  • I recommend to who uses weak weapon an kilij, upgrade it and an steel shield or the purple flame shield, a light armor.

when the false king does that light in his sword to make his blow you just hit him, he will cancel the attack.

level up on 5-3 in that storm king place, use the sword storm ruler, you will farm souls easily here

  • I haven't tried it, but it looks like a crossbow would be really effective in this fight because you can use it with a shield, even though it's damage isn't too great.

  • I see on the demon souls wiki that he have a fucking SOULSUCKER skill that steal one soul level from ya

  • @TheViciousGamer1 That's right he took like 4 levels from me lol

  • old king would rape gwyn.

  • Old King Allant VS, Gwyn, Lord Of Cinder.

  • @Zaccarato At least Gwyn you can parry-riposte. Allant just effs you up unless you have things like Total Protection, Second Chance, or other buffers.

  • One would think that he could heal himself with the energy it takes to become a nuke every two minutes. I know, I know...gotta make it beatable for the nooblets.

  • took a year and a half to beat. depressing now that im done

  • i also used soul arrows to take that prick down talk about going the hard way

  • i beat this game..... with a high int mage, talk about rolls and second chances he would kill me in two hits..... lol i didnt know about total protection.... and i perfected the rolls against his combo strategy after dieing at least 20 times but i did beat it

  • if u can beat this game u can beat anything

  • Demon's Souls is so much better than Dark Souls.

  • magic kills him very fast just as he is the first boss , for example him by using flame storm that will do some good ! HE is EXTRA effective

  • its easy to kill false king alllant if you use magic because very strong meele will be useless magic kills him very fast just as he is the first boss , for example peopole kill him by using flame storm that will do some good ! HE is EXTRA effective

  • Blue Sasquatsh vs White Emo King round 1.

    FIGHT!

  • I don't know what is it is but the bosses with the reputation of being the hardest are relatively easy IMO (Flamelurker, Maneater, Old King Allant) and the easier bosses i find the hardest (for example Dirty Colossus).

I equipped the thief's ring and kept my distance. Every time he does the rushing attack i rolled away at the last moment and stabbed him once, saving stamina to roll away immediately. It took me 3 tries and 10 minutes in the final attempt and it was epic!

  • @LoekSijbers I stumbled upon a weird glitch with Flamelurker (he got caught on some debris by the exit fog gate) where I just shot arrows till he died. Maneater came as a surprise (I didn't know I was walking right into a boss fight, happened again with Leechmonger) but he was really easy. Just roll and hack at his tail. Dirty Colossus is also really easy. Using my dragon LS I just charged right away, got behind him and when he attacked rolled to stay behind him. Demon's Souls isn't THAT hard.

  • @LoekSijbers Dirty colossus dies in 3 seconds with a desent weapong and a black turpentine. Old king is actually an easy fight if you are agresive in my opinion, i didnt even block against him. In my opinion flamelurker is the hardest fight because he is really agresive and has alot of hp, still purple dragon shield (or whatever its called) and its an easy fight, but still the hardest in the game.

  • i miss you RE4Freak :( at least we have EpicNameBro for dark souls but you saved my ass a lotta times in DeS. hope life is good and thanks as always for getting me through this amazing game :)

  • Is it bad if I beaten Old King Allant on my first try? o.o

  • @gawayno i did it to when i beat demons souls, his attacks arent that hard to dodge/blocke.

  • so easy

  • if anyone need help with any thing just add me LoneRangerKill and soul level is 110, i also need he with this guy so plz help me too.

  • this guy is basically demon souls' last boss.....so fucking hard to kill

  • Rofl, imagine fighting this guy AND Gwyn lord of cinder at the same time

Fuck that shit, id quit as soon as I got the the room

  • The king kinda reminds me of devil may cry 4 that dude who is the brother of that chick and he captain of the white knights but fights like virgil...... lol

  • Comment removed

  • just roll a couple times and use homing soul arrow

  • What shield is he using?

