  • But totally useless :D

  • thats jet li xd

  • "But totally useless" lmfao

  • 林正英! 勁! 永遠懷念!

  • ...hmh, the Wing Chun guy in this vid ... doesn't seem to know alot about the art, his WC is just weird.

    Anywho. Great movie.

  • @AlexHostKing

its a movie, they obviously made it more accesible for viewers

  • @AlexHostKing Yep Yep you are learning Wing Chun from some english fat ass and you think you know everything about Wing Chun :)

You have no idea, this is only a movie and they must make it so slow and in exeggerated moves so people would see anything and have entertainment.

Besides there are many braches of Wing Chun. Gu Lo, Wong, Ip Man, Pan Nam, Guandong, Fatshan, Vietnam, Weng Chun, HKD Eng Chun and many many other lineages which differ in forms and philosophy.

  • @AlexHostKing there are so many variations at this point. There's the Hong Kong schools, the German schools, etc. This movie is either from the late 70's or early 80's so wing chun has evolved since then.

  • english dub and subs ? ^^

  • yeah what's the deal with that?

also the subs and dubs have are different even though they're both speaking the same language.

  • whats this movie called

  • The Prodigal Son its awesome and also is like the prelude to the show "wing chun" which has the kid who just got stomped.. but as a dad

  • AWESOME SYNCRO!! xD

  • inspirational wing chun film... love it.

  • My favorite Kung Fu movie of all time and space.

  • I went to learn Wing Chung because of this movie! Both this and Warriors 2 were great. It's probably authentic as it gets for Wing Chun in a movie. After all it's a movie and you have to add some Sammo Hung choreography elements in there to make it entertaining. Warriors 2 was probably more accurate when it came to the forms and training scenes, but Lam Ching Ying was just badass in this movie.

  • How come it's in english yet the subtitles are different but also in english

  • I have switched the audio track from Chinese to English...yes the subtitles are somewhat weired.

  • @stone9kung: No the English dubbing is weird.

  • @paulnnikki - English speaking + subtitles... great observation! FUNNY AS HELL. Not quite Wing Chun... Chinawood version.

  • they talk funny

    however they fight good

  • thanks dude thanks a million

  • does any one know the title of that movie pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssseeeeeee ive been looking for it for long time maaaaaaannnnnnnn

  • The chinese name of this movie is "敗家仔", English name is "the prodigal son".

  • I'm going to have find this movie and pick it up. That short scene was awesome. Who knows how many kung fu movies I've seen that were actually wing chun.

  • Happy holiday.

  • not many. unfortunately. its just to effortless to look good for todays movies. jackie chan does some in rumble in the bronx. i still look for a movie with genuine wing chun. i wish Gary Lam made a damned movie.

  • That is interesting. thanks for your comment.

  • Thanks for posting!

  • You are welcome.

  • Ah - The Prodigal Son, awesome movie. Too many seemingly gay kung fu enthusiasts in it though!

  • That's mostly because the teacher Liang er ti, the Master kicking Yuen Biao's butt plays a female character in the opera he performs in. In old China women were never allowed to act so men played the roles of women too.

  • Absolutely right.

  • Lol it sux what is that stance u cant say it is one of the best even u cant call it movie it sux....It is smth fake that i would even watch again after paying me...

  • This is a classic movie.Anybody interested in Wing Chun should see this movie.

  • This is the best wing chun movie.

  • please, i would like to know the name of this movie

  • the chinese name is "敗家仔", english name is "the prodigal son".

    Thanks for viewing.

  • thanks for your comment.

  • This was based on a true story, only in real life I believe that Leung Jan was really undefeated before he met Leung Yee Tai, who taught him Wing Chun

  • Thanks for your comment.

  • this is a great film.

  • You should see warriors 2, another great wing chun movie

  • what's the "warriors 2" chinese name?

  • Not sure, but look it up on here, you will find it

  • Actually that is the American name as far as I know. I have the movie and I'm pretty sure it says "Warriors 2" in the title in english and chinese.

  • Warriors Two was another wing chun movie on par with this one, but with Sammo Hung. But then who can trust the marketing of movies these days, Bruce Lee movie titles are all mixed up :( I've always seen the Prodigal Son and Warriors Two referred to as those though, in interviews and such.

  • HADOOOOKEN!!!!!!

  • lol! the subtitles are all wrong!!!

  • You are right. I should have clicked away the subtitles, they don't match with the audios, thanks for your comment. have a good day.

  • Happy New Year to you Kennyasalee

  • Guys you talk about its a fake fight, its a fucking movie, get a life.if you guys are so interested in real fighting go to iraq.

  • The Wing Chun guy doesn't have any eyebrows LOL Really funny clip goes to my favs

  • That guy is an actress in the Chinese Opera, probably he has to shave the eyebrows in order to do the make-up when he(she) goes on the stage.

  • Very nice video but masters voice is so funny.

  • the only "fake" in this movie is the pacing....attack, block, attack, block....but thats true in all martial-arts flick, and real Wing Chun practices simultaneous block and attack.

  • I like your comment.

  • thank you!

  • Happy New Year to you Ingjald.

  • Thank you!

  • nice fake fighting

  • Happy New Year to you masterkershaw,

  • I love how the words are in English but they don't quite match with the subtitles.

  • OMG YO XD THATS DAM FUNNY

  • Happy New Year to you whitewolfhead.

  • Wing Chun is the best! No wasted movements, most effective system.

  • Happy New Year to you Krexel.
