I worked for Vue Cinema in Plymouth when this film came out, this trailer was played on our screens in the foyer for weeks! I really liked the look of this film back then and I thought, judging by this trailer, it would get a lot of interest.
It was in our cinema for just one week and it only took 2 admissions for those 7 days...and that is a shame

The World in Shadow of the Colossus is sad and empty, and the hero in the game is apparently the only inhabitants. This is in fine for figuratively Mans isolated life and the inner struggle with his unbearable sadness.
I saw this movie and... man. I was caught completely off guard. I never knew Adam Sandler could act like that. It was kind of like a Jim Carrey moment. I saw him in an eternal sunshine of a spotless mind and was blown away. I found both their performances to be brilliant.

Just ordered this today. I surprisingly have not seen it yet. Based on his other works, including "Spanglish", Adam Sandler has proven himself to be one hell of a dramatic actor, and I agree with others that he should take on more serious roles. Comedy may be his niche but he has proven that he can do so much more. I seriously can't wait to see this film. Based on most of the comments...and this trailer. Something tells me I'm in for a real treat.

Your mind is type-casting him, it's simply you refusing to suspend disbelief and see the character instead of the actor that is playing him. Adam's comedy is also very cerebrally dark in a lot of ways, and most people are too stupid to even realize it.
I have to say, I became so obsessed with this movie at a certain time in my life that I was gonna go insane. I still love it to pieces but the fact that they brought in 9-11 was a big no-no. It isn't a movie anymore, it's a sob story. I would have loved the movie much much more had the politics stayed out. But what can ya do? So i have seen all of adam sandlers movies and hes my fave actor. I LOVE him in comedies, but he is an amazing actor and needs to take on more roles like this. I love him as a serious actor. I am someone with PTSD. I relate to Charlie in this movie in many ways. This is definitely one of Sandler's greatest works, and it is underrated.

I have to say, I became so obsessed with this movie at a certain time in my life that I was gonna go insane. I still love it to pieces but the fact that they brought in 9-11 was a big no-no. It isn't a movie anymore, it's a sob story. I would have loved the movie much much more had the politics stayed out. But what can ya do? The only role in which I respect Adam Sandler even though he is a filthy Zionist.

So i have seen all of adam sandlers movies and hes my fave actor. I LOVE him in comedies, but he is an amazing actor and needs to take on more roles like this. I love him as a serious actor. He is amazing. I also love this movie I watched it with my friend this winter, and we loved it. And we are only 13. Such a good movie!

Adam sandlers best movie for sure, he should really start focusing on more "serious" movies intead of all the bullshit comedian movies..Its getting old. I mean this move is absolutely fantastic. and he is doing it soooo great, so is Cheadle.
