  • another bastard who wanted to kill another beatle 2:54

  • GEORGE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WAR GAMES AND WE ARE ONLY PUPPETS. I FOCUS HERE ON THE DEATH OF MY IDOL THAT I GREW UP TO UNDERSTAND HIS MESSAGE IN HIS SONGS. TO HEEL WITH THOSE THAT DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT HE WAS A MAN OF PEACE & VERY SPIRTUAL. HE UNDERSTOOD HINDUISM & THE HIGHWER CONSCIOUSNESS. HE HAD A MESSAGE FOR OTHER TO HEAR IF THEY MADE THE CONNECTION. HE ALSO DID NOT EAT ANIMALS. HE WAS NOT AN IDIOT THAT TRIED TO GIVE HIS WEALTH TO THE POVERTY YET DID WHAT HE COULD. LOVE THE MAN 4 EVER,

  • I remember when he died a lot of people came to me & said they'd heard the news & asked if I was alright as if he was a family member or close friend... in a way he was. I also remember as much as I love playing the guitar more then anything in the world, that night I couldn't even look at it. RIP George Harrison, if they called you the "quiet beatle" it's because they weren't listening.

  • RIP

  • george lives on

  • Cancer can strike anyone at anytime, Smoking or not!

The children in the hospitals around the world got cancer.

    WE ALL DIE!

It's something none of us can run away from because that's life!

I don't want to be here forever because it's too damn expensive to live & there is no use worrying about it because you end up dead anyway!

    So why bother?

  • @Godzie1 - The difference is that George preached

HEALTH while he smoked six packs a day! Not a very

intelligent thing to do, never mind that it makes you look

absolutely stupid! However, you're right, death can come

at us at any time. However, few of us look so silly as when

we lecture people on things we ourselves have no control

over. He also preached the evils of MATERIALISM while

he lived in the 120-room exotic mansion Friar Park. George's

legacy is one of extreme hypocrisy.

  • @CubanCheGuevara No one and I mean NO ONE smokes 6 packs a day! Who the hell do you think your fooling? Been around smokers all my life (over 50 years) & the most I've seen was 3 packs. I myself is a chain smoker at 2 packs (2.1/2 if stressed) 38 years now! I'm not dead but hate the fact the government took control of cost & this banning shit! Worlds gone mad! Anyway it was his money he earned it..So he lived the way he wanted!

  • @Godzie1 - I don't deny him his money. It's just that

once George starts talking HEALTH he forfeits the

mantle of the great teacher. If he preaches the evils

of MATERIALISM, he no longer has any way to justify

living in obscene comfort. You know...it occurs to me

that Scorses's new film "Living In A Material World" is

a kind of tacit acknowledgement that George was a

confused man. He wanted to be the Gandhi Guru...but

he couldn't give up the money! Thus, George remains

    a hypocrite.

  • @CubanCheGuevara A wise and influent man once said...Who should cast the first stone?

Never judge another person because we are all here thinking we know what we do & say? truth we really don't know?

Just following others who don't know what they are doing either? Until death & that's the only thing certain!

  • @Godzie1 - Ugh! Did you REALLY just throw me a biblical cliche at me? And since you raised the point, where is the wisdom in "casting a stone" at someone who is "casting a stone"? Isn't that hypocrisy? My god, then, you follow it up with another cliche: "until death"? Here's one for you by Waldo Emerson: - --------> "I hate quotations! Tell me what YOU know"! - The irony is I can't really use it. Since I'm actually QUOTING someone to admonish someone who is QUOTING! You see my dilema?
  • @CubanCheGuevara George Harrison was no Gandhi but just was involved w/the hindu religion. (just not that much to give up what he got) After all he had a family to think of? You will find out that the whole world is hypocritical, but all we can do is go on & live the best way we can by not take it to heart. You will go crazy trying to figure people out? (don't even try)

  • @Godzie1 - What you would never tolerate in a

friend you enthusiastically tolerate in a celebrity.

