w/secrecy & without accountability, work for a philosophy that differs from the will & the desire of the American people as well as working, in concert w/others, to undermine the economy/destroy the fabric and infrastructure of the country, the enemy is in charge. Gov/corps are building a fascist empire, the gov is not for/with people i.e. NAFTA/NAU, Amero
Many world -smart- economist have favored this idea, the paper money can be back by gold, or the coins be gold, anyway, the money gets more value and respect and becomes stronger. and just in case you ask, No our FRN are not backed by Gold.
He would not switch back to the gold standard overnight. That would be disastrous. If I understood correctly, his idea is to change this gradually by legalizing competition between hard assets money and federal notes.
As for a great depression, I think you're in greater danger of something like that happening because of (not in spite of) the Federal Reserve's policies. Remember, the Federal Reserve made the great depression worse during the 30's, betraying its alleged purpose of stabilizing the economy during times of crisis. Look it up.
But I had watched the "The money masters" film.According to them, Because right now USA's(at 1995 that film produce)Gold reserve is not enough to back the dollar change back to Gold Standard. It is very danger step to move back.
