OH i do like this! someone has used this on utube! as a backing music of theMET POLICE DOING AN EMERGENCY LIVER RUN ! by THE MET TRAFFIC DIVISION! check it out! its AWESOME!
I still have the vinyl lp - bought many years ago at either HMV or Virgin in the Arndale Centre in Manchester. I 'd heard a couple of the tracks and was really pleased to find it. Still in good condition but I won't be parting with it
@geofseven Try amazon or ebay. Im sure this was released on Japanese markets as a cd. But as others have pointed out, its a rare album and may cost a fair bit
@geofseven I sometimes have a look around charity shops at old vinyl and in the past have found old Wakeman lp's. I think that may be your best bet at the moment. It amazes me that its so expensive and even tempts me to sell it!
Actually, the first time I heard this, I thought it sounded more like Keith Emerson than Rick Wakeman. But that's ok, I love them both and love this song.
Yes, it is. What a wonderful track, one of my favourite Wakey tracks. I always have to play it loud. Thanks for uploading, Neil, it's a real classic and milestown.
I had this on vinyl. The ex has it now :)

There are some songs that come on like a storm and don't allow you to breathe until it's over. This is one of them.

Trying t get the whole album - preferably a CD - but the record in good condition would be fine
Any ideas where I can find it at a sensible price>???

@neil73 Thanks for that - I did see a Japanese CD - but
I can live without it for £50=+ prices
I would pay up to a max of £20= - but it is just one of many albums that I would like
so if I can't get it then it's tough.
Maybe I will find a record one day - I can transfer it to CD for Car listening or to convert for MP3 player. Don't mind records.

Blazingly awesome track, and a great album. Great movie too if you get a chance to see it.
I had a friend who tried to learn to cover this song, if you can believe it, he came fairly close. Needless to say, not easy.

I would love to lock Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson & Alan Parsons in the same studio and hear the end product.

One of Wakeman's trademarks are those trills. Very frilly and classical sounding. Otherwise the overall mood of the song is rather Emerson-like.

I really like this too, I do have all his music on tape, alot on LP and some Dvds...... Well I have what I have and I like the comments on here.
Take care people and the times I have met Rick and once with Adam in the past was great.
Just got his new book that out.

Anyone know where to find the film this music was part of the soundtrack for?
It was a documentary film of the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics, narrated by James Coburn. Called "White Rock", funnily enough!
Can't find it anywhere...

I can't find it either, I think I found a couple of sites with just the album (LP) on but that cost about $600!!
If you find out let me know! Been searching for this for over 30 years now!
