  • Jerry was 53 when he died. He was one of the great organists and pianists of his time!

  • He was only in his fifties when he passed. A wunnerful artist!.

  • BORN IN MARSHALLTOWN,IOWA 7/26/1911

  • He put out about 4 or 5 albums between 1958-64. I have them transferred to CD.

He was a regular organist on the Lawrence Welk Show from 1955-65 though he actually jouned the band in 1934 in Yankton, SD.

  • Unfortunetly, he passed away in 1965 due to cancer.

  • That's sad to hear, I only discovered him as an independent recording artist when I came across his album earlier this year. Thanks again for the info!

  • Nice post TVcollector71! I Had never seen him perform live before. Do you know what ever happened to him?

  • He tragically succumbed to cancer in 1965. He was replaced by Bob Ralstin.

  • Was he very old? he looked to be a bit on the older side, but he could have just looked that way because of his illness.
