  • still solves faster than me :D

  • i gotta get me building one of those!

  • awesome!

  • GLaDOS lives!! And she solves cubes in between portal-games it seems..

  • i dont think it is the leto as stear it. i think you have a program on your pc.

but a nice solver"! :) lol

  • awesome, can you send me the programm via PM ?

  • High five for no lives, oh wait its the internet, he can figure it out

  • erm me confused lol what is the camera on the top 4?

  • @zm4ish At a guess the camera is for the computer to view the cube and work out the starting state of the cube so it can solve it.

  • no we are smarter we dont fart every time we move lol!XD

  • hackers for the win lol

  • omg its smarter than me!!!!!!

  • where you buy up sensor?

  • Awesome, if i had to do it i'd made a machine that would take of all the stickers and paste them again in the right way! Not so into rubiks

  • Very cool. But it is kind of slow. I could solve it faster than that thing can.

  • 4:10 mins nia........quite fast liao lo

  • I prey to robots Nao :)

  • Very Imprressive. Since you've totally automated the process, it would be neat to do a follow on project and build one that could beat any human. It would silence the haters and impress the ladies. (geeky ladies) It might be hard to do with legos though. :) How long did it take you to design/build this?

  • Could you tell me the algorithm that you used?

  • It's really cool! Nice gay!

  • i solved my v cube 7 while the video was on

  • Cool! That must have taken a very long time to build!

  • Nice work

  • how do u build all those things with a lego?

  • Oh my gosh did you realy make that!!!!! WOW O.O

  • its frknn awesome!!!!!!

  • the thing is it's not using all lego parts, the real NXT rubix cube solver uses a color sensor.

  • What program are you running?

  • I know how to solve a rubik's,but I'd like taht my robot can also solve it^^

can you send me(us?)the instructions please ?

  • can u give me instructions on how to build that please??

  • i do not belive what i just saw, that is fkin incredible

  • omg awesome is that

  • Was your program run on the computer, and commands were sent to the NXT, or did the NXT run it all? Is the camera connected to the computer, or NXT, and if its to the NXT can you explain how?

    Nice job.

  • hey mine has colours in different places would it still work?

  • howd you make that?

  • that is F-ing awesome. I used to have the first version of lego mindstorms when i was a kid... now im thinking about buying them all over again even though im 19.

  • @The1nX - go for it! If mentulatus is anything like me he'll love the fact that you've been inspired to go and build your own creations! :-)

  • proof that robots will solve are probomes for uss

  • @mattstorm360 Or will one day probally rule the entire world. 0_0

  • cool

  • bloody hell, that is genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • simply beautifull :3

  • maybe be slow but it's still perfect XD

  • "#GOOD"

  • Hey did you use just the basic parts that come with the NXT2 kit?

  • cubestormer is the best... ;)

  • Awesome work. Now, if it can only help me solve the puzzle of where my car keys are ill buy one. Hahaha

Great work to who ever built this device. :D

  • Heee man fantistc robot congratulations

  • You may consider it slow but it's using a minimum of parts and very simple elements to do complex tasks and that's not as easy as it sounds to do.

  • it may be slow but id like to see u build one like that and im not callling u stupid

  • 3:50 took so long just to realize it had to spin once xD

  • @killerzofnight Weill if you notice he has a webcam hooked up to the top of it. The beginning rotations were to process the image of each side of the rubix cube into matrices which the computer then used to solve the cube.

  • Ehm..... is this a reversed video????

    Cause it looks like

  • @firemann95 it only looks reversed if you are a huge idiot. If it was reversed, the arm on the right would have to magically pull the cube over, without being capable of grabbing in any way. Don't be dense.

  • I'm gonna make a machine that peals off the stickers and applies them in order. One color per side. :)

  • @FireAce44 LOL!!

  • Very Cool. Now, considering that this was uploaded more than two years ago? Even better.

  • thts slow...

