Computer games start to beat me at around 1400.
Yea i hear you. One thing I hate about shoddy is when you lose to someone that has a lower than 50% chance of beating you from hax and attacks missing. Yesterday I missed 4 Rock Slides in a row under normal circumstances and now I'm stuck between the high 1300's and low 1400's because of stuff like that.
@l0ngj0ng Well I've only played in one rated tournament, and that was States. I went 2-2 (shoulda been 3.5-.5....I have a horrible blunder habit when I'm up by a lot.)
and the two guys I beat had really horrible rankings, and I lost to guys 1300+, so with those as my only 4 rated games they put me at a provisional crappy rank.
Evolved forms such as Empoleon, Staraptor, Swellow, Dodrio, Togekiss, and Honchkrow would be far too powerful compared to the NU/UU birds.
Just like OU, everyone ends up using the same thing because its stronger, more effective, and the other little guys can't cut it. We still ended up using 3 of the same (though one of them couldn't have been more different of a set) and the 3 we used were the "most powerful" of the birds we DID allow, so its proof right there we used as strong as we could.
I think what it really comes down to is strategy. As simple as that sounds, it's true. Let's say you could use any bird u wanted, you guys most likely would've chosen the team mentioned above. It becomes a chess match

Yeah, totally agree, I "taught" a friend to play and he probably couldn't play again if he tried to. My uncle taught me when I was 5. I could have tried but I'm pretty sure its only a 50% chance the 2nd time, regardless of fail due to the switch. Fail from consecutive uses resets it though, I think.....meh.
I'm surprised you didn't know that about Encore. It can even get some use in OU battles too, ya know. Alakazam can get some good use out of it; it's even usable on Infernape. The opponent will pretty much switch 100% of the time, so you get a free stat boost or a sub.

It was fairly simple...I forget if its def or sp def is higher but put the nature + in that one and - in sp atk.
Max HP and split defenses as you so choose to weight them. I think it had a few speed like 12 evs to beat something but I forget.

Just the "Tier" placements of pokemon, which are horribly broken right now.
It simply stands for how much a pokemon is used. OVER-used, UNDER-used, and NOT/NEVER-used.
It used to mean how strong/capable the pokemon is, and tiers were important.

When you use protect and someone switches on your portect which makes it fail you can use it again with it still being 100% without fail.

I've never tried it myself, but I've seen the computer pull off Protect after I switched as they did Protect...many, many times...
I'm pretty sure the counter is only set if you "successfully" protected--note that if they switch, it says "[Pokemon] used Protect! But it failed!".

Lol. Yeah I play. I wish everyone did, you kidding? Half the time I ask people they have no idea how to play, and its not really a game you can teach. You kind of have to want to learn it.

Yeah, totally agree, I "taught" a friend to play and he probably couldn't play again if he tried to. My uncle taught me when I was 5. Haven't ever won a game because he and other people he taught and plays with more are the only people I've ever played. Man, it's weird to actually speak with you, I've been watching your videos and I keep thinking "I want to be good enough to challenge him sometime", it's weird how you hype people up to almost uber celebrity status lol.

You could of Protected again technically it failed so it didn't go through which means you could of used it.

I could have tried but I'm pretty sure its only a 50% chance the 2nd time, regardless of fail due to the switch. Fail from consecutive uses resets it though, I think.....meh.

I'm surprised you didn't know that about Encore. It can even get some use in OU battles too, ya know. Alakazam can get some good use out of it; it's even usable on Infernape. The opponent will pretty much switch 100% of the time, so you get a free stat boost or a sub.
