That looks pretty even to me. If you add up the age of the guys in Slayer, you have 179 and if you add up the age of the guys you have in Metallica, it's 180.

As for Slayer playing more heavy, though, yeach, but that's not what's most important. Metallica has always broadened their horizon, whereas Slayer has remained rather one-dementional.