  • well considering he made it himself at home with no government funding or like internet funding or w/e its good

  • yyy en 4 minutos lo hace hasta un mogolicoo

  • Nice Try. Good Job

  • very nice but the world record hes not broken (hes not very fast) but it was very funny and cool

  • High-tech stuff

  • No actually, it is very simple stuff. The components are from Lego and writing the program to solve it isn't that hard

  • But in my eyes he is very smart

  • @MrLolman666 ..."writing the program to solve it isn't that hard" - even one that can find a solution of only around 20 moves? :-)

  • o.o a webcam?!

  • At first I was going to make fun of you...but god damn.....that was fucking incredible.

  • @FacelessFiend - if you think this is ****ing incredible you should have a look at some of the others I've favourited on my channel - particularly the aptly named LEGO "Cubestormer" by RoboticSolutions that can solve any cube in under 12 seconds - amazing!?! :-)

  • how you can program this robot to solve the cube?

  • where do u get mindstorm

  • fantastic work!!

  • wow... cool

  • Which cube have you used?

  • Wtf

    O_O

    Nice xD

  • loox expensive XD

  • What program did you used? Can you send it to me?

  • dude so insane. thats awesome. right now im building an airsoft turret/droid that im programming to be automatic. money tends to be the hardest part right now tho haha.

    good vid 5/5

    subscribed

  • Seems to me that it sort of defeats the purpose. Getting your toys to play with your other toys for you? No thanks!

    :-)

  • isso é fake

    os movimentos ja estavam programados

  • you said you found an algorithm, so, does this robot use a method? or it finds the shortest way to solve it himself?

  • legos are smart

  • ...too smart

  • It is cool to think that any puzzle can be described by a set of equations. So, a computer can solve one. The reason the NXT can actually do this is because it has a 72 MHz ARM processor inside. It can do something around 100 million instructions per second. Again on the math. It is complex. Blue Gene 2, IBM's biggest super computer took something like 5 hours to solve a virtual 100x100 cube.

  • A bunch of legos are smarter than I am :-(

  • not smarter :) maybe just less lazy! if you try a tutorial you can learn in a few days!

  • @kramerc2 yes, i can't solve rubic cube!

  • @kramerc2 same here.... its strange aint it!

  • @kramerc2 Fucking calculator is smarter then me :P

  • Complimenti!

  • que mas hombre.... mire es que estoy tratando de desarrollar un robot para mi proyecto de grado y le agradecería si me pusiese contactar con usted para que me resolviera varias dudas....gracias

is that I am trying to develop a robot for my project of degree and i would be grateful for you if I was putting to contact with you in order that one was solving several doubts .... thank you

  • I'd love to see this contraption set loose with a Hellraiser-style puzzlebox....

  • THAT IS FREIKY

  • does this robot actually make mistakes?

  • Genius.

  • Nice!

But....that's a NXT Camera, rather than an NXT Ultrasound "Eyes"

    Nice...

I'd love too see the programming and build instructions, though.

  • The ultrasound only detects how far away an object is, it's more of a Sonar-like device. There is, however, a colour sensor, which looks like a black light sensor.

  • cool

  • thats really cool!

  • is he doing that cause there is a camra on it

  • of course , the camera allow the robot to see the colours or sayed in better way "the umbral"... the picture that the robot take it's part of the code of the program to order the cube ...

  • the camera is for the robot so it can analyze the cube

  • Awesome creation! It must've took a long time to build and program! Looks pretty rough on the cube when it flips it over though, lol! ;)

  • Anyone notice the logo solver move slowly across the table? Pause the video, drag the slider through it. :)

  • lol yea i noticed that - some heavy movements with its right hand

  • What do you mean?

  • The robot is okay ( 4/5 ). Pogramming the software to make the robot able to complete this puzzy must be GOODLIKE !! ( in my eyes ) . i like to give 6/5 but bad luck, there is only 5/5 allowed. so itz 5/5 . man , you are great !!

  • webcam same as mine lol

  • this thingy is just as good as me :D

  • Yeah but AIDS and World Hunger isnt a little puzzle made for fun you fucktard.

