It was very interesting and completely factual and if is worth checking out. Hopefully one day we will all have a mini black hole under the kitchen sink which will act as a 'super' waste disposal unit.

At this point of density, no black hole is "small", as it sucks in everything around it within it's gravitational pull. Therefor, unless you mean that this gun is going to shoot across galaxies, and swallow entire planetary systems near the person being shot, I don't think it can be done.

another reason i am not sure the scientist know the whole story is this.
if the big bang is true, then all of the stuff in the universe was compacted into something smaller than an atom.
seems that fits the definition of a black hole.
ok, then how did it expand?
how did it "explode?
is our universe inside of a black hole now?
do photons generate gravity?
i know thet seem to be affected by it, the gravity lense for example.

I agree entirely.
Scientist makes theories that are impossible to prove wrong and more impossible to prove right. Since you can't prove it wrong therefore it needs to be right because the other explanation is too ridiculous.
Like the decay of the force of gravity. If string theory is true then the moon should constantly be closer to us every year, or the earth to the sun and the sun to the center of our galaxy and our galaxy to the center of all galaxies from where the big bang happened.

I remember watching a Walt Disney documentary about this years ago called 'The Black Hole'.
It was very interesting and completely factual and if is worth checking out. Hopefully one day we will all have a mini black hole under the kitchen sink which will act as a 'super' waste disposal unit.

I had the idea of a black hole gun. you shoot it at someone and put a very tiny black hole so that it implodes them.

A black hole itself is just a bunch of mass in a certain small spot, so it is so dense that matter actually collapses in on itself. At this point of density, no black hole is "small", as it sucks in everything around it within it's gravitational pull. Therefor, unless you mean that this gun is going to shoot across galaxies, and swallow entire planetary systems near the person being shot, I don't think it can be done.

He put it perfectly. I think i remember seeing that someone calculated if you had a block whole the size of a quarter. After a day it would have continued to oscillate on the earth's gravity gaining mass and sucking it in within a day.

Yeah, I read a while back that if you had a cubic centimeter jam packed full of atoms, such that they were so close together that the nuclei were all touching, (assuming that the subatomic forces holding the atoms together weren't broken by then) you would have a mass of around 250 million cubic metric tons.

what u mean is a anti matter gun, that shoots anti matter or black matter to cancel out the object in existance. A black hole would be too much thats like having a gun that will swallow the entire earth when shot off.
BTW: black matter / dark matter / anti matter has been made by humans on earth, just a few atoms. It is kept in a magnetic field hovering because if it touches something it dissapears. in theory if they can make it larger you have your bullit.

When anti-matter and matter are combined, all that would happen would be a destruction of both matters, and a release of pure energy. There is nothing that would make a "tiny black hole" outside of sci fi of which he's talking about.

Haha, let's hope not. But he was talking about a singular person imploding, so anti-matter particles wouldn't do that, they would just essentially explode. He's talking about something that can't happen because of the ratios of our mass and density to the mass and density of which matter begins to collapse in on itself. It can't happen in such a small amount that it only effects one person, it's too small. It's either all or nothing with that kinda thing.

Yeah but they use cool technology to make the size adjustable, and the black hole would disapear in about a quarter of a second, and would be "tamed" so it wouldn't suck in light and/or unintended targets. It's not scientifically plausible, but it would be awesome in a movie/comic.

Why not? It is an object, only one that does not let light escape due to extreme gravity. But there are other ways to 'see' an object, for example in other frequencies such as infrared or gamma rays.

yes but what about bending of space-time dimensions ? when we take a picture of an ordinary object and we look at it we don't have any problem about comparison between the dimensions of the object the background image and ourselves but in black hole case !!? I don't know
