But boy, I really don't care"

  • This is one of their best songs I wish they would have released it

  • lol country music rocks :D howdy howdy

  • i love you layne you will ALWAYZ be #1~NOTHING~will ever compare~thankful 2 have been around when it all went down historic era 4 sure.........

  • The Doors vs Black Flag ? :D

  • my dad was a trucker. left home when i was three

  • this song is just so fucking funny and playful and layne's vocals are what takes this funny piece to a whole different level

"I ain't no wimp, I scratch and bite" brilliant! :))

  • 1 ''people' dislike this amazing band???no understand

    AMAZING

  • Just AWESOME

  • Who could dislike this?

  • @ecwmatt there will always be idiots...

  • Layne was the only member in the Glam Band. He ditched them when he met Cantrell at a Small party and decided to form a band together. Layne knew Sean's sister, so they recruited him.

  • I AIN'T NO QUEER GO FUCK A STEER...LOL layne has inspired me in so many ways with his vocals.... rip my friend you were taken way to soon

  • wow i can't believe you guys are argueing over who met who and when and how...he's dead and it sucks get over stupid arguements and listen to the kick ass song

  • This is one of my favorite "b" sides. The varying all well put together styles are great and I'd love to be among those who saw them live....

  • "I drink too much, I smoke too much. I'm a human waste." My life motto baby.

  • love this one! great!

  • man this is good quality!!

  • I love this song :-)

  • I've just heard "I Hate You" from The Monks...it reminds me a lot of this song...

  • This songs is jacked up, pretty funny. You should enjoy it instead of acting like a bunch of jagoffs arguing with one another online.

  • 4:00

    FUCK YOU!!!!!!!

  • I agree, I'm about ready to throw some rotten apples. Fuck willam for thinking he's Layne

  • Dude I SERIOUSlY agree!! William Duvall? They should have at least changed the name AIC to something else, its not AIC without Layne. Its just not.

  • well considering Jerry wrote most of the music and about half of the lyrics, i think he has every right to continue the band

have you even listened to the new album?

it's incredible, give it a chance, and iv seen them live, beat the hell out of anything modern, and Duvall isdoes an awesome job

its like the old music critics who would criticise Soundgarden for not being Led Zeppelin, or Pearl Jam for not being Nirvana, its fucking stupid

  • Yes, actually, I've seen them live too...just about a month ago. I can honestly say I dont like Duvall. and I have listened to every song on the new album and the only thing of AIC I notice is a few similar guitar riffs, and jerry's voice. Its NOT AIC without Layne's imput. The sound is COMPLETELY different. But whatever, different opinions is what makes the world go round.

  • its not about whats right anymore, its done. The band is continuing with or without any of thier say. Hey if they dont like to agree then let them be. Alice in Chains is here wether anyone says they shouldnt. snuff it or luv it

  • So, cowboy, if you're looking to fight

I ain't no wimp. I SCRATCH AND BITE."

    Haha, a quotable lyric.

  • They used to perform this song when the band was called Diamond Lie. later they changed their name to Alice in Chains....

  • FINALLY the version i heard more than 10 years ago on the eagle since i'm in dfw.....awesome.....rip layne...love you bro

  • if u respect him him u should learn to spell his name right bro

  • thx puke guess i better study em like a book huh

  • cantrell was in the band since the 87 and that was when the band started

  • this song was on one of there documentarys with cantrell so i think he was there when it was made

  • is a cover ??

  • thats correct

idk wtf u got so many thumbs down for it

    fucking wankers

  • Cowboy if your lookin for lovin........

  • Hank Williams influence ?

  • my daddy was a trucker...left me home when i was three..... :D

  • i aint no queer go fuck a steer !!!!! :D :D

  • Me either!!!!

  • holy shit this is totally different from any other stuff i've heard from AIC...it's nothing like the stuff on their albums, and it's not like their other stuff from their pre-album days when they were more glamish...it almost borders on thrash at points, they really could do it all

  • my favorite band...always will be

  • Me too! I <3 AIC...forever

  • Weird cause AiC is the opposite of glam, but i know what u meen. Grunge is the opposite!

