  • Someone please: What is the name of that song in the background? 0:06...

    Thanks!!!

  • I have been a cyclist on top plan but even when I was best, I cant imagine how you can be as good as this mashine...

  • i know why armstrong fell on 1:29 a person pull lance's handlebar by hooking a yellow hanky accidentally ..

  • I am a huge fan of Lance Armstrong, will always be as long as I live, Nothing will change that. (And I have nothing but respect for Jan Ullrich, Armstrong said himself "Jan is a nice guy,...may be too nice")

  • stupid kid with the yello thing

  • I know helmets are for safety and I'm all for it but the riders look so much cooler without them!

  • Just wondering, is there some sort of penalty for cutting a corner like that?

  • @MrEliteZone this was before helmets became a mandate on the road. Back when helmets had poor ventilation and even poorer weight standards. A rider would quickly become dehydrated and overheated from having something like that on his head. So dehydrate and drop off you lose. Crash and bust your noggin, you lose. Lose either way.

  • I woke up at 4 a.m in college and watched this high as hell on caffieine and pot. Needless to say I screamed and was very in to this stage. What a moment.

  • 2 drug cheats not cheating, see you don't have to cheat

  • Ulrich didn't wait until Tyler Hamilton reminded him of when Armstrong waited for him. Watch it again, Ulrich was ruthless.

  • I can't believe he finished, let alone won the stage. I read his book, Every Second Counts, and it said that this crash actually broke his chainstay.

  • 1:14 the boy swings his yellow bag and it hooks lance's right brake. what an absolute unfortunate -.-

  • That's true what bikeracerguy says...Merckx was the best. He won the maillot jaune, the green jersey and the polka dot jersey. Lance didn't even come close to doing that. Even so Lance is an absolute legend and hero AND never caught doping! He was the most tested athelete on the planet at one stage and never caught!

  • Respect for Armstrong. However, this is why I hate clip ins.

  • It was´nt just "Adrenalin" in his veins....I never believed in this guy.He may have put cycling on the map a lot of places around the world. But as a longtime cycling fan you always knew there where something fishy about his methods.

  • ullrich is a gentleman. in the probably only chance he could have to win a tdf against armstrong, he slows down after armstrong and mayo crashes. what an example of riders those were, a bit different than some in the last tour de france..

ullrich would be a monster to the history books of tour de france if it wasn't for this guy called lance armstrong in his life. i didn't watch the tdf at those days, but when i see vids on utube, it really makes me wish i had watched.

  • LIVESTRONG

  • that guys a deutch for making lance crash

  • dude eveytime i watch this video i get super mad and wish i was the one falling ide get up off my ass and kick that guys fucking ass for catching my bars with the bag

  • Classic Tour

  • wow that is gr8..but i dont like when he took that "Short cut" but hell yeah..its helluva inspiring

  • French fuckers!

  • 2:10 look at that dirty spic mexican wave his flag in the face of that racer. typical

  • @PrincessKittenz

    Shut ya gay mouf.

  • @PrincessKittenz Dumbasss! That is the flag of the Basque Country he's waving not the Mexican flag. If you're going to make an insanely stupid remark like that, at least get your facts straight. Why Youtube entices idiots such as yourself to make uneducated, asinine remarks I'll never know.

  • @zatarregaza oh my bad, in that case, Basqueans are just as horrid as spic mexicans....

  • I STILL IS UNCLEAR HERE!

  • Lance you are so fucking amazing!!!

  • wow

  • @barqu3ntine it wasnt a rule back than to wear a helmet

  • THE KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE this guy!!!!! All you haters: Where are YOU???!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Clowns!

  • at 1: 14 it wasnt even lances mistake the idiot kid tried to tag him with a bag and it got caught on his break lever and the bag went down with the bike

  • Why aren't they wearing helmets?

  • lmao, his epo started working fine after the fall

  • I bet that kid with the hat feels like a bitch

  • Jan Ullrich did not wait, the pace was too fast for him and he was relieved that it slowed.

  • This tour is burned in everyone heads I think bc off all the crazy things Lance endured and still won!

  • nice one kid

  • the one thing no one has commented on is the fact that Jan Ullrich WAITED for lance to get back, people shouldnt forget that, great sportmanship, lance did the same for him the next year

  • 69,999th view... ill call it =P

  • Way to get back. This is why he is a champion.