  • @Switzer2007 Looks like the brushwood shield to me though I could be wrong

  • I feel your pain uploader, I didn't have crazy stats or weapons. The fight took so long and he removed so many of my soul levels I couldn't even roll out of the way. Had to remove my amour to even fight him. Satisfying as hell when he went down. :)

  • ahh memory's.... :-)

  • When I first saw him i thought "Pfft, i can take this pussy." I then was found taking a cold shower for a good few hours...

  • CHEAP TACTIC:

1-Equip thief ring and light armor in soul form ( no noise )

    2-Enter the fog

3-Make his life bar appear by walking a little

4-Wait until he is turned back

5-Walk slowly to get in the range of the poison cloud

6-Cast it and when it wears off cast an other

RESULT: You will see his life bar drain little by little (It takes about 5 mins to kill him)

PS. I had the time to make Kraft Dinner during the draining

  • @dk64bestfan thats lame.

  • @llordkayne yeah i know in my NG+ i will beat it with another tactic :D

  • @dk64bestfan I mean at least beat it with party members, even that way proposes fun.

  • @dk64bestfan its my first playthrough of Demon souls, N i keep dieing, i will give this method a go, thnks in advance....

  • @azzar1234 same bro im dieng the whole time -.-

  • I've beat all bosses the first time except for Flamelurker, Adjudicator (lol) and Maiden Astraea. But those 3 took me 2 attempts (3 for the Adjudicator). Not that bad. I guess i'm a decent gamer.

  • @fromagelatin8 cool

  • dear lord i am having a shitty time with this boss

  • The King fights like Inuyasha. I kept imagining him yelling "wind scar", "backlash wave", etc. throughout the fight. I know it's just me though. :0)

  • If you ask me, Old King Allant is the REAL final boss, while the Old One is simply a push over that you can easily kill.

  • defeated him last night, dual katanas, no shield, sl 72, only warding from time to time

  • its a good thing i didint go all the way back to get warding out. it wouldnt have helped me. do this with 9 vitality, and a physical defense of 160. welcome to demons souls. i had no shield, dual wielded insanity catalyst, and kris blade +5 (did around 14k damage if all my homing soul arrows hit (26 magic)). ONE hit. any attack. this was hell for me, but i only needed 3 casts of homing soul arrow to kill him. even then. not getting hit by this guy is a pain.

  • Limiting health and mana items isn't making Dark Souls as fundamentally "harder" as some of you are claiming. This game was all about managing stamina memorizing enemy attack patterns, and I'm getting that sense from what I'm seeing of it's successor.

Outside of health-gorging and pvp, health items/heavy defense are usually useless when a boss can tear down 75-85% of your health in a single hit. Being able to avoid the hit altogether is more important.

  • After I take away 1/4 of his life he goes hulk on me and starts spamming his blade move that goes through the air. If i survive than he starts lunging at me and slashing like a crazy person.

  • Damn. I was going to use this strategy, but I used the Tower Knight's Demon Soul. >_<

  • The first time I played this part, I didn't die, I beated this boss in like 5 minutes... but the second time was horrible, I tried it with friends online like 10 times and they and me died all times, It was damn impossible. When I finally could defeat him, it took me 56 minutes.

    My mother="THE DINNER IS DONE"

Me="STFU THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TIME OF MY LIFE, THERE'S NO TIME FOR FOOD"

  • to all those fans are cheap tactis like Death/Poison Cloud I'm proud to tell you that in the next game, that is not gonna work, you will need skill like everyone else to beat Dark Souls, no more infinite magic via Old Spices/fresh Spices for you ;) just a fixed number of uses each time, let's see if you can still beat the game that way ;)

  • @Warriorkiller666

well, truth be told, if demon's souls had employed the same gameplay mechanism that's used in dark souls, video poster wouldn't stand a chance at all, cuz his healing flasks would be hard-capped... and the majority of the melee fighters woudn't make it pass this stage either... Irregardless of what tactics u use (legitimate or cheesing) , darks souls is much more tougher.

  • @melvinthedeathless well Dark Soul is tougher yeah, but I suppose they take into account the limited healing flask when they design it (they can't expect to evade EVERY single attack to keep all the flask for the boss) but I was only talking about those saying'' hey this boss is easy, just put thief ring bring lik 600 arrows and don't move when you enter shoot his head and voila... video poster actually beat him legitimelly and that fine...

