  • i went with option A.

  • Wait till 2012...Your games will be gone brotha.

  • @nightmuffin937 Don't You Worry.... I already have a large Stateroom for my collection watiing for me on one of those "Big Ships" in the Chinese mountains! The Earthquakes & Tsunamis won't get me or my collection! :-)

  • Did anyone try to break in to steal your stuff yet...?

  • Awesome...just awesome.

  • "Pro Gamer G-Squared"....what a douche!

  • Awesome how you got your collection on TV but that woman announcing was very annoying.

  • i live in texas now i gotta find profesional theif so i can steal his collection

  • Damn that is impressive - it's almost more of a museum than a gameroom. I've thought about putting together a mame cabinet and some pinball machines, but I live in a townhome right now so space is an issue. Oh well, something to think about for the future.

  • what i like about your game collection is that it looks like you have a collection of all of the classic stuff. I wish people, especially kids today, would appreciate gaming back in the 80s/90s. Instead of the millions of fps games on ps3 and xbox360. My room is all Mario. It's not as awesome as yours, but it's getting there lol.

  • thats your collection? 8\

  • Congrats on getting on G4 and more so on following through with what makes you happy! So many people would love to do this and never follow through on it.

It's also great to have people preserving history. It's always terrible to see classic arcade games in a landfill!

I wish I had a bigger room so display my collection and add some arcade cabs. Maybe some day. :)

  • @videogameobsession Thank You for the compliments!! :-) I wish you the very best on getting your own game room started :-) Keep collecting... You'll get there! :-)

  • wow i saw the thread but this shows just how awesome it is! this is very cool and those were some pretty good words of inspiration at the end =]

  • @shadowowolf Thank You very much!! :-)

  • JAW DROP I didn't realize your collection was this big! Was there ever an actual Sonic the Hedgehog arcade? Very awesome, I hope you've got some good security for that building!

  • Hello! Thank You :-) The Sonic arcade game I made myself, The cab was from a Defender I converted. I simply disassembled Genesis controllers and wired them to arcade controls ! I had a special cable made in 1993 for RGB clarity! Security... Definately!! ;-)

  • i want to start a collection of stuff

    you have a great collection

  • Thank You for the compliments! :-)

Collecting is very fun and the thrill of the hunt for an item you want is exciting, except for eBay! ;-) Always check garage sales too, you just might find what you're collecting amongst the junk! Best of luck to you in your collection!

  • no prob and thanks for the tips

  • are you by any chance an astro boy or alien fan with any collectibles if so you should tell me what website i should get it

  • Damn what a room or should I say what a building

  • HOLY Zippity Dippity Batman!!!!!!!! I NEVER SEEN SUCH A COLLECTION IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My Game Room would be mostly Games,I'd just have some Toys in random place's,I really like the stands they have at store in there.

  • so much to say... but not enough words in existance to do so. here i am, a happy 16 year old cuddeling a 90's sonic plushie, but i could never imagine any thing like that. where do collecters get the mony for all this sruff anyway. this guy is nothing short of the luckyest man alive

  • Thank you for your compliments! Most of the collection was bought a little here and there, so a few bucks every few weeks wasn't so bad, Most of the signs, posters and displays were free, just the work of going to stores all over the city and pestering managers to let me have the displays when they were finished with them. Today it would be impossible to start a collection like this due to things like eBay. What I used to find for free is now taken up by store employees and sold online.

  • i understand, a few years ago my dad got me a sonic card-board cut-out cause the store was gonna get rid of it, its a little beat up now after eight years, but i still have it hanging on the wall next to me. you are a true inspiration

  • And here I though Michael Jackson had a killer game room.

  • my room is nothing but Sonic, i paid alot of money to get it customized! ur place is awesome!

  • DAMN! Nice! I love it! I'm sending you a friend request!

BTW, I only have 500 games and 30 consoles. It's alright, but holy crap thats nice. You were on X Play! How much did this all cost?

