wow you are very talented people like you inspire me so much i am 13 and i love making mini things like food i make them out of plastecine and cover them in see through nail varnish to harden then and i would love some edvice from someone like you i think they turn out but is there anything better i could use?

@eimr12345 - Hi and thank you for your lovely comment. I used polymer clay with my miniatures. It is a clay that is baked in the oven. There are several different brands and you can find them online, or at Michaels or other craft stores. I highly recommend learning from those who do this for a living. The place where I learned from is, "Custom Dolls, Houses and Miniatures" - cdhm.org - This is a wonderful website that has tutorials and even people there that can answer questions.

@eimr12345 - I'd also like to add if you are really serious about making miniatures and learning the techniques used, that web site is by far the best place that I know of to learn these things. There are people that appear in miniature magazines on there a lot of the times. How I wished I had a passion for making this at the age of 13! You could really be ahead of the class if learning this at that age. God bless you kiddo & if I can give you any more advise let me know.

Thank you for commenting back :D and i will keep learning how to make these things im only 11 so i cant do this stuff so good but i try my best and my friends have decided to come and look i showed some of my friends at school and you inspired them to try and make all these kind of stuff if you would go take some of your presouse time and go look at this womans makings with pollymore clay her name is garden of imagination and it should pop up with some of her videos :D

@Crissiee55 - Hi again Crissiee! One does not have to be a certain age to enjoy learning how to do the things that you like. I started doing artwork, pencil sketches and chalk at about your age. The fact that you and your friends TRY is the biggest thing! Again your ability with working with the clay will come as you grow more use to it and not loose heart. I have seen many videos from "Garden of Imagination" They are great! Thanks for stopping back by :o)

@Crissiee55 - Hi Crissiee, Bless your heart...such kind words you say, thank you! Don't sell yourself short, making miniature food takes time to learn and the more you do it the better you will get. Again I learned a lot from cdhm.org - wonderful group of artisans that share "how too" on many things. I made the little boxes, some were made from images of my miniature paintings that I did years ago...Again cdhm.org in the forums, great place to learn so much!

I think everyone who saw that show wanted little people!! hahahaha! I didn't think about responsibility in those days...I just thought it would be great fun to have little people I could take everywhere with me...never thought about having to feed them or care for them! hahaha!!
