  • With answer to Tigermaster1986 it's called respect for possibly the greatest guitarist on the planet today.I have been to 4 J.B. concerts all have been seated arenas and the fans have been what you might call like myself a little on the older side. It's no as if people are not enjoying it they are, but if you haven't been to one of his shows they you won't understand. You listen to Joe Bonamassa and enjoy his shows.

  • Just Unreal!

  • Tabs please? Wait... Nevermind.

  • His accoustic guitar and his voice !! Go Joe Go !!

  • I saw him do this live,,, OMG !!!

  • He's very very good. Now to put things in perspective, check out Tommy Emmanuel.

  • What the hell is wrong with the audience?

How can they be so emotionless when someone is playing like that for them?

  • 7 unlikes? 7 reasons to die .

  • That was the most ....ummm...uh, humm......OMG, there is not even a word for what just happened there. I'm literally speachless. Well, except to say, that Joe must be one hell of a negotioator, because in recent memory only one other blues guitarist comes to mind who gambled and won that level of talent at the crossroads. A lone star genius whose name and music goes on forever.

Way to go Joe...now stay out of helicopters and light aircraft. We want you to be around for a long time.

  • surely his soul belongs to the devil!

  • Thumbs up if this is the best guitarist you have ever seen.

  • Go Agent Smith Go!

  • March 27th, 2012, Edinburgh Usher Hall.

  • 5 DISLIKES??? ARE YOU HAVING A FUCKING LAUGH? This is genius.

  • what class.you can bet that he didn't wast his time on a p/c?

  • Going to see Joe B in Buffalo I can't wait to see him. Jam Simply the best

  • its not fair that one guy can play AND sing that well..........

  • Eric Clapton (arguably one of, if not the greatest "living" guitarist) said that joe is the greatest guitarist alive today. Just saying. Pretty good vote of confidence :)

  • He's one of the greatest musicians to ever live, period. Masterful.

  • holy shit! 2:17 is so badass!

  • these were the best 9:58 mins. I've spent on youtube in a long time

  • This guy is not from this planet

  • I liked the part at 00:01 - 09:58.

  • @xMrNovemberx i liked 00:00 - 09:59

  • i had to comment twice, because its that fucking brilliant.

  • so many skills are displayed. bravo

  • I was very fortunate to see Joe in Vancouver B.C. last month , travelled from Northern Alberta to catch this concert . Thats when I found that this wasn't a concert !!!!! This was a f#*@ing experience !! I will be catching the experience again !! I still get the shivers when I watch the vids !!

  • This guy is the best guitarist alive!

  • @71skimoe this guy is the best guy alive you mean?

  • woke up dreamin´

  • whats the name of this song ? if it is a song

  • Total respect

  • HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIJOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • this guy is the fastest since SRV, no doubt, amazing, great song too!!

  • God I want to chew on his bottom lip...O.O Did I just post this out loud?

  • Meh, I play better with my air guitar. Oh, wait..

  • yes but will it blend?, and can he play scuttle buttin'?

  • @anderson5908 i lold

  • Never ceases to amaze me. He does not get the credit he deserves.

  • Magic!!! ...thanks UltraSharpMusic. : )

  • at one point i could swear i saw smoke...lol...awsome..never really saw a acoustic guitar played that way..i hope i see more

  • Saw him live in San Antonio. Absolute mastery of the guitar. Lots of guts and feel to his music. Great personality and no doubt, gifted.

  • Every time I listen to this guy, I'm just blown away more! Superb stuff Joe.

  • I looked at my guitar, dunked its headstock in the toilet and yelled "WHY CAN'T YOU DO THIS??? WHY???"

  • hate the tone of the guitar... soooo awful. but he is soooo good

  • HE GETS INSIDE MY EVERY THING

  • so I can sound like that if I move my fingers really fast?

  • where can I get me one of those $10,000 guitars and $25,000 set of amps with $3,000 foot pedals?

  • so I start with a G and then its a D or was it D and then G ?

  • @steverduffer

    haha ^^

  • I thought I was a good guitarest....... untill I saw this.

  • the best i have ever heard in my whole live.

  • The guitar hero has entered a new phase. I suspect their will be more players of this class in the future

  • Well obviously this guy hasn't been wasting his time playing Guitar Hero

  • @sp1naway You don't suck, Joe's been playing since he was 4 and he is now in his thirties. You've just got to put the practise in. :)

  • its called woke up dreaming!

  • Malmsteen and Zakk Wylde should watch this and learn! the dynamic here is AWESOME!!

fast, relaxed, groove and feel. one of the best live solos I've heard!

thank you for UL! Love it!

  • So what is the name of the song he starts singing?

  • ottimo

  • Sad, Joe can never really play hard core blues. This song is stuck somewhere between Clapton and DiMeola. I had to fast forward it.

    I miss SRV

  • @ikravchik I don't know where you say he can't play hard core blues....you obviously haven't listened to enough of his stuff to know...take a listen to his Blues Delux CD...tributes to everyone from Robert Johnson to BB King...

  • @ikravchik I can't believe you said that like it's a bad thing! I love SRV just as much as you. but none said that Bonamassa is just a blues player. he can play a LOT of different genres, and bloody well that is. Blues is one of them.

  • thanks for posting

  • I saw him last night here in Phoenix. While this solo isn't exactly what he played last night, it has similar elements. My impression is that it's very Pete Townshend/Who inspired. I've seen Pete do a similar kind of thing on an acoustic, mainly pounding away on an open string and throwing in chords on top of it. Does anyone else agree?

  • PURE MUSIC MAGIC. JOE RULES!!! THANX FOR BEING THE SOUNDTRACK IN MY LIFE FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS:::::::MAY IT NEVER END....