  • Not as much as you'd think, Most of the signs, posters, displays I got for free over the years when stores remodeled or were through with them. Today there is hardly nothing to get, and if there is anything, it's at GameStop/Crazy, and they won't let you have ANYTHING!

  • Wow! Nice! O.o

And I've gotta get me a pair of those undies. XD

  • HOLY! THATS FRIKIN WILD MAN!

  • That room is epic.

  • I would want Morgan Webb to be my understanding spouse. Yeah. Or Olivia Munn. Yeah.

  • GOSH!!!! I'll just die in a place like that! I absolutely looooove sonic! I never knew sonic even had underwear lol. that place is heaven for me! I would love to see your sonic collection! plus I live in Texas too!!!!

  • Aw, damn. I would come over to the US for the sole purpouse of seeing this game room!

  • is that u and if it is u have a shit loud of sonic stuff well manly games i think?

  • I have lots of Sonic items, as well as all (original) Sonic games, Haven't been to satisfied with current Sonic titles though...

  • Thats a good thing...I would take a dusty and out of place Bart and Homer over a damaged room anyday!

I am gonna be keeping my eyes open for the next local Kmart to go outta business cause I'm jumpin on one of those display cases. I dont have near as much room as you do but my wife has let me turn the garage into a completely carpeted and sealed off room for my cabs and collectibles. One day I hope to have the room you do...Totally amazing. God bless man and Im glad you didnt have any damage!

  • Hey unbelievable room!!

Just checkin to make sure everything is ok still after that hurricane that came through!!

I might have to plan a trip just to come see that room and be inside of it. Words can't even describe that room!

    Take care

  • Hello, Thank you for your concern! :-)

Our house (& the gameroom) received 100+ mph winds for 12 hours! We were VERY LUCKY to get no damage, The only thing that happened is a few simpsonsfigures were knocked off a shelf due to the building being pushed by the hurricane force winds. I really thought for sure the game room would receive damage. I'm very glad to know that it was built very well!! Again, Thank You for your concern! :-)

  • very amazing man!! very amazing!

  • You ever think about getting that stuff insured if it isn't already?

  • hes lucky to have that room

  • Games I want in my gameroom: Strider Final Fight Captain Commando Cobra Command Area 88 Heavy Barrel Rastan A PlayChoice 10 Machine NARC Uhhh, let's see, what else. I'll get back to you
  • Understanding Spouse!!

    Understanding Spouse!!

    Understanding Spouse!!

Ha Ha, just kidding, and fuck me, that is one of a kind in arcade rooms man, Fantastic, two questions,

have any of the discs oxydized (Curroded) yet?

because I'm no collector, but discs don't last forever,

and have thought of getting emulators for your PC?

because you can play hacked games, (Games changed to a hackers desire)?

but anywho, tell your wife she's a lovly lady to let you keep that big collection.

  • Thanks for the compliment!! So far, All my LaserDiscs are fine, No laser rot. I want to make a custom Mame Cabinet, with ALL emulators, but I want to do it right with a large monitor & all controls, but that will be expensive... so I'll have to wait a while.. And I'll definately pass on your nice word to my wife!! Thank You Again!! :-)

  • cool i'll probably stop by if im ever in houston

  • wow! thats amazing i mean i loved sonic ever since i was like three, Sonic was my hero/idol and still is

and this blew my mind u r the Definition Of what a Sonic Fan Should be

and i wish i could see all that amazing stuff

  • Thank You Very Much!! I'll always love Sonic!!

  • how did u get on Xplay? and when was this btw?

  • They saw my post on my gameroom construction, and contacted me for an interview, It was filmed a week before Christmas last year ('07) and aired in February '08

  • okay. thats cool, i wish i could goto ur game room xDDDD u should make a video game museum.

  • If you ever visit the Houston, Tx area, let me know, you're welcome to visit. My collection continues to grow, Maybe one day it will be?? :-)

  • maybe lol, but like Texas is like a day away from where i live! lol

  • understanding spouse, screw master chief underwear and gauntlet.

