the best. Rambo went home in this film and I can understand Stallone's intentions to retire the character and leave a good thing alone. So, bring it on Expendables 2!

I didn't like this movie at all. Rambo 1 had a great story. Rambo 2, and 3, had bad stories but they had some of the best action scenes in cinema. Rambo 4 had a bad boring story and boring slow action. Either give us a good story or give us over the top crazy action like the other Rambo films. This movie doesn't give anything good. It's too bad too, the newest rocky I loved and Rambo 1 is my favorite Stalone movie I hoped he could rescue the Rambo franchise like Rocky,but he ruined it.

I thought this movie was great for another reason: It raised awareness to the genocide in Burma. That shit is REAL. Much like Uwe Boll's new film 'Attack on Darfur', I think it's important that film makers take time to bring some sort of awareness to their work. Makes it much more meaningful.

I mean, thats why he went to save them, because of her. So when the end comes, it doesnt show anything out of it. Just them two staring at each other and he goes home......

There wasnt a lot of hype with this movie becasue i think he self financed much of it. Also, there are many symbolic things in this movie. his knife for one is a primative hunk of steal hamered into a weapon, He kills the bad guy with a missel from ww2 left from that war. It is as to say, war is embeded in the human species.

@lestat34208 Must be someone who's never been in combat then because I can tell you first hand that when large caliber bullets tear into flesh, what you saw in Rambo is EXACTLY what happens. Take a 50 cal to the heart and see where the bottom half of your body ends up. Stallone should be commended for showing the world what it's really like. If Spielberg had directed Rambo that way the world would be singing his praises.

I think Stallone did a remarkable job portraying what the Rambo character would have evolved into with age; bitter and reclusive while trying to deal with his own demons. I was really surprised by how good the film actually was.

I fully agree with you. Also, Sly said in an interview that the reason that the camera moves the way it does, is to make you feel like you're inside "Rambo's" head. Rambo is a disturbed individual with plenty of demons that keeps his mind constantly in motion. I had doubts about Sly's directorial works, but no more.