  • My wife and I will see Joe for the 9th time this Thursday in the Houston area....If you love great guitar music, then you have to see this guy when he comes to your town....I was a convert from the time I read an article on him in Cruiser magazine. He had opened for Peter Frampton and had all but stole the show...I figured if he could hold his own with someone like Frampton....Lord knows he converted me... he is just like Johnny B. Good...He can play that thing like ringing a bell..

  • @jlhilbert1 I have only see him twice. One of my favorites. Just wondering, does he change up his shows. I just saw him in Clearwater...very same show I saw last year in Melbourne..just a few changes.I knew what was coming next...

  • @piergear1 he always does new stuff with a mix of the old in there....

  • I would have sex with him despite the fact I'm not gay

  • I hope they keep a fire extinguisher handy because those strings were smokin'

  • Why audience? Y u no move, to that perfect solo?

  • @rillyhat14 did you see them, most of them are older, i have been to 4 shows and its a older crowd (im 25) like late 40s-late 50s, and then the in-between. But its definitely one of the best shows ive ever been to.

  • han är helt överlägsen. THE BEST!!

  • Great guitar player, could listen all day!!!

  • Waiting for Joe to tear it up in Knoxville 11-27-20011...

  • I just can't move from my chair.

  • this guys alright but hes got timing issues tommy emmanuel for acoustic guitar all day set a metronome next to tommy and the metronome will get of beat before him

srry just alittle fact and opinion

  • @newlanguage124 Your name is ironic to this comment. Sorry, just a little thing I noticed.

  • @PwnHack new language was the name of my band

  • @newlanguage124 Oh that's pretty cool. Have anything up on Youtube?

  • @PwnHack na soon but it will just be me not the band we arent together anymore

  • @newlanguage124 If you want perfect timing, a metronome will do it for you every time. If you want feel, tone, soul and that certain 'something', then this should do it for you. Tommy Emmanuel is doubtless an outstanding guitarist - I love his work. Bonamassa plays electric, primarily - not acoustic, like Tommy.

  • @musiclover9361 as a musician myself i dont usually compare but was just havin a bad obviously hes doin something right cause hes famous so i def respect your anwser

  • I have seen many many guitar players in my life BUT this guy is a guitar god.

  • and all that without even looking at his hands...amazing!!

  • no offence, but you get the idea after a minute

  • Joe Bona-fuckin'-Massa!!!!!

    Awesome!!!!

Start every morning with a hot cup of Joe.

  • @waiting4theRapture Dude, same here! I start every morning with Joe!

  • genius

  • Joe is quite skillful

  • Joe BOSSNAMASA :D

  • Does anyone know what acoustic guitar he's playing here????

  • @JohnThurcaston I;m almost sure it's a Yamaha Acoustic

  • I can listen to Bonamassa all day. In fact, I do. What a master. Blows my mind.

  • wow sounds like a whole damn band wow damn

  • This is actually called "Woke Up Dreaming" I think. Also played it, athough somewhat different, in Zurich on 3 May 2011 :)

  • @Anomis123 he also played it in Newcastle, back in October 2010!

  • only 24k views..godammit ppl this is the shit!!!!!!!

  • This is beyond incredible, Bonamassa is easily one of the best Guitarists ever

  • @Danwell100 wrong

  • @Barefoot67 ok

  • his voice reminds me a bit of triggerfinger belgian band

  • Canımı sıkıyon coo, siktirme penanı parmağını!

  • 7:20 I thought he was Paul Gilbert

  • @IronBass1995 loool I know me too, we've been watching too much paul gilbert isntructional videos heh

  • He woulda been huge in the '60s and '70s. Look at the way Clapton looks at him as they play Further On Up The Road. He's definitely one of the greatest guitarists ever. But the music industry -- and the public's taste -- has turned to pre-chewed bubblegum on heel of a shit-stained Croc.

  • This was absolutely beautiful. Really shows off Joes versatility. Easily one of the best guitarists to have ever played. Keep rockin joe!

  • I was at the taft also. I posted a few vids I took. Check em out. Best I've seen.

  • hey, whats the name of this song?

  • @elCanAbyss The song is called "Woke Up Dreaming." This particular version of the song is found on his album "Joe Bonamassa: Live From the Royal Albert Hall."

  • @StarlingFalling OMG thats not an album, thats a DVD of 2 discs, maybe you should buy it then talk

  • @LesPaulFreak10

I know it is a dvd. It was also released as a single album on itunes.

  • Yeah, I was in Cincy too at the Taft. Utterly brilliant. Never seen anyone play acoustic like that. My wife who didn't know Joe at all except hearing me talk about him was stunned. Best show I have ever seen. Joe has me for life. Not to mention he is a massively cool guy.

  • Saw him tonight in Cincy... I'm a changed man...

  • saw him lastnight in Green Bay WI he can do thing i never thought possible on any guitar!!

  • The Greatest guitarist ever!!!!!!!

  • unreal

  • Saw this at Dallas Texas tonight. Incredible!

  • OMG after that video, I felt in love with joe ( not in a gay way ) :)

  • dynamics are ridiculous in the song

  • Yo

  • THE FUCKIN BEST?!?!

  • @Basolli faggot

  • @Basolli what with the question marks he is

  • What a great concert! Last night at Hard Rock Cafe, unbelievable! 12-10-2010-in Hollywood,Fla.-USA -He jammed on this same guitar! Young man blue's was great too!

  • Saw him do something very similar last night in Melbourne FL. . WOW..the only acoustic song he did but the best of the show. Take the time to listen to this....really.
