I think it's interesting that MSNBC says the problem was Cenk's style of delivery, when that's what many of us like about him. There's a saying that, "If you're smiling you don't understand the situation." I say, "If you're not angry you don't understand the situation." I like that Cenk gets angry when it's appropriate. When Cenk was on MSNBC, I thought he was a tool. After seeing him on Current and being fair and balanced, I knew he was the real deal and all for Liberal values.

The look on Kurtz' face when he brought up insiders was kind of funny. Cenk was never going to last on that network criticizing the Democrats. What's lost in all the mess is why the Democrats and Obama deserved the criticism in the first place.
I applaud Cenk for standing up for his principles. He was getting muzzled either way though...MSNBC basically demoted him and try to buy him off with a raise.

@Voy2378 Surplus does not mean all debts are paid in full by the US government; cutting taxes decreases the rate at which it is possible to pay off debt. To avoid defaulting on debt a point is reached where entitlement spending needs to be shifted to paying off debt or the tax cuts need to be removed. Since entitlements are paid for by citizens on the basis that they receive a service in return guaranteed to not provide such services is the equivalent of stealing from the citizen that was taxed.

I love Cenk, but I think he blew this way out of proportion. He should have taken the weekend show and did it the way we wanted to do it. David Gregory used to have Cenk's slot and now he does Meet the Press and probably gets paid a lot more.
My guess is that Cenk is misinterpreting things. Maybe they wanted him change his tone, but maybe it wasn't a deal breaker.
