Viet people(Kinh) prefers to wear in red and yellow for almost every important events in life or social activities. It's only natural for Viets to create their flag out of these 2 colours. Read Vietnam Economy before 1975. We were the as equal to South Korea and Japan at that age in time. We were the US in the SOutheast Asia where people immigrate to find jobs and educations in Saigon. And what about the VN National Library near the Independence Palace before 75. It has papers/documents/literatures of all of VN. When the NVA came they destroyed that library and used the paper to smoke. Did anyone restore that one too?
