Its all correct. Canadians do call walleye pickerel and they are also known as yellow pike. I've had pickerel or chain pickerel, its good... good as pike. I love pike, very tasty. Walleye is fantastic too.. course I love 'gills, perch, and most other varieties... why fight about, go eat some fish.

pickerel are not the same as pike there very different and if you ask me walleye and perch are by far the best eating freshwater fish

i have to disagree i'd have to say northern pike is the best eatin fresh water fish well i guess it all differs between people

He called them a "pickerel", Dave, but they look like Walleye to me. I thought a pickerel was a pike? Whatever they are, they look pretty tasty! :)