You confuse your laziness virtue. It's TOO much

trouble to do the right thing so you pretend to rise

above it. Now your politicians and Wall Street don't

have to worry. And why should your fellow citizens

aspire to anything better since celebrities like Harrison

never bothered? Get up off your knees, wipe your

mouth clean and quit groveling at the feet of a

    celebrity. Especially THIS one!

  • @CubanCheGuevara

This is a perfect example of why I quit trying to figure people out? As far as politicians & Wall street? They better be worried now w/occupy! This is just the start of things to come!

As far as George Harrison is concerned he is dead & no longer able to defend himself!

You need to learn to respect the dead!

  • @Godzie1 - Pfft! "The beginning"! They're not worried

about you. Frankly, your polite little street gatherings will

only frustrate you since it's winter. Nothing ever came

our of polite revolutions. Ask the Egyptians, the Cubans

and even the 1777 Americans. What your government

has done to you requires a rage. Real bricks with real

violence. Blood will have to be shed and buildings must burn but until this happens, expect to be raped daily by

    Wall Street and Washington forever!

  • @CubanCheGuevara #1 America's been "raped" by the government ever since the 80s w/Ronnie at the switch!

#2 Go & rent the video "Gangs of New York" w/Decaprio...True story when American's did it your way...See how that ended up! Don't let history repeat itself w/it's past mistakes!

#3 Never try to change the world because it will do nothing but lead you to an early death of pain & heartache!

But then you can bitch at George in heaven?

instead of me on Youtube! :P

  • @Godzie1 - Sorry, I don't watch movies. Maybe that's

your problem, you've seen too many. I remind you that

the the United States was born out of violence. Violence

is the mid-wife of all new civilized societies. But don't let

me stop you. Go ahead, ask a Grizzly bear politely to

please return your lunch. Go ahead. I'm going to enjoy

    watching this.

  • @CubanCheGuevara Your nuts!

  • @Godzie1 - Ugh! ...it's "YOU'RE nuts...as in "you are"...not "your". Why does George Harrison attract such an uneducated fan base?

  • @CubanCheGuevara

OMG ok I'll say it again..

    YOU'RE NUTS..

    BATTY...

    INSANE...

    PATHETIC...

    CRAZY...

NEED OF THERAPY BECAUSE YOU ARE LETTING A DEAD MaN LIKE GEORGE HARRISON OBSESSE YOUR MIND!

    That's pathological?

  • Cancer's a heck of thing... especially lung cancer :( Please don't smoke, dad. Look at George!

  • THE HIDDEN CURE. Cancer is a chronic metobolic disease caused by a dietary deficiency of nitrilosides found in bitter fruit seeds and other unpopular foods just like scurvy is a deficiency of vit C - This was discovered in 1952- Big druga / FDA covered up the cure and declared it fraud and quackery. Watch WORLD WITHOUT CANCER Video and investigate. Many lives have been saved just by modifying diet and just saying no thank you to the Big pharma / FDA chemo/ radiation money $ cartel .

  • did he pass away before making the album?

  • The what clinic in minnesota?

    Mayo???? Where's that? I MUST..GO...VISIT....

  • poor gorge rest in peace

  • Fucking hell :(

  • R.I.P. George Harrison-3

  • poor guy, because its like this - he was a wise man who was ready to die, but same token - a stabbing is no way to go... it must have been scary, i'm glad he survived even if it was only to a couple more years

  • Let Me Guess: That derranged man was the same dumbshit who shot Lennon, Mark David Chapman.

  • Y DID HE HAV TO SMOKE!!!!!!! I get that everyone smoked bac then, BUT Y COULDNT GEORGE HAV BEEN THE EXCEPTION!!!

  • Makes you wonder.......Harrison comes to the USA for his cancer treatment.......I guess that says something about universal socialized medical care In GB

  • @inkey2 If he did get his treatment in the U.S. he could afford it because he was filthy rich. Very few people have that advantage.

  • @NotADood well thats exactly my point.......he could afford the best health care in the world yet he did not want to get treatment in his own country....he came to the USA. My point was that proponants speak so glowingly about the great socialized medicine is in europe and GB yet the moment they get seriously ill they hop the first plane to the United States. That does not say much for socialized medecine

  • @inkey2 So what are poor people with cancer supposed to do under this glorious and magnificent system?