  • wow man, Is there anything this guy can't do.... Another hardcore ride! Go lance!!

  • @FA22raptero May i direct you to the reply i gave to Tedytza....maybe then you'll understand why i said what i said....

  • Oh, really? I thought he caught up because of the adrenaline boost.

  • "Scared the hell out of me" and gave you a lead!

  • Lance Armstrong hits a supporter, he has gone off and lost 35 seconds to the other frontrunners.

  • its called epo

  • @kaukiski its call chemotherapy which destroys RBC's makes you sick and tired, EPO to bring RBC production back to baseline

  • how come they arent wearing helmets???

  • @suazonator Doh, helmets weren't compulsory you know, riders raced and trained for decades without them.

  • Its amazing what doping can do!

  • @KrazyTea8 Yeah it is, but what a shame Lance has never failed a dope test, despite being the most tested rider in the tours history.

  • put up some fucking fences.how about that?

  • hahahahahahahaha

im not laughing at the video, im laughing at the douchebags who are arguing about lance armstrong.

the guy is a legend, all legends have bad moments. Ossy Osboune. Michael Jackson. Lance Armstrong. Collin Farrel.

oh wait. not Colin Farrel. He is not a legend.

  • Damn audience

  • Can someone please tell me the name of the song in the background?

  • incredible recovery

  • lance armstrong the micheal schumacher of Tour De France lol

  • More a Madoff or a Ben Johnson. The best dope user.

Just read Ashenden interview on velocitynation website to learn more about his 6 EPO samples of 1999 TDF.

  • @u368 Fuck off you sad, bitter cunt. Take ur anti-lance religion and shove it up ur ass. Armstrong has NEVER failed a dope test, and that's a fact.

  • Lance Armstrong had a positive test for corticosteroid for the 1st stage in 1999. At a press conference (2nd rest day), LA responding to EPO use confirmed he had no exemption for any therapeutic usage. 2 days later, his failed test was announced. No TUE mentiooned on doping form but a miraculous and outdated TUE from US Postal doctor appeared. O'Reilly USP masseuse testimonied it was a fake. Lance made a few months later a $500.000 secret donation, revealed in 2005 to UCI.

  • 2nd fact: during a retrotesting to validate an EPO test improvement, 8 Lance 2009 TDF samples were found to have exogenous EPO. 6 of them have amount higher than the trigger limit of positivity, the 2 others show undoubtly the use of EPO.

  • @PhotoRelax Theres a big difference, Schumacher was penalized many times for cheating, and a secret deal between Ferrari & the F1 governing body ensured he got away with many more shady moves. Schumi didn't nearly die from cancer, Lance Armstrong did, and he has never failed a dope test even tho he's the most drug tested rider in the history of the tour de france.

  • Check your facts:

Kohl was tested 200 times, Lance was tested around 80 times in the first part of his career (very much less than Zabel, Cippolini or Jalabert) and around 50-60 times since his come-back, much less than successfull riders Contador, Cancellara or Cavendish.

  • @u368 Durrrrrrrrrrrr, do you spam the same bullshit comments on every video? You pathetic little cocksucker, lol. You're obviously a clueless little boy who has never been a success at anything, and I suspect the only life you have is bitching about Armstrong. I suggest you go and look up corticosteroids, they are not anabolic, nor are they masking agents, they are commonly used for sports injurys and allergies. The fact is Armstrong has never failed a valid dope test, so get over it you retard.

  • Lance failed a valid dope test : the corticosteroid 1999 case, it was cleared ILLEGALY by UCI breaking his own rules because the AUT should have been on the doping form.

Lance had at the end of his TDF a 48% hematocrit, that can never be obtained by legal meaning for a guy who registred an 41-42% natural values. More damaging proof than a failed doping test. You can continue to grap straws to exonerate Lance, he is a doper as show us all his doping affairs and legal testimonies.

  • @hghepo You dumb twat, it was a corticosteroid for saddle sores, and it was WITHIN the UCI limits anyway.

The UCI limits for hematocrit are 50%, so yet again .... you fail, Armstrong doesn't. You can continue to pull all these so called 'facts' out of your arse, but the FACT is Armstrong has never failed a dope test, so you and ur friend u368 (I suspect you are the same person).... keep pushing ur stupid religion because it won't make the slightest difference, you fuckin sad, bitter loser!

  • Wrong again. The 50% limit is a healthy limit !