  • @Warriorkiller666 i welcome the embrace of an even harder magical system. I know nothing about the game, so how does magic work? i doubt its X uses per playthrough, like you make it out to seem. will the visit to the nexus, or whatever dark souls has, replenish your uses? Also, at least i cant use the same swing my sword tactic on EVERY enemy. my knight friend breezes through the game. i can one shot most things, but i can also BE one shotted by most things. 9 vitality 160 physical def.

  • @Zlykin the visit of ''bonfire'' will replenish magic uses and healing item uses (there is no Nexus, its one open world)

  • Do you see King Allant wicked-ass moves?? When leveling up, I don't want just my health, magic, & stamina bars to widen, I want to be able to fight like that motherfucker. I mean, the wind blast, growl, levitation, fast glide, air wings an' all. Dark Souls should give us, at least, that.

  • probably the hardest boss fight i ever had

  • this guy is a douche. can't believe he actually sucks the levels out of you lol.

  • after dying 15-20 times on him with my heavy armor I took your advice and threw on light gear. Killed him on first attempt with it, thanks a ton RE4, you're the best.

  • i hope theres bosses like this in dark souls

  • anyone still play if so add me on PSN: Flarenmare while onlines still up? : 3 and I plan to play Dark souls so for that too yeah? xD

  • @YoungBoiRhythM i still play the game, PSN name: TheLastOnimusha

  • I just fought this guy today. One important thing to note is NEVER ATTEMPT TO CHAIN A COMBO IN FRONT OF HIM. There is a huge chance that he will do a counter attack that will drain one soul level from you forever, and even possibly kill you with a low vitality build. I lost 2 soul levels in my fight with him because of that. Just hit him once or twice then roll away as fast as you can, you should be safe.

  • beating this game was the greatest thing i have ever done in my life

  • @lordshampoo Its the most satisfying thing ever :P And then you start NG+...

  • @lordshampoo

    After sex of course!

  • @lordshampoo - well done but at the same time, I sure hope not lol

  • King Allant can take down Sephiroth with ease lol

  • @Diamonddeath Maybe lol

  • @Diamonddeath ofcourse he can, just look at that beard!!

  • @Diamonddeath lol you wish xd but impresive nonethe less

  • @Diamonddeath Nah Sephiroth outclasses allant.

  • @Diamonddeath The Penetrator, taught Sephiroth his moves!

  • @Diamonddeath No way man, Sephiroth is unbeatable unless your name is Cloud.

  • @LeeJody Or Sora

  • want a way to kill this guy without having to move once (literally) and take NO damage?!?! well then i'll tell you. get a Sticky Comp Long +5 (farm spider stone if you have to) and 750 heavy arrows (took me about 150 to kill him but giving your probably guna miss a bunch of times) and as soon as you enter the fog DONT MOVE!!! his health bar wont come up on the bottom and he wont attack. aim for his head and shoot away. once you find a place where it hits DO|NT MOVE YOUR AIM!! took me 1.5 min >_>

  • When you fight this boss, stay really far from him. Just wait till he charges at you, dodge it, and star landing blows. When your out of stamina, go to the other end of the stage , and repeat. It should be pretty easy from there. Make sure to wear light armor and use warding just in case you get hit.

  • why the hell are you equped thief's ring?

  • Remember when you barely beat king allant then stock up on 300 arrows and incredibly strong armor to FACE a magicarp seriously i consider false king allant to be the real final boss.

  • Remember, when he uses that fucking soul-suck thingy (when he raises his hand, it starts glowing, and he grabs after you) he STEALS one soul level from you! He steal a random stat and a level from you, so AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Luckily, his attacks are very predictable, and easily dodged, like with the Penetrator.

  • @jokkepokke95 Not until you get to new game ++

  • oh you forgot his bad fucking frustrating soulsucker attack in your description ^^ first time i fought him he used it 3 times on me <_< still havent beat him ^^ but maaaan he first farmed me just to finally kill me ..... pretty charming isn't it ?

  • is this game hard?

