  • GM is junk....and I used to be a GM guy...there product is just garbage now, and all the bailouts and BS....can't believe I've come to favor Chrysler over GM, but its true....Ford is making the best american cars out there by far.

  • @Turbo05Dodge yea because chrysler builds a quality product give me a break man. Chryslers keep me in buisness. FYI they took bail out money too then got bought out by fiat of all companies. The only way a chrysler could be built worse is if it was owned by VW. Ford refinnaced right before that with the banks so they wouldnt have to be bailed out. Gm and Chrylser paid back every cent. If the gov hadnt bailed them out we would have had how many people out of work over night. that helps us

  • @Turbo05Dodge in addition gm builds a quality product just like ford. Everyone knows you dont buy anything smaller than a v8 for a chevy. If you want a well built 4 or six buy a buick or a caddilac. Chevy could never build a good 4banger or v6. common knowledge. They build solid trucks and full size cars, and camaro/vettes thats it. Their ls series motors are a legend and light years above hemi i mean wedge v8s. If your car is an srt4 then its not even a dodge its an old dsm motor...

  • Well I like both cars but for the price the SS PLUSwith the SS you can tow with it so I bought one...ya stock for stock it's slower but I look way more badass towing a vette wishing you could tow and have my vette...snailblazer over the srt8 beep ( bitch jeep)

  • @BlacKnightRising look at my other videos I ran 13.26@100. We had the same reaction time. SRT8 Jeeps are cool but the TBSS can be just as fast/faster.

  • @BlacKnightRising Do you want me to take a pic of the timeslip? LOL I would of smoked him after I put my stall in. The SS isnt as fast stock but modded it sure as hell can be as fast/faster. Look at the fastest SS compared to the fastest SRT. I only lost by 3tenths get over it

  • @AWDTBSS yea cuz I'm sure it's authentic, even modded u couldn't take the Jeep, u chevy guys are just like obama zombies u can't admit that ur wrong and u continue to deny that u failed, the torque curve on the SRT is greater than the SS and that's why u lost, so u'd have to pay more in mods to take an SRT based on that fact alone, but if it makes u feel better u can tow more than the SRT8 Jeep, but then again u don't by a performance truck cuz ur towin' shit around town

  • @BlacKnightRising My truck went 13.2 after my stall which is 3tenths faster than this guys SRT so whats your point? That and I never ran slower than an SRT at the track after my Stall

  • @AWDTBSS I'm sure in ur dreams it did, u really need to read CAr&Driver mag March 06 issue, the SRT trounces the SS that's just in stock form, a few minor upgrades and u've got a stellar muscle truck performer that nobody can touch, ur SS is a distant 2nd that's just plain and clear and in that video u actually seem to have launched first and the Hemi still ran u down and away, I don't get the point of ur argument ur not faster than the SRT, period.

  • @stylinwiley well the Hemi 6.1 has a proven history of durability and reliablity and the DANA transaxle is downright bullitproof, so my moneys' on the SRT8

  • Having not thoroughly evaluated the HEMI market, and knowing that a built Arrington 7.4L longblock is $15K... and supporting mods are VERY pricey, because just a throttle body is around $600... I wouldn't doubt that the LSx market is larger/cheaper. I've modded quite a few F-Bodies with friends, and I'll say, that stuff's dirt cheap. From what I can see, the parts to build up a Hemi are very expensive.

    But after buying this thing, I'm noticing that modding is EXPENSIVE for this thing.

  • @AutenBrian3 the LSx market is just alot bigger/cheaper for the SS which is why I say its a better platform, but no doubt stock for stock the jeep is faster. SUV's on the bottle is awesome thats for sure lol, but not a fan that the jeep is open rear diff dont see why they did that

  • @jcaled24 I was on stock stall then so yes, hard to make up the difference off the line. But I will have no problem with Jeeps now. The Trailblazer SS is still the better modding platform if you plan to do more then just bolt ons.....

