Again, I think they both look great. To me it seems that both of them are expressing their personalities. For example, I think that the speaker portrays an image that is artistic, intelligent, warm, and outgoing, while I think her model looks classic and elegant. I appreciate women who dress (especially as we become older) as individuals who have found themselves. I guess it's all in who you are seeking to attract - older women who look like they are trying to catch a man make me gag.
I'm not 50. I'm actually in my 20s, but the outfit you have this woman wearing is ugly. A pencil skirt with a frumpy top? Ew. From a young adult's perspective, I would say that older women can get away with wearing many styles. It all depends on how they pull it together. Some dark denim, boot cut/ straight leg jeans with flattering pumps, a brown crochet or leather belt, a white sleeveless button vest, with royal a blue henley mid sleeve top underneath could be pulled of very well. Try it.
Excuse me, but the dress you are wearing, at least on this video, is extraordinarily unattractive & you might have thought to pile your hair on top of your head. I agree with the other lady's comments as well about the pencil (horrid pattern!) skirt with maternity top--ridiculous. I'll stick to keds and sweats. . OMG. It is a joke, right?
OMG... I'm 50... and forgive me for saying this- but- you are not qualified to be a fashion consultant- much less an expert on "dress for the older woman"
A pencil skirt does NOT look good paired with a frumpy "I look 5 months pregnant " top!
A woman over 50- can wear anything that a woman in her 20's can wear- provided-
her personality allows for it.
There is no rule for fashion- other than- it should reflect your mood.
I can recommend several Image / Fashion sites for you to visit to update your views. The reason so many women ( and men) miss opportunities is due to the fact that they wear exactly what they feel / have with no idea of message they communicate through their clothes. Mood / personality is one aspect but certainly not what we base our preceps on. Thank you for tuning in.
Yuck.
