You've seen that guy who plays Pachelbels canon on a glass harp? wouldn't it be awesome if he did the same but with shamisen and then for an example bach little fugue or the choral prelude 'wachtet auf, ruft uns die stimme' (for organ, not the cantate) or something like that. he already has shown us that he has far enough talent for it

i have a question, is tsugaru style a type of playing or the style of the Shamisen? i ask because i'm looking to start playing but the nearest design i can find that "looks" similar to your Shamisen is called Futozao (thick neck) Shamisen, again i ask because i would like to start playing a Shamisen and like the sounds yours produces thank you for your time

@gloamglozer3 Greetings. Well Futozao is the type of Shamisen used for Tsugaru style playing. As you know it means thick neck as opposed to the other (smaller) sized Shamisen. Futozao was origianlly made for puppet theater in order to produce a bigger sound that could travel farther out to a larger audience. But the Tsugaru players all began using the Futozao to express their emotions and now the style of Tsugaru is almost impossible to duplicate on anything but Futozao.
