It's missing the line "Don't let the dark into me" before the one that goes "We killed the angels that warned us of you." Don't know if there's a skip in the video. I have this on DVD, so I'd have to check to see if the skip is in there too.

Yea, it *is* missing that line, but it's quite common for the artists to sing a live version of the song a bit differently.

It stands to reason that fans would often remember the lyrics better than the artists themselves do.

It definitely happens sometimes that the artist forgets part of the lyrics, which, especially if that artist has a large repertoire, is hardly surprising. However, many artists simply choose to perform the song live the way they feel to do so at that particular moment. Unfortunately it's not so easy to tell which of the two happens ;) So I agree with you, one could reason that the fans often remember the lyrics better than the artists ;)