UCI doesn't allow to increase hematocrit by exogene meanings. To increase it from 41 to 48% is not doable naturally so that is doping !

It's not because you are not caught that you don't cheated.

Why did Lance need a backdated to TUE to clear a negative test? Logic seems to be not your best ability, you have a great future as idiot.

  • @hghepo And fact seems not to be your best ability, all ur figures, graphs & articles mean absolutely fuck all until Lance is caught in a valid dope test.

I laugh at ur ignorant stupidity, of the hundreds of cyclists and other sportsmen & women embroiled in doping, it's Armstrong alone that you vivlify. Are you a failed cyclist by any chance,or an ex talentless pro like Kimmage? No doubt you have a great future spouting ur mindless bullshit on you-tube.... you fuckin loser, lol.

  • @Sam1989allen Lmao, perhaps you should actually read my comments properly, and as for "making valid points", you haven't actually made a single one yourself, you just make silly comments without anything factual to back it up, which actually makes you sound like the idiot, and a bitter one at that, so don't go getting all self righteous on me.

Have you subscribed to the 'anti-Lance' religion too? As for Kimmage, he was a 2nd rate pro, and he's a 2nd rate journalist too.

  • I'm sure you've seen me write this already, but please type 'ashenden' and 'nyvelocity' into google, then go onto the first link. I'm sure the developer of the test for EPO has a far more valid opinion than either of us on whether Armstrong doped or not. The only 'fact' you seem to concentrate is that he has never failed a drugs test(even though he has- look at the link). This is irrelevant because the developers of PEDs are continuously developing newer drugs for which there is no test.

  • Also, autologous blood transfusing is undetectable by blood tests, so passing a drugs test regardless of whether you are charged should be simple.

I'm not self-righteous, I just don't see the need to insult people, I don't know you so why would I insult you?

How do I sound bitter exactly? I started watching the sport straight after Operacion Puerto and read up on cycling so understood that doping was pandemic in cycling, and didn't really care.

  • As for Kimmage, the man was a good domestique for a number of teams, and helped Nicholas Roche to a World Championship. He also completed a TdF, which deserves an enormous amount of respect. As for being a second-rate journalist, he won various awards for his books and newspaper column, and writes for The Times, one of the most respected newspapers in the world.

And wtf is the 'anti-lance religion'?

  • aw poor lance): what a dumbass in the crowd. i cant believe he still won that year tho!

  • What dumbass in the crowd? He was avoiding Beloki who had crashed in front of him. Surely it should be poor Beloki !!!!

  • Apologies - I thought you were talking about the first crash !

  • and did they shoot the girl that caused the accident?

    they should...

  • he won deal with it

  • The guy he hit just stood there in the same position. Nice stop.

  • THERE WERE NO "FRENCH FUCKS" IN THE WAY !

And apart from that, there other thousands upon thousands of other nationalities on the roadside at the TdF.

  • @maureenOWW im suprised ther wasnt more security

  • @maureenOWW

Most of these audiance people running with the bikes are spanish, the French mostly behave well ;)

  • @maureenOWW damn right man. They shouldn't even have those guys waving stupid flags around. It should be like golfing... Just watch dont get in the way. Stay back. Wow you can see like everyone on the bike track... Thats a lot of interference

  • i like his time trial ability

  • LOL "scared the hell out of me" ...

  • I dont care what anyone says Lance is a Legend!!

  • @Steveoqotsa Why would you wish cancer upon anyone?

  • @johnforell Anyone who disrespects a person by calling them a "nutless douchbag" deserves it i reckon.....

  • @Steveoqotsa i hope u get cancer u stupid idiot

  • @Tedytza "lance is a nuttless fag. hes a douche. if anyone respects him, then you can go to hell.".....that was the comment i replied to that has been marked as spam....therefore as far as im concerned the guy who posted that comment can fuck off & die...problem with that??

  • @Tedytza Fuck you. How fucking dare you. I dont care what someone says to you you think saying shit like that is ok? Fuck you motherfucker ppl like you make me sick

  • says sassy wizard man the biggest badass on all of youtube

  • fjuck you fucking coasuckin g no respect animal

  • why would you say something like that? Lance has been an inspiration to everyone not only to fight and survive cancer, but also has shown us how lots of hard work and determination can accomplish the impossible. Lance is a great man.

  • Jan Ullrich showed incredible sportsmanship i think, kudos to the man!!

  • the superman of cycling.