  • saving the world using robots? i think someone should go watch the matrix again lol

  • yah lol

  • ich hab deine Vides gesehen sie sind echt cool

  • i wish i can buy that XD

  • cool

  • holy shit that is frikin sweet

  • a lot better than peeling off the the little things and putting tem back on right!!!!!!!!!

  • it's kinda slow but come one it's lego!!! it is awesome!!! i can solve it in 26 sec:D(very lucky solve)

  • dude that aint a (very lucky solve)... he got a cam ontop witch looks at the colors,

then if you read discription you know he adopted the algorithems in the thing so it know what to do to solve it

  • he didnt say this video was a lucky solve, he was talking about when he solved it

  • he didnt say the robot was a very lucky solve dumbass. he meant himself.

  • Well done.

  • cool! the last one probly was set for different rotations, and this 1 might be set for colors. AWESOME!

  • oh noes! the robot has beaten me!

    i can't even solve 1

  • Freaking sweet!

  • wow that's amazing

    great work on the robot

  • great maaaaaaan xD

  • amazing, where can i buy this goddamned stuff?

  • Awesone i do not believe believe he remote controlled it becuase of the robot brute force technique that it did in it did in the computer

  • hes controlling th erobot with a remote controller

  • doubt it

  • If he is, he must be really smart and has a lot of patience to even bother to do this

  • whoa no this robot uses something called an algarithm...that little grey thing on top is a colour sensor...it calculates the smallest amount of moves needed and takes that route...it is not remote controlled...i have built one

  • hows it work

  • Soo cool!!!

  • so... what are the wheels for?

  • heey, you shouldn't be able to use homebrew sensors =( it takes all the fun out of it =(

  • but he needs them

otherwise the damn thing takes all day

  • wow thats pretty awesome. i am planning on making some kind of cube solving robot soon too. legos, great idea lol.

  • i can haz building destructions and .rbt file? PLEEEZ??? this thing is soo awesome i have to try it. does it require any parts not included with the nxt?

  • THATS FUCKED UP BUT AWESOME!

  • Your website...could you post a download of the instructions? or something like lego digital desginer?....Thanks!

Ps ya id like to make one

  • great work!

  • Wow... :O

  • i would of laughed if that thing just said dont touch my work and just started to turn your hand different ways and shit lol!

  • the first version is faster

  • ...

The first version was almost solved when it started.

  • And this can solve any cube, the first version cant.

  • i don't know. i don't think it's the camera, or really if it can even see the colors, cause the way it solves it, it looks like it's just reversing the mix up, because that's not how you would solve a TOTALLY mixed cube. my theory is that it was set up to move it in one way, and it was mixed up in that exact way so that it can be solved.

  • prove it

  • Holy shit!!!!!!!!!! Dude thats freak'n awsome!

  • jajajaaj That was the brilliant comment ever

  • I agree.

  • That's really amazing.

  • How did you make that thing in the first place, at first solving a mixed rubix cube is impossible. Having an NXT robot do it, now that is an insane stunt that I think needs a color sensor.

  • well did u ever wonder wat that camera thing is doing on the top :|? i saw some other vid that showed a comp, there is one that does it totaly it self. titled rubix cube solver.

  • the camera on the top is what solves it, it inputs the color format, then the pre coded scripts solve it. you haven't seen one without a camera that is real because its not possible for a robot to do something this complex without human input or color sensors.

  • cool man! =]

  • so cool

  • good job, yo!

  • 3:30 min to solve one...60min / 3:30 = 17 every hour....24*17= 411 every day...2877 weekly... Maybe someone can solve it faster but I doubt people had the patience doing the boring works that robots do.

  • hmhm im thinking you miked the cube in a certain way and programmed the thing to follow that order. if not then good job

  • thats cool

    good job

  • COOOL!!!

  • how did u make that

  • awesome

    but its 2 slow

  • whoa, lame video, but a pile of lego's did that...

  • sad and lame

  • my bad, I'm sorry, i noticed after watching it again, really awesome robot.

  • u can have SO much fun ... with me C

  • its to noisy......