  • @muscoMOBx563 You'll be yelling and smashing controllers a lot. Though its harder during the beginning when you're still trying to figure out everything.

  • @muscoMOBx563 depends on ur tolerance for bullshit in a video game. lol. i just beat this boss AND the game earlier today. its relatively difficult until u learn strategies, then its just a small challenege. overall 8.5-9/10

  • @muscoMOBx563 oh yes, indeed!

  • Looks hard compared to all the noob bosses my friend destroyed with his character for me lol.

  • the shit thing is, when he kills u, u must do all the way to him again. I hate this, because sometimes i die on my way to him ;). I Havn't defeatet him yet, so i should try again^^ Because he is pretty easy when u know what to do^^

  • @TechnoExtrem

That's right :-) He isn't too hard, you just have to be extremely careful and be absolutely passive. Only attack after being attacked by him, that's how I defeated him. I beat him 3 times until now (NG+++).

But what I don't understand: Why does everybody keep rolling away when he prepares his "bomb" or "explosion"? Just look after your stamina, run to him, attack and immediately roll away. Like this you get him down pretty easily :-)

  • @mischa1981

the first time, as he prepared his bomb, i was a few steps away and i thought: "What is he doing right now, lets watch that", and the explosion rolled over me ;). Yeah, everbody runs away when he prepares the bomb, just attack him^^. NG+++? OMG^^ Maneater was the shittiest thing, until now the King^^

  • @TechnoExtrem

Believe me, it's only getting harder, but I think Old King Allant is the hardest enemy so far, followed by the maneaters. But they are only so f***ing hard because you don't have too much space to dodge.

If you finish DS for the first time, you start in New Game+, all the enemies are now 40% harder and every following NG (+, ++, +++,etc) +8%.

But don't forget: If you finish make the end game and you restart on NG+ you cannot spend your souls. You first must defeat Phalanx again ^^

  • well if you are in strugle with this buss just use secound chance

  • completed him on my first try thanks to this vid. Thank you.

This video showed me his pattern and when to dodge and strike.

  • so what happens when you have heavy armor, your not a mage, and you have the biggest sword in the game?...

  • I had almost the same strategy, light armor, roll evade constantly, spear. The only thing I did differently was when he's doing the downward sword/outward blast thing, you can interrupt this before he thrusts downward. Hit him with a strong attack here and roll back immediately.

  • unfair with invincibility rolls...

  • this boss was fuckin nasty

  • what kind of shield does this guy have?

  • Comment removed

  • @ussermax brushwood

  • i like your video and your tactics. just skills, a bit of luck and the will to do it!

  • also when he charges up to an super attack blast...you will interrupt him by hitting him once.

  • bramb up in this bitch!

  • i beat him with dragon sword +5 and soul level 52 but he was pretty hard

  • finally I beat his ass, soul level 72, second chance, winged spear+8, dark silver shield+2, 23 full moon grass, great strength ring and saint robe for high mobility(Soldier class)

the only tip I can come up with (for soldier/knight classes)is that you MUST equip light "armor"(chest) and herculean ring . I even didn´t used total protection, since i spend all the first bosses souls on upgrades :p (I didn´t know that you could buy abilities with them.)

  • @gomezgomas I would recommend the Eternal Warrior's Ring. But then again, i relied on my rolling skills to get through this guy. His soulsucker attack made me cry. I was at level 82 :(

  • The explosion attack in which he takes an hour to channel leaves him vulnerable - it can be interrupted, so if you're close enough at the beginning of his channeling, you can get some extra hits in.

  • Just beat this monster for the first time with this set up, dragon bone crusher + Large brushwood shield and the full black leather armor set.

Seems strange i know, but it works really well.

  • Warding, the choice of the bitches.

  • This is the 666th comment >;D

  • Here's a tip for everyone: If he soulsucks you, and you need to gain soul levels quick, get the sword of storms and go to the Stormking's archstone. Kill all of the storm beasts there (which should be easy with the sword of storms). After doing that 2-3 times you should have enough souls to level up.

  • Just beat his ass, level 86, Dragon Bone Sword + 3, Dark Silver Shield + 5 and leather armour, dodge attack then swing then retreat, leave a gap of about 20 ft so hes more likely to do the Explosion, then run in, one smack then get back, easy. It was actually easy and I've been dying loads on this guy.

