These manufactures just dont get it do they? We dont want to pay extra to save money.

  • After a software upgrade I now top off at 70 mph!

  • Thanks for the input Andy,

Actually, I am using the regenerative braking, however I keep slight pressure on the front and rear "normal" brakes with two fingers in case an emergency stop is needed. One of the tips I picked up from the Vectronix owner's forum. My bike must have come with the upgraded firmware, because I do top out over 65 mph before the governor kicks in. Also, a typo at the end, I paid $4600 out the door, not $5600... Thanks again for the input!

  • P.S.2: You're doing regenerative braking wrong. You're still braking using both hand brakes. The proper regenerative braking is done by twisting the throttle, from the neutral position, forward. It's a distinctively different sound from the electric motor. And you can apply different regen braking power by twisting it more or less.

P.S.3: The latest firmware upgrades your bike for speeds up to 110km/h(68mph) :-)

  • 1. A suggestion - while the Vectrix is booting up (needle going from 0 - max - 0), don't hold the throttle handle or you may have a throttle calibration problem. Vectrix is fully ride-by-wire and throttle dead position is calibrated at the boot-up.

    2. Did you know you can stop the bike using regenerative braking and not hand brakes? Just push throttle forward from the neutral position and you will have regenerative braking with electric power going back to the battery.

    P.S: Congratulations!

  • @AndY1ksi Using regenerative braking will extend your range and decrease braking pads' wear. My rear brake pad and disc, after 12.000km done, is as new ;-)
