The frontend software is called MaLa. The leds in the buttons are controlled and power by a PCB called an Led-Wiz. You can find loads of info on this sort of stuff and how to build your own cab over at the, Build Your Own Aracde Controls forum

Wow, this is the most polished design I've ever seen. Everything is set up all nice and more custom than any other mame cabinet I've ever seen.

Maybe you are a programmer (I sure am) or an engineer (I'm definitely not..) Did you do this yourself or is this possible due to some front end that I've never heard of? I've had some aborted cabinet attempts and so when I do it next time I'm going to do it RIGHT and have it all planned out. Any helpful tips you have would be, er.., helpful.