  • Got this fuckers health down to a minuscule amount and then just as I think I have him beaten he catches me with his area effect attack... One hit, dead. SHIT! That was my 4th time trying to beat him so I just said fuck it and used the poison cloud and thief ring strategy. Just started NG+ and i'm going to melee the shit out of him this time!

  • I'm a knight and I can't beat this motherfucker! What should I do??

  • @DarkAvengerHoly

What's your souls level/stats? What weapons/armor/rings you use? I can help you out :)

    send me a message

  • @MrJohnnnyboy34 I need a lot of help with this, would you mind helpin me?

  • @ColdplayKid112

Sure...you want helped as in: guide to kill him or co-op/blue phantom thing? I wish I can show you how to kill him straight up with just a sword/shield/soul level <100 and no magic, but i dont have those hd recorder thingy.

  • @MrJohnnnyboy34 Kinda both, if you can add me and help me out that would be great. If you can't, I just need to know a strategy to beat him :\

  • What soul level were you and what were ur stats?

  • Youre good...you killed him head on without using cheap tactics like poison cloud.

His weakness is his attack pattern. He's easy to read. Just bring lots of healing items and learn how to dodge.

Surprisingly I killed him my first try!!! My soul level was 95. I used Magic Sword Makoto (no upgrade) with regeneration ring and light armor. I used no magic.

Old King Doran is the hardest boss in the game -____-"

  • @MrJohnnnyboy34 you're lucky, first time I went to fight him I was Soul Lvl 91 and when he did kill me I was soul lvl 81... I retried and when I stopped trying to fight him I was 77... the thing is at first I stayed close to him and when he did SoulSucker I tried to block it but blocking dosen't work, so he Soulsuck me anyway, after immidiatly after I get bac up I took a healing item because I was nearly dead and then he soulsuck me again right after the healing finish before I coulld move..

  • @Warriorkiller666

LOL that sucks losing that much soul level...but to be honest, the magic sword makoto help me out since it was very long/very fast. I was able to dodge his soulsucker everytime lol.

I also had pure black character tendency (lowered health)...I was a moron and killed all the vendors/NPCs to get the foe's ring...forgot I had the blue dragon/false king left!!! I thought I screwed myself LOL

    I'm trying to platinum..at 55% as of now -_____-

  • @MrJohnnnyboy34 at first I came wearing Bruswood but after a couple of SoulSucks ( he stoled only End and Str the only stats i really cared about XD) I didn't have the equip burden to wear it so I couldn't even roll or run, that almost cost me my life I just had the time to take everything off before he was on me again XD good luck with the platinum ;) do you have a Pure Bladestone?

  • @Warriorkiller666

LOL Biorr's armor looks awesome (the strongest armor), but yea its too heavy. Try Garl Vinland's armor/shield...the second best armor...and it looks really cool!!! And no I dont have pure bladestone (havent farmed for stones yet). But I heard it was the rarest/hardest stone to get -______-

  • @MrJohnnnyboy34 After I farmed to regain my lost Soul Lvl and I kicked his but on the first try ;)

  • what lvl?

  • Great video quality btw

  • I tried to kill him 5 times. Then I grinded 5 soul-levels, DOUBLE SOULSUCKAH! Then I did another 3 soul-upgrades later, I face 4 soulsucker moves.

    A soul-level now costs 25000 souls. Motherf- I HATE THIS GUY! >:(

  • Finally killed this bastard, had to go back to my roots as an archer! I just stayed out of range and fired light arrows from my white bow.

Just relieved its over. Dark souls next wohahahahahaha

  • 3:56 Ouch

  • Is the Soul Drain permenant???

  • @Zargo42 Yes. Each time he does Soul Drain, your character drops one whole soul level.

  • Huh? Does the start of the music sound like something from one of the Shadow of the Colossus' soundtracks or am I thinking of something else?

  • the only i watched is so i could play jim jones during it with the video muted.