  • @NotADood... depends.........if you are very poor you would probably be covered by some kind of wellfare or public assistance...or the new health insurance Obama put through for the poor (about 30 million people covered).....the people who really get screwed are the ones that make a little over the poverty level. They don't always qualify for alot of these programs. My point was not about money....or who can or cannot afford medical care. It was the quality of care i meant

  • @inkey2 Quality of care is moot when only the wealthiest people can access it.

  • @NotADood if you are near middle class in the usa and have good insurance you can access it. You do not have to be wealthy to access good health care but at least middle class. For example I am middle class, although insurance is expensive i go without the frills that most people in our modern society have in order to afford it. I drive an 18 year old car, I live in a one bedroom condo (that i own), my wife uses public transportation (no car), it is a matter of priorities

  • @inkey2 If this then that. Whatever. It still leaves a lot of people fucked when they get sick.

  • I thought it was in the late

  • wow that hilliray brown chick has a good voice!!! (JK cus it went straight to gerge)

  • In 2001 George reportedly began treatment at a Switzerland clinic to fight a brain tumor with radiation therapy. On November 29, 2001, despite the aggressive cancer treatments, died of his throat cancer, lung cancer and brain tumors, in a friend’s home in Los Angeles.

  • Hahah the derranged man got clobbered by Liv with a candestick holder!! And he looked like crap!! Way to go Olivia!!

  • @CuteMcBeauty

    Clue: The Beatles Edition:

    Possible endgame:

Mean Colonel Mustard accuses Olivia Harrison of brutalizing Michael Abrams with the candlestick in the conservatory.

  • @NeilFraudstrong LOL :)

  • Wasn't he lovely? Yes, he was so lovely. Such a lovely man.

  • It was so sad when he said 'All things must pass but George doesn't plan to any time soon' :(

  • Sad stuff. George is missed

  • @johnny10301968

I am not sure. Even though he died in 2001, I can remember the documentary from the Traveling Wilburys box set which clearly shows him smoking several times during the songwriting sessions which were held in 1988-1989. So I am not sure when, or if, he stopped smoking, but he was still smoking heavily as late as the late 1980's.

  • @NeilFraudstrong I read that he continued to smoke until he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1997.

  • @NeilFraudstrong

I read that George quit smoking in 1997 when he was diagnoised with throat cancer.

  • Comment removed

  • @johnny10301968 no, George himself said he was too stubborn to quit thats what he wrote the song "Lead a Horse To Water" about. part of the problem was the aknife attack injured 1 of George's lungs so they couldnt cure his throat cancer the last time since he only had 1 good lung

  • @johnny10301968 Yes he did quit in late nineties after his first cancer scare. But as we found out, unfortunatley the damage was already done.

  • may george play the guitar with john in heaven... i hope they both rest in peace...

  • @sacramentolove maybe but I hope he will be reborn again as he believed

  • @bibi5027 wow, your 4 years late lol. anyway, he cant be reborn, now dont get offended or anything it depends what you believe in. i dont know if you believe in reincarnation or heaven, but the only way we could see george is when we die, but i dont believe death just like john so yeah... i guess i wont see him...

  • jeez he went through a lot. it's hard to imagine that we've lived without him for 8 years now.

  • so he didn't have cancer?but ccuz a man stab him

  • No. He did have cancer. It was just saying that he had endured a lot in that span of time since he had a cancer scare (before his fatal bout of cancer) and an intruder broke into his home, Friar Park, and stabbed him several times. He had a collapsed lung and he nearly died. The knife came within 1/8th of an inch from his heart.

He was walking in his garden in February of 2001 and started coughing up blood. Later, he found that the cancer spread to his brain and that it was terminal.

  • @NeilFraudstrong and he died like in November or December 2001.

  • @jwgreek8606

    November 29th, 2001.

  • That's one big house holy shit

  • It's 120 rooms set on approximately 50 acres (maybe more). It was in severe disrepair when George moved in both inside and out. George fixed it up room by room and restored the gardens all by himself (well, with a crew, but it was not a big production at all. Maybe 12 people or less). It was also a Catholic nunnery at one point in time. Dhani Harrison grew up there. Can you imagine growing up in a place like Friar Park? I mean my god. I would love to see the interior.