  • @AWDTBSS Yeah, I'm not saying you cant modify one to beat a jeep.... I can modify a civic to beat a jeep. I was just saying stock vs stock the outcome is almost always the same. Also, a cheaper platform and a better platform aren't the same thing....Not saying you can't make an ss fast as hell, but "better" would be a matter of opinion....with a name like "AWDTBSS" I don't think I'll be changing your mind any time soon. lol At the end of the day tho tbss is a bad ass suv, no disrespect.

  • @jcaled24 ya no doubt stock for stock its faster but i was just saying its a better platform becuz the aftermarket is bigger, cheaper, and so far a lot faster when really modding it. But still the jeep is a good platform if you are gonna leave it stock or do bolt ons but ya at the end of the day they are both sick suv's with their pros and cons and turn some serious heads

  • @AWDTBSS how is your built trans? Mine going from 1st to second, won't shift unless I let off. I can't find anyone I can trust to build my trans. Or it's 3 grand from Chevy...=[

  • @Jackson5599 I like it, its a FLT Level 6 with Yank PTB3600 stall. installed with fluids, labor, trans, and stall it was $4400. Expensive but worth it. RPM and FLT are highly recommended on TBSSowners

  • @Jackson5599 i had a supercharged silverado withe the 4l60 and it smoked the trans with only 36k on the clock, did the exact same thing you are talking about. then i lost 3rd and 4th gear the trans shop pulled it apart and it was toast. so you prolly dont have long

  • @AWDTBSS that jeep was off pace. they run better then that. all you need is a 3000 stall to put those jeeps in the rear view. i have a awd tbss with a cai,programmer and thermostat. i also have a 3200 stall,vette servo and trans cooler about to go in sumtime this month. hopin for sum low 13s. if it runs 13.30s im good. it runs 13.80s now. it ran 14.0 with no launch takin off from idle after drivin it all day with no cool down and all my tools in back. lol whats done to your truck?

  • @BLACKLACDTS At the time of this video i had headers, intake, efans, and tune but it was 80*'s so not the best weather for drag racing. But after adding just a FLT LVL6 Trans/Yank PTB3600 stall i have gone 13.2@100 full weight on 91.

    The jeep runs wat almost every other jeep in northern california runs bone stock, 13.3x-13.5. There was another one there that same day only running 13.4 hes there all the time and best i've seen him do was 13.3 and that was in like 200-500DA

  • @AWDTBSS the jeeps here on the east coast usualy run 13.2-13.30s.. any way you must off been in sum bad air there cause you should of run much better then that. my friend runs 13.60s with a ieatsrt intake,160thermo,superchip programmer and gutted cat. did your tranny blow or you just upgrade? anyway a 13.2 is not to shabby for a suv and now you can pick on those pesky jeeps. when i do my stall im goin lookin for a srt8 jeep to spank! it will be the first kill with new parts! lol

  • @BLACKLACDTS it was +1796DA during this run. I just upgraded the trans even tho it was fine. Ya dropping 6tenths isnt bad for just a stall/trans, now with my new tires and rear suspension im expecting 13.0-13.1's I was spinning all 4 last track day still running the same 1/8th mile times even with spinning bad. You'll have no problem with beating a Jeep.

    Hopefully in the mid to high 12s in April I'm getting a cam

  • @AWDTBSS OH YEA IT WILL FLY WITH A CAM. MY TRUCK IS A DAILY DRIVER AND WE HAVE STRICT EMMISIONS. i like the pcm4less stealth cam cause its undetectable but has good power increases and passes emmisions they said. i am lookin to go high 12s low 13s on motor and when i get a trans i will spray it to sum 11s. theres a guy around here with your exact mods and a 150 shot on a awd tbss and runs 11.80s "hint hint" lol and with a cam maybe 11.50s?????

  • @BLACKLACDTS Im in california i dont think anyone is as strict as here but LT1Z on TBSS Owners forum is specing me a cam to pass smog no problem and get me about 40hp this is also my Daily Driver. You'll do high 12s to low 13s for sure on motor, but if not just pull some weight. These trucks do love spray tho Norcal SS has a 125shot and has done 11.7 with cam and bolt ons