  • the original Alice N' Chainz were glam

as were Layne's previous band Sleeze

he also drummed for a few glam bands

  • Glam? Are you kidding? They were grunge! And I dont know about anything called sleeze...but he WAS in a band called Mad Season...

  • no, mad season were a supergroup alt rock side project featuring layne as well as members of the screaming trees and pearl jam, that started one all these bands already had popularity.

Layne was involved in the glam scene before he met Jerry, and yes they changed to a different style of music, but kept a variation of the name of laynes previous band and glam influence can be heard throughout Facelift. Also AiC were never grunge, that was only a media label for most seatle bands at the time

  • he was in a band called Mad Season during Alice In Chains! He started off in a glam band it was pretty much a stab towards glam bands..... Came up wit the name Alice N Chains were gonna be a glam band dressed in drag.

  • they were never glam!!

They originally took the PISS out of glam. It was anti-glam!

  • actually the ORIGINAL" Alice in chains was actually a band called "Diamond Lie" and was headed by Jerry cantrell(vox/guitarist), Sean Kinney(percussionist), and Mike Starr(bassist) which if im not mistaken makes up 3/4ths of the "ORIGINAL" Alice IN Chains. look into it....

  • im talkin bout Lanye's old band, he's the one who brought the name

  • But Alice N Chains was a band Layne was in (Queen Of The Rodeo) days! "Diamond Lie" was Cantrell I don't believe sean or mike were in that band! The first time Starr was in a band with Cantrell they were called "Gypsy Rose" they both got kicked out though b/c their gear sucked!

  • Alice N Chains was a band that dressed in drag and played speed metal. It was started by Layne. Diamond Lie was a funk band that Jerry started, and Mike and Sean were in it. Layne was asked to join the band after some time, and soon enough, they took the name Alice In Chains. Your welcome mate.

  • they didn't play speed metal! They were a glam band....

  • "Following the demise of his band Sleeze in 1986, vocalist Layne Staley formed Alice N' Chainz, a band which he said "dressed in drag and played speed metal".["

Okay, there is the quote from wikipedia, and thats 100% the truth, Im right, your wrong.

Jeeze, trying to come in here and think you know AIC.

  • I'll take it that you never been in college? B/c the first thing your teacher tells you when doing "research" is to not use wiki b/c it's not always right!

  • Wikipedia is a reliable source to certain topics. Some topics like the following(countries, Presidents, companies, Ect.)

But when it comes to certain info as to a band, its most likely right because I highly doubt someone will change it.

Until you show me some decent info pertaining to the knowledge that you have for believing that Alice N Chains was a 80's band that dressed in drag and played "Glam" metal, Ill stick with what I believe.

  • wikipedia goes the hardest

  • EXCUSE ME but wikipedia is 100% the truth huh? wow! you do know that you're a douche nozzle don't you? "Alice N' Chainz soon disbanded and Staley joined a funk band who at the time also required a guitarist. Staley asked Cantrell to join as a sideman. Cantrell agreed on condition that Staley join Cantrell's band Diamond Lie, which at the time included drummer Sean Kinney and bassist Mike Starr. Eventually the funk project broke up and in 1987 Staley joined Cantrell on a full-time basis."

  • Reffer to my reply to your comment below but to quote wikipedia agian since you believe wikipedia to be 100% true Diamond Lie WAS NOT a "funk" band. Layne was in a funk band "project" after Alice N' Chains broke up and this funk band needed a guitarist at the time as well so Cantrell promised to play for this funk band on the condition that Staley come sing for Diamond Lie.

    Thank you... mate???

  • Sean Kinney and Mike Starr was both in Diamond lie and had not met Layne untill Cantrell introduced them all at their firs practice together... sorry bud

  • The only reason Jerry met Sean was b/c of Layne! Layne, gave jerry Sean's number (really was Mike Starrs sisters number). They didn't have a name Jerry and them used Diamond lie and bunch of other names... Diamond lie was something jerry had before moving back to seattle! Don't tell me shit brick

  • You are almost right. Diamond Lie had just Layne and Jerry. Sean Kinney met them along with Alice in Chains's first bassist Mike Starr at the "Music Bank" in Seattle, Wash. It was a place to meet other musicians and to practice and what have you.

  • im a fag

  • but you ain't a queer so you be da mán