  • Spellsword build plus alot of dodging and firestorm 4 maybe 5 times even at lvl 80 or earlier. the end =)

  • How does it take you 8 mins? Use a dragon Mirdan Hammer + 5, two-handed; roll and hit 2 to 3 times then roll away, if he can't kill you in one hit or one combo then it's safe to spam grasses. Any way good luck

  • Is that a winged spear? How manyy times has it bern upgraded?

  • This guy was a bitch to take down. Of all the bosses he demanded the most precise timing with rolls and attacks. Soulsucked me twice on my first attempt and de-levelled my endurance so I couldn't roll properly any more. Do NOT get greedy with your attacks. Hit him once or twice at the most with your weapon and GTFO of melee range until it's safe to do it again. I returned with a Great Axe and some turpentine and got lucky with a few knockdowns.

  • Homing arrows, light armor, no shield, he goes down fast and you barely take a hit.

  • Does anybody else wish they could use souls for something else? Like as abilites? If anybody has ever played castlevania dawn of sorrow, think of the soul system in that.

  • C an you beat this guy i knight armor i have biorrs armor but cant beat him.

  • @TheLongorm its easier to beat him if you wear lighter armor. evading is really important against this guy.

  • @TheLongorm just use armor that u can roll in or dont use any armor being able to dodge is alot better than the extra defence

  • nube question i know but what do you have to upgrade to use that sheild

  • @FatBaby1998 strength, it says what you need on the item discription

  • realfreak what is your character? what class is it

  • what is the average lev recommended 4 beating this boss on the first play through?

  • @TheSpaceMutt Id say atleast a level 60. and being able to roll quick as well as hitting +150 one handed.

  • @CJCheesey Thanks, that actually just about sums my guy up, lev 60, 150 1 handed etc i think I'll fight him now! thanks!

  • thief ring + poison cloud ftw

  • Do you recommend me using warding and firestorm or firestorm and soul ray? im stuck on killing False King Allant for the second time, could someone help

  • @diossoiio hey ur in my friends list

  • This fucking old man just taught me a lesson. 5 times. And he stole my souls, fuck him i have to find a way to kill him but he keeps killing me with his combo which i can't dodge even if i roll. How do i beat him! how do i beat him! gahhh!!!

  • i meelied him and made him my bitch

  • Is it so hard (as many people say) that its not fun anymore?

  • @ansiiis It's extremely hard, but do-able. And besides, "so hard, it's not fun anymore"? That's crap. If anything, the difficulty makes it more enjoyable!

  • @LightningDonkey Yeah but if game is so hard that you cant even win boss and have to play one boss for 12 times?

  • @ansiiis You can win, you just need skill and patience. It's a different kind of difficult. It's not unfair or cheap. If you die, it was because YOU were careless, not because the AI was unfair. Trust me, it stays fun.

  • I'm level 169 and I can't kill him for crap. can someone help >:!

  • @TheAngelsDecay Just summon a blue phantom. That's what I did when this bastard stole 3 of my soul levels lol.

  • @TheAngelsDecay Get your character and world tendency to pure white. Then equip an armour set, so that you've use up to a MAXIMUM of half of your equip burden, but no more! - this allows for optimum mobility. Use a catalyst and Soul Ray (no close-quarters for you). You need to counter this guy. Roll out of the way of his shots, and counter with a Soul Ray. If you see him charging up, RUN away from him and once he's done, resume fighting. Make sure the ONLY two items you equip are grass and spice

  • @LightningDonkey I already killed him, by summoning a Blue Phantom. Buuuuutttt, I'm gonna do it again on like new game 7-8 or something so I'll try this, it sounds legit! Thank you!

  • @TheAngelsDecay No probs!

  • I beat him at soul level 30... but I also had binded set and two Makoto's +5. Why two? I dunno lol.

  • I just beat him at lvl 58 with the Meat Cleaver and some Sticky White Stuff without any magic. I unequiped everything I had except for my Sword and armor in order to dodge his attacks more easily. My highest stats were: 20 vit, 20 endurance, 28 str. You only need to learn where to dodge and hit him back once then roll away. It's easy. I did need 5 tries to learn his paterns tho.

  • @Thebbeast I forgot to mention that my armor was the hunter set.
