  • What an inspired piece. Beautiful. Technical yet still very melodic. Maybe I should give DADGAD tuning a go :)

  • you know Ben, I'll rephrase: this is extraordinarily beautifull... Oh man. I can't get enough of this... gives me a cick every single time.

  • What a beatiful tune!

I bought 「PRELIMINARIES」. It is full of good tunes.

I am expecting it of your next album.

Curiosity: my first CD is called Juley , It's a Ladakh

It means hello, goodbyeplease and thanks at the same time :-)

  • @anitadavideduo Thanks! Yes, I also thought about using Juley as a title! Similar minds, no? :D

  • Sorry for being so much late to comment your great songs and your incredible playing!

    B

  • Excellent. I really enjoy your compositions.

    Pura Vida!!

  • Mmm yeah...stop tweaking out when you play. It's not novel...it's overstated and exaggerated...not to mention quite dumb.

  • @Allein5 It's a good way to get your critical mind out of the way and just *play*. He's not doing it on purpose, I will assure you. People can tell you 100 times not to do this when you play, but you can't help it.

  • breath-takingly beautiful. bravo

  • Lovely piece

  • Great Ben! what beautiful sound you can create! It Is not only merit of Lowden! : )

    ciao

  • I will enjoy it when it gets here, they tell me it;s 2 -3 weeks away, I'm excited. Forgot to ask Ben where are you from? Cheers mate. Glenn

  • Thanks Ben, I've just bought a new Lowden and was wondering what to use for a pick up, I thought yours sounded good, it still sounds like a Lowden, some systems seem to detract from it's unique sound. Thanks again and keep on playing you sound great.

  • @GCall41 Enjoy your new guitar! :)

  • Hey Ben well played mate. What sort of pick up do you use?

  • @GCall41 Thanks! I use the K&K Trinity System; 3 mini head transducers blended with an internal mic. On this track I'm just using the pickups and an external Beyer MC930 condenser mic.

  • Hey mate, saw you playing in Bath yesterday and just had to buy your album. :) You have very precise technique and it's great how you can express so much emotions with rather steady tempo. I can literally feel the peace. Good luck with everything, you rock!

  • @Bohemia220 Thank you! And cheers for listening so carefully in Bath too! All the best, Ben

  • Message from Violinist Chris.......this is so cool mate!

  • ...No walk in the park, Ben...!!!! (working hard on it...)

Oh, I nearly forgot: its drop dead gorgeous! :-D

  • what a wonderful original, I enjoyed very much :)

  • DADGAD?

  • @parkour234 Yes :)

  • @BenPowellGuitar Incredible. So soulful. Do you happen to have scores for this piece? For now, learning is by ear. But written music would be useful. You are a real inspiration to me, this is the style of guitar I most revere. You, sir, are a master.

  • @parkour234 No written music yet, but when the nights start drawing in I'll get down to writing out some pieces in full! All the best, Ben.

  • Beautiful :) I saw you play outside the roman baths yesterday and have been listening to this since

  • Back for more and hope you don't mind I've shared this on facebook... phenomenal piece and really exquisite nuances to your playing. The way you manage to keep that harmonic ringing out at 1:20 and your vibrato on chords. Really so taken with this. Wishing you all the luck.