  • For Sure!! LOL :-)

  • How did you get the spinning glass thing with sonic inside at 3:49, and the other rare stuff?

  • The Sonic Crystal Cube was a limited edition released by Sega for Sonic's 10 Anniversary..I ordered it directly from Japan to make sure I got one.

  • How much did it cost you?

  • Not as much as you'd think... Most of the signs, posters, & displays I got for free, I just went to all the stores on a regular basis and pestered the managers for them.

  • wow, that's awesome!

  • Awesome job on the arcade, dude. How long did it take you to put it all together?

  • 10 Months.. And that included staying up very late on work nights too!

  • only ten?!?!? thats amazing!

  • Wow! Out of Intrest does half of your room have stuff related to the Sonic franchise?

  • Yes, I'm a BIG fan of Sonic! Fell in love with the game instantly back in 1991!

  • Wow! Is does half of your room have Sonic the Hedgehog Stuff

  • Yes! Tons of Sonic Goodies!

  • best backyard/game room iunno what im saying its just fucking sick

  • WHAT is that crystal sonic thing!!!???

  • It is a Sonic Crystal Cube, You've seen these everywhere, images made out of small air bubbles in a crystal cube.

This one was commissioned by Sega for Sonic's 10th Anniversary. I ordered it directly from Japan to make sure I got one!

  • seriously your my idol :)

  • Nice collection. Hats off to you. 5 Stars from me.

  • Thank You Very Much!!! :-)

  • I bet that sure took hard work developing but still you should be put in the Walk of Game just for showing how much you admire games and how many and diverse selection you collected thru the years. I wanna ask ya a question....where did ya get that Sonic shirt! as you can probaly tell im a fan and i tried for years tring to find one but was unsuccessful so far.

  • Hello! Thank You Very Much for the nice comments!!

The Sonic shirt you see me wearing I bought new back in 1994, and I'm so sorry to say is no longer available... Keep an eye out on eBay, they're might be a chance of finding one. (I've seen one once up for bid)

  • wow man ur work payed off i would kill to have 1 of those

  • Dude,you are my Idol

  • Thank You Very Much!!! :-)

  • dude how much money did you spend buying those things?

  • Not as much as you'd think...I bought most of the collectibles over the past 15+ years. Most of the displays I got for free over the years, Just the time & gas to get them, The "half a million" is a insurance relpacement cost, as most of the items are not replaceable.

  • Hello, The Sonic & Tails Statues were special displays for Flagship Toys R Us Stores, I pestered the manager at our local store for them for 5 years! LOL, really I just asked several times could I have them when they are done with them.

  • bro you are the coolest gamer ever. i like how you defend us gamers, we are people just like anybody else except we play video games. is that so wrong.

  • No, It's definately NOT wrong, I remember parents griping over us playing Pac Man back in 1982, Eons before games like GTA/Halo.

So there will always be complainers.. Ignore 'em!!!!

  • is that you yesterdays92?? my goodness you are one heck of a fella when i grow up imma become rich and build a whole gaming world haha im from the Philippines lol.

thats why im so afraid to even try to make a gaming room

  • Hello, I understand what you mean, but you can't live life like that! :-( Don't waste time on "What Ifs" Go for your Game Room & enjoy it!!!! :-)

I do have insurance on everything, but I would be devistated if something happened. Most of the stuff is one of a kind & totally irreplaceable.

  • I ordered it directly from Japan on Sonic The Hedgehog's 10th Anniversary.

  • I remember some strange game merchandise like sonic place mats for partys. Also, Mario napkins. There was some Gameboy shapped bottle that you press buttons and the screen was filled with soap and made some rings float into a stick.

  • Hello, I do have the above mentioned items, I got the birthday stuff in 1994, and the shampoo bottles in 1999 -200X. there were several of Mario & Donkey Kong as well as some for Sonic The Hedgehog, found them at Wal Mart.
