you must be blind, or you dunno how to read, this video is pretty old and my playing in this video is really awfull but your hears need to develop enough to be able to hear my mistakes lolol.
i was ashemed and wanted to delete this video but my friends asked me not to because it will make me remember my 'old me'. i didn't had the naked tracks back then.
i even thought about recording a newer version but it aint worth the effort, i'm heading for jazzy fusion stuff not rock shred.
i've been thinking about that... but i haven't had much time eheh, good luck getting a 570, they are getting pretty sought after in the used market as they are good guitars that sometimes come in very low prices. good luck ;)
@Duffman1300068 ty very much. this vid is old and my playing here was pretty bad but the guitar used, these japan made RGs are amazing I have 3 of them now. althought one is a GRG270B with edgeIII, but with dimarzios (air norton + tonezone) wich make it sound so nice so powerfull.
god i love rg570's. theyre every bit as good as a jem with 1/3rd the price. well they dont make em anymore (unless you count the rg1570?) but you get what i mean
@deathcore1239 yeah, the big diference is on the edge to edge pro bridge or zr bridge.
getting a RG stock you can change pickups to whatever you like and it can suit a wide range of styles from the heaviest stuff to shred to funk or sometimes even jazz.
this one needs a refret as it is quite old... but still a great instrument.
@CarlosCepinha yea i knew they changes trems and put a prestige neck profile and logo on it but thats about it. i love the versatility of an ibanez, the rest are so 1 dimensional. schecters=metal, esp's=metal, gibson=classic rock & metal, fender=rock & blues well, you get what i mean. but ibanez can do em all (tho its really hard to get that strat sound)
hey Carlos, i thought you did a very good job covering one of the greatest ballads of all time. I love Steve Vai....How long did it take you to master it? how long have you been playing? i have a 1990 RG570 myself......i have played for a long time, but haven''t dedicated myself the way i should....good job! Peace- Keldog
I've been thinkin about doing a new vid on this cover because it is full of errors and vry sloppy. I'm really far away of mastering this tune. About the guitar, Ibanez RG are great guitars from the 500s line up to 700 (in the old school models).
Thank you very much for the kind comment, i guess it took me a few days it was recorded 1or2 years ago... i can't remember very well.
It's never late to dedicate yourself and music isn't that much about skills eheh
well, remember petrucci uses it and he gets a powerfull tone, but he uses mesa amps.
the pickup doesn't sound 'that' heavy, sounds very wide open BTW (wich means u dont have to midscoop the EQ to get an 'edgy' sound).
it has a lot of defenition and cuts very well in the mix. it also heps with harmonics too. it may depend on the distortion you get, u suggest to use a good low end distortion to make the pickup sound fat
I like your guitar a lot. I have a 1990 jewel blue rg570 i bought when i was 17 or 18. I sold it 10 years ago to my brother-in-law and bought it back about 4 months ago and i've fallen in love with it again....
wow dude, thats sounds amazing, your tone sounds awesome and your playing as usual is shit hot! i'm seriously impressed by this, your on your way to becoming a top guitarist! you got skills my friend.
Cheater, get a real backing track without guitars, i'm listening like 70% Steve's guitar and only 30% your guitar

awsome bro, question: is the bridge edge or original floyd or what?
HitaroX 1 year ago
@HitaroX
really bad playing here this vid is too old... bridge is original edge, the first edge model ever, introduced by Ibanez in 1987.
