You wouldn't catch the magazine with your other hand unless you have ammunition still inside it for an emergency reload, if necessary. An empty magazine does nothing for you, and it only wastes time which could get you killed trying to put it away.
Well airsoft is simulation of reality and since you are relying on your weapon to save your life you wouldn't want to put an empty magazine into your weapon by mistake.
Very nice, buy try to develop some type of reload where you leave the mag as you grab a fresh one. that is what i do with my mags. i can reload my glock 17 in about 1.7 seconds. i hit the release while grabbing the mag out of the well, drop it in my dump pouch and on my way up grab a fresh one to put in the gun. hit the slide release and you are good to go. I can fire 23 rounds and reload in about 4.6 seconds. very quick. not accurate, but quick.

Why do people buy stupid alien-looking guns with what looks like a baked potatoe for a hopper? As well as it shooting slow moving paint at each other, while wearing camo or XXX-Large jerseys? Why don't they go walk in front of traffic?

They mean that airsoft is similar by tactics, paintball is more of a huge firefight where as airsoft is more use of tactics and small and sometime big firefights. That's all they mean by it.

We ain't do that kind of job in french army. We do war prevention , interposition. We're not involved in ill-justifed wars. So our military has a far more life durability in deployment.

Yep. FAMAS. Gunners are using FN M249 and snipers FRF2 or PGM Hecate ;)
