The Republic Gunship doesn't fly in space dipwad...That's only in battlefront because they needed a cargo ship for the rebels and the republic, but that was all they had smartguy.
umm they can its called locking their sliding doors making them airtight same with the bubble lasers on it its used for transporting troops to enemy ship
