it is actually a poem by Frederick battaille, French author of the 19th century.
Apparently, it was learned and sung in many schools of African countries that were colonized and influenced by France. Here we have just an interpretation, but it does not exist a commercial version for the public. Hope i helped you, and sorry for the bad news, but you can always sing it yourself ;)
I have found the Lyrics Premier couplet Connais-tu mon beau village Qui se mire au clair de leau ? Encadré sous le feuillage On dirait un nid doiseau. Ma maison parmi lombrage Me sourit comme un berceau. Connais-tu mon beau village Qui se mire au clair ruisseau ? but i dont know if they are the same? I would love to know where its from!
The Skins site says that this is a cover of "Cast - Mon Beaux Village" but I can't find it anyway. Grammatically it should be "Mon Beau Village" so I searched for that too, but still couldn't find it. I'd appreciate any more info, because she's not singing the exact lyrics I've found either, and I can't find her version online.
We can hear the Mac sound "pop !" at 0:36.

ok, correct lyrics are these
Connais-tu mon beau village
Qui s'étend au clair ruisseau
Encadré dans les feuillages
On dirait un nid d'oiseau
Ma maison dans les beaux paysages du Congo.
Just a few changes from the original lyrics posted on this vid

The first paragraph of "Mon Beau Village" by Frédéric Bataille.
"Connais-tu mon beau village,
Qui se mire au fond du ruisseau?
Encadré dans le feuillage,
On dirait un nid d'oiseau
Ma maison parmi l'ombrage,
Me sourit comme un berceau,
Connais-tu mon beau village,
Qui se mire au clair du ruisseau?"

It sounds like a cover of Diembering by Metzo Djatah but the lyrics aren't exactly the same...

@felixj5000 I'm french and it's not the lyrics of this video ! The singer has a really bad accent but lyrics are :
Connais-tu mon beau village qui s'étend au clair ruisseau
Encadré dans les feuillages
On dirait un nid d'oiseau
Encadré dans les feuillages
On dirait un nid d'oiseau
Ma maison dans les beaux paysages du Congo
;) xx

@felixj5000 Nop, they're not exactly the same (I'm French so...) Here's what she says :
Connais-tu mon beau village
Qui s'étend au clair de l'eau (not sure for that one cause I have a hard time understanding her accent...)
Encadré dans les feuillages
On dirait un nid d'oiseau (she says those ones twice during the last verse)
Ma maison dans les beaux paysages du Congo.

@steampunkfangbanger do you know my pretty village who extends to the clemenceau??
Locked by foliages, it looks like a bird nest.
My home in the pretty landscapes of Congo.
(i don't speak english, so i think not all is good, but i hope it is ^^. anyway, hope you've understood my translation ^^)

I looked for that too. It said I could buy it on itunes but I could not find it anywhere

@lucky0045 you are aware that "Cast" is not a band, right?
phlr23 1 year ago
@phlr23 Of course I am, that's why I put it in quotation marks... I was pointing out how unhelpful the description of it was.
Has anyone found the song yet?
