What's NOT to like? And it's got a brand new 4 player co-op mode! Holy fuck balls! I can't believe people aren't more hyped! This is a HUGELY anticipated game for me, more so than Galaxy 2!! Some of the best possible news Nintendo could EVER give us. EVER.

Ya sure but the gameplay is nothing like in old times. I don't mind better graphics but now it's all about capitalism. Mario in platform has turned into turgid shit, that's why they never released a whole bunch of this sort of Mario games, cuz Nintendo has lost their feeling for classic gameplay... in the 80's it was hot and challenging. Now Mario is for 7 yr olds and you get sick of the cartoonish look. Where's the difficulty anyways? Not interested in space age kiddie bullshit!

is it me, or does yoshi look like his curent design instead of his smw one, he gets his old voice back i see, which i don't mind that he does. one thng that may be questionable is tht if mega/mini mushrooms return, what will happen if u get one whilst on yoshi?

Well Frog, its mostly reminiscent of past 2D platformer Mario games, thats why you see Yoshi as he originally was in Super Mario World. He even gets his old voice back, its great!

Why do I feel Yoshi and Wario deserve to be players 3 & 4, and not two toads? Well, sure you ride yoshi's back, but I just expected more unique characters than Toad. But looks cool.

They should drop the Toad thing and either do a 4 player character set of SMB2 (Peach and Toad) or SMB64DS (Wario and Yoshi). At least, that's my opinion.

Well that takes out the possibility of riding Yoshi, but I kinda see where ur coming from. But Wario wouldn't really fit into the storyline, and Peach is usually captured, which is the whole reason u play the game. :P So the only options I see are Toad, or like different colored clones of Mario and Luigi. I'm happy with this idea though.

None of the levels shown in this trailer is from the DS game. In fact, there's many new enemies and tons of new power-ups. None of them are able to do damage to each other in the trailer, so it's obviously coop and the DS never had that. So, to answer your question it's a mix of both and then some. :)
