  • another question... you adhere the sides of the bags together still, right?

  • @susi1662 I'm not sure what you mean by adhering the sides of the bags together. I'm trying my best to find some time to do a quick video on how the bags go together but this week has been super busy! :) I will try and do it soon though.

  • @LittlePeaceOfMyHrt I'm sorry for all the questions! I think I figured it out anyway. What I meant was if you adhere the sides of the little flaps to form the pockets. That's what I did anyway, and it made lttle pockets for tags to slip into.

Don't worry about making a video any time soon, it sounds like you have enough on your plate as it is!

    Thanks for replying though! :)

  • Hi!

I've just discovered your videos and I live your work! I am very new to making mini albums and I'm wondering if these paper bag minis are the same modified one that you have a tutorial on? If they are, are the little pockets in between the pages just made out of the paper bag bottoms? Also, how do you form them into little pockets? U see that you have them connected by eyelets at the corners, is that how?

Sorry for all the questions! I just really like the simplicity of this mini and I'd

  • @susi1662 Hi! No, this is not the modified paper bag album style book. If you watch the Mariposa paper bag album video that I put up I explain how I attached the bags together using the short flap. I think it was one or two videos before this one. Please let me know if you have any other questions. :) Laurel

  • @LittlePeaceOfMyHrt Hi again Laurel! I just watched the Mariposa album video, and I see how you constructed the book by adhering the two small flaps. I just want to make sure though, to make the little pocket with thos little flaps, did you just adhere the two short sides, or just hold them together with the eyelets in the corners? I love how that looks by the way! So elegant but simple.

I really like the tag in the little flap pocket, it adds another page to the album!

  • this is really great Laurel

  • I was going to comment about the little book also and the letter. I would love to see a video on how you did that, thanks!

  • Laurel! I didn't think you would reply since that video was an older one. Yes, I would love for you to make a video on that. I watched all your videos and love your creativity. I learn so much from watching you.

Thanks again and I'll be looking for the video!

  • Hi Laurel, What a cute baby book! You showed how you put together that little "baby" book inside but how did you cut the letters on each page? How did you cut the "b" on page 1, cut the "a" on page 2, cut the "b" on page 3 and so on?

  • @kathyyip114 Hi! I created each page as a separate cut on my Gypsy. So, for example, to make the first "b", I used a small rectangle and welded the "b" to the edge of the page. I then copied the rectangle to the second page and increased the width only, by half of an inch and welded the "a" to the edge. If that doesn't make sense, I could probably do a video to explain what I mean. Let me know. :) Laurel

  • This is gorgeous!!

  • Hi there Laurel, hope your Thanksgiving Holiday was an awesome one! I've been trying to figure out which keys to press on the Cricut to get the perfect tag (scallop edge) and I'm getting only the top part but not the length (it cuts it short even though I've set it at 5"). Can you tell me which keys to press for the right width and length (at least 6" long)? Thanks !

  • This is too cute, I'm a first time scrappr so everything is new to me, I'm gona try this!!

  • Hi, Love your mini album and in fact I'm startin on one right at the moment. My question is where can I find the type of closure you used. I believe the elastic can be anything, right? like a regular "ponytail" elastic, etc. Thanks for sharing and look forward to more of your videos. Abi

  • @scrapperabi13 Hi Abi! Yes, the elastic is just a ponytail elastic. The other part of the closure is a Tim Holtz product - I think they're called hitch fasteners. Hope you have fun making your book! Laurel

  • @LittlePeaceOfMyHrt

Hi, OMG! thanks for replyng so quick. I'm heading to the scrapbook store to buy the closures. Thanks a bunch. Oops, one more question, what do you use to give the tabs that beautiful edge? is it a Fiskars punch? Thanks again!

  • @scrapperabi13 Not sure which tabs you're asking about... if you're referring to the large tags that are in the pockets, I cut those on my Cricut. If you were asking about something else, please let me know. :) Laurel

  • @LittlePeaceOfMyHrt Yes, I'm referring to the large tags with the nice scallop edge. I do have the Cricut and will look into getting the cartridge, if available. That shape makes the tags look so nice - like store bought. Thanks Laurel! :-)

  • @scrapperabi13 The tags were cut from the plantin schoolbook cartridge at around 6". :) Hope that helps you.

  • I have been watching your video's and I love your projects !

    Thanks for sharing, Evelyn
