One thing I didn't like about Rodimus in this show was his voice. It's too deep compared to his original voice; Judd Nelson. As I remember, Judd Nelson sounded pretty youthful back 1986 with the release of the original movie. Unfortunately, Nelson has lost his touch now after all this time. Of course I strongly regret saying that as he's one of my favorite celebrities. But it's a different time now and things are just not the same as they used to be.

I know that. But seriously, even though that's the case in this series, it was Sentinel Prime who was Optimus's predessesor. Not Rodimus. Rodimus came after Optimus. But then I'm forgetting; this isn't G1, this is Energon. And things are completely different here.

I think that Rodimus wasn't the leader, altought he lead some autobots out from Cybertron in this Energon story... he was just a autobot who decided to find a new planet to call home.

Optimus was still the leader.

I admit that I never liked this show very much. But I have to admit that after seeing what they did to Rodimus in TFA, it's clear to say that this show did him more justice than TFA ever did. Here, he gets more character development and he was more important in this show. In TFA, Rodimus is only seen for a brief few minutes before his untimely demise at the hands of Oilslick. The least I can hope for would be that Rodimus would recieve better treatment elsewhere.

I couldn't deal with the cell shaded transformers series, for me when transformers is concerned, it's 2D animation or nothing. Unless, of course, you're talking about Beast Wars. As for the decepticons goofing around like tards you gotta remember that the series that happens in are targeted towards a japanese audience and thus different from what an american audience expects. When it comes to dubbing a show for kids the writers are literally forced to add new jokes so the kids can like it more.

Yeah, the voice cast always bugged me, like, why do the transformers sound like they dont know how to talk to each other. In fact, that may be the case, sometimes in recording sessions, the voice actors do solo recordings without hearing the previous recordings of other actors. Thats probably the reason why the dialogue sounds the way it does, this is due to low budget recording, so as few sessions they have, the better.