  • @NeilFraudstrong I think that friar park was open for people then

  • @bibi5027

Not when he was stabbed. Friar Park was largely open to the public (as was his former home, Kinfauns) in the 1970s before John was murdered. After John was murdered, George became a major recluse and closed off all public access. George would also rarely attend events unless they were of high security (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame events and large concert events). John's murder changed him a lot. That's also why Paul barely performed in the 80s. He thought he would be next.

  • @NeilFraudstrong He loved gardens, and when you look at friar park,he planting lot of trees, flowers etc, with other people, his othershouses was also great all around flowers, trees, etc,Dhani said he was still in his garden and love night planting, cuse he wanted be wonder what he seed, when he woke up at morning

  • I love you Georgie!

    We all miss you RIP

  • love the beatles

R.I.P John Lennon and George Harrison

  • Ha!

    Look at Ringo! 2:35

    R.I.P. George

  • I don't think people realise just how good a musician George was. He'd jam some wicked sessions with Carl Perkins and others.I think his Buddhist faith helped George a lot too:the day George was stabbed was just awful.A very talented and reticent man who was also very brave. Thanks very much for this.

  • "I wanted to be successful, but I never asked to be famous".

    Or something along those lines.

  • I never knew that George was a solitude kind of guy. Yet again, I never even knew about him until a couple weeks ago! My brothers and dad were always talking about John and Paul my whole life, that when I actually noticed the poster in my sister's room, I asked her, "Who's that other guy?" And she didn't know either! Since then, George has been my favorite Beatle, John second. He truly was/ is overshadowed by John, Paul, and a little bit of Ringo.

    Rest in Peace George Harrison.

  • George detested fame and all the stuff that came with it. He liked to make music and he wanted to make music, but he just didn't want all the other stuff that came with it. Paul loves it, John was whatever on it, but George always hated it. I think Ringo probably wants any recognition he can get. People think George was a major jerk, but he wasn't at all. He just wanted his privacy like anybody else and it should have been given to him, but unfortunately it was breached in most cases.

  • @NeilFraudstrong you know I am the same when somebody ask me at my privacy I am furious,I think, when ask me on pretty private thing you know? I would never called Georgie jerk..I sound also like jerk when I dont want answer about my privacy, but but its me,I never see George act like jerk when he was asking about, the questions bothered him but he was still nice

  • i nearly cried by the time this video was over, i'm serious

    he's such an optimistic person

    i really admire him

i feel so bad for his son and wife

by the way, could you upload more of the john by cynthia lennon audio tape? i've read the book 2 times, but the audio was great : )

  • @DElasee Me, too. But that was nothing compared to the meltdown I had when he died.

  • Thanks for uploading that Chris, I actually have a DVD that was released over here called George Harrison - The Quiet Beatle and it contains a lot of that footage, as well as the footage and interviews from when he was attacked in his home. George and John were both my favourite Beatles and unfortunately nobody realised just how good George was when he was a Beatle - overshadowed by John and Paul. But did he show them. All Things Must Pass - What a Masterpiece!

  • It really saddens me to see this because George's operation was actually NOT that successful, but that's what they said to get the press to shut up and leave them alone. It came out later that George knew as early as February or March of 2001 that he was going to die. But he faced death without fear and I really admire him for that.

  • I don't think he was afraid to die, he seemed like the kind of person who would just take that in stride and accept it. I think the only reason he would have be upset about dying would be because of having to leaving Olivia ad Dhani behind.

  • I don't think he was afraid either. I think he was completely confident in his religious beliefs which gave him peace about the whole thing.

  • Yeah he accepted that death was just like getting out of one car and getting into another one and he was ready for it long before he passed away. He even left detailed notes for Dhani and Jeff Lynne on how he wanted the songs from Brainwashed to be arranged and completed and was working on this album right up until the end. He was a true genius and a genuine guy. I cant believe that he was ony 19 years older than John when he passed away! It isnt that long a period when you look at it!

  • R.I.P. George...

  • Amen.
