I have some descending tips for beginners. 1. Look at the apex of the corner, and when you get there shift your sight to the exit of the corner on the outside edge. 2. Press your weight on your outside foot and squeeze the inside handlebar. 3. Practice the same tight turn over and over again. Once you master it, move onto the next turn you can find. 4. Don't be afraid of the bicycle slipping, the only time that is real danger is when the road is wet. Take a physics class to gain confidence!

@RedheadDane Probably because he was so doped up he didnt care!! Still not sure if he doped but he did lie about his whereabouts for testing? Shame, such a talent.
Well... he's been tested at other times (when they managed to find him... or HE managed to find himself...) and as far as I know he's never been tested positive... just think of those days he was in yellow in 2007... he would've been tested everyday! Don't you think we would've heard it by now if he was positive back then?
Though he COULD have used something to calm his nerves on that TT back in 2005...
No... actually the reason he's called chicken is, to quote Wikipedia:
"His nickname in Danish is Kyllingen (English: The Chicken), originating from his period as a mountain biker when teammates were watching the Danish children's TV show, Bamses Billedbog, about a bear and a chicken. A large team mechanic was nicknamed Bear, and so Rasmussen was dubbed The Chicken."
Well in 2007 he smashed Contador, so why should it not be possible to doit again in 2010 or 2011? he been trained about 65.000 km last year so he is in a okey shape i queus.
He was doped out of his mind in 2007. With the bio passport it is much harder to get away with being so doped unless your lance or alberto....
Anyways most of the training he did while suspended was base, he doesn't have and race miles in his legs. He needs to work on intensity if we wants to even get good enough to get signed to a team that gets a tour invite.
Lastly, age is not on his side. He is well past his peak age and gets worse each year.
@SwedishBeatballs Not every pro can go that quickly around corners on a descent, he is taking major risks here... Have you ever rode a TT bike? Road bikes and TT bikes feel different, especially in a race. Cornering is more difficult on a TT bike, and Rasmussen obviously hadn't practiced enough on his TT bike. If I am thinking about the same day that you are... Get your facts straight before you make flawed claims.
If not every pro can descend quickly then why are you all complimenting him on his average decent.
Obviously TT bikes arn't nearly as good at handling as a road bike. I still stand by my comment that he sucks at handling, the coarse is released well before the race starts, Rabobank would have seen there was a downhill in the TT. Rasmussen is the only one to blame.
@SwedishBeatballs im sorry do you ride for team saxo bank? are you andy schleckk comeon now stop messing around here, everyone knows your just an internet troll trying to pick fights with teenagers. just give up its kinda pathetic
Ok fine I'll admit it. THIS WAS THE BEST DECENT EVER DONE. LITTLE CHICKEN MAN IS WORLD RENOWNED FOR IS TECHNICAL SKILLS. NO ONE CAN EVER STAY ON HIS WHEEL GOING DOWN HILL. HES A FUCKING GOD.
If your going to use sarcasm at least ask if im Paolo Savoldelli or Samuel Sánchez. Andy is in the same boat as Rasmussen. At least they are better than Frank....oh boy.
@SwedishBeatballs BTW your gay buttt i used schleck because hes relatively well know and sanchez is pretty damn swift but nott so far of schlecks ability to descend that it was in a way my sarcasm was appropriate. idk about grammer your not really worth my time
Rasmussen rules. I can't see why the tour-management won't let Rasmussen participate anymore, but have no quarrels in letting former dopers join the race..
because he was sacked by his own team, currently has no contract and missed doping tests and told lies which is very strange as a clean rider shouldnt be afraid of being tested unless he has something to hide.
cheaters like him, ricco and so on have to be kicked out forever!
